I cleaned the filter, cleaned the carburetor. Going to check the spark plug tomorrow and if that fails ill remove the fuel that has been in there for 3 years. Hopefully then this thing will start. Thanks for the tips.
Use some purple degreaser on the air filter instead of gas. Gas eats up the foam element. When dry put the filter in a baggie with a cap full of fresh oil and swish it in. That’s how it catches the dirt. Good job!
You’ll find also, no oil drain plug. Husqvarna tells owners NOT to change the oil, just add as needed!!🙄🤪 You can drain it a couple of ways but I would absolutely change the oil.
Had new pull cord put on mine with new blade, and oil changed. Pull cord will lock up where can't pull out all way ,except every other pull, and it's not wanting to start. Filter is still fairly new &clean on mine. But I don't know about spark plug, don't know if they changed it with oil changed or not. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks
Mine did the same except it just won't crank and start on either. It's even a new carb. It ran good until I shut it off for a few mins and then went to start it and the pull start would no budge. And it hasn't started again since.
@@shabear1000 I pulled the carb. drained the bowl, checked the valves, fresh gas tonight ,and I checked for spark again. Unless the flywheel moved on the key. OR one of the plastic lobes moved on the cam.
@stuartracing1 could be that key, that's the easiest thing to check first. If it's OK then it could be a cam lobe. Also could be a stuck decompression valve
The plug tester says “CHINA” on it, so that’s why you can’t see the light brother. Lol JK seriously though, thank you for the helpful video. You da man!
Ahh, the spark tester….pull the wire off the plug WITH the plug IN. Then put the coil type boot on the plug and the blunt end of the tester goes into the coil boot. Then when you pull the recoil, if your problem isn’t the plug or coil…you’ll get spark in the clear center of the tester.
Mine won’t start. I took out the carburetor and drained it. It was flooded. And I put in new gas, and put in a new spark plug but it’s still not starting? Do you have any suggestions???
3 things needed: fuel, air, spark. Check spark plug for wetness to see whether fuel is getting into the cylinder? If plug is dry, add small amount of fuel through carb intake. Pull cord. Results will determine next move.
Thanks for this! Can’t wait to get home and try your methods! Appreciate your work good sir!
Thanks man, I appreciate you watching and commenting. Let me know how it turns out for you.
😂 wow the lit cigarette 🚬 🤦🏻♂️ lol.. good video though thanks for posting 👍🏻

Change the fuel first. That could be the whole issue. Let me know how it turns out.

Thx! I added sum starter fluid and mine cranked right up!
You're welcome. Glad to hear you got it running.

The problem is with the recoil starter (pull cord). Whoever put that in messed up somewhere. Have them do it again.
@@shabear1000 thank you
Love this guy

Sounds like something is locking it up

@@shabear1000 Hmmm, compression valve. I need to checking that. Thanks.
Larry the Mower guy! Looks like Florida? Nice Vette, 85 or 86?
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome so much lol

Check for spark.

The jet in the carb needs cleaning or replace carb altogether
thank you for sharing this video , I tried to subscribe to your channel but didn't work
You're very welcome. And that's ok. I still appreciate you watching and commenting. Have a great evening, sir.
Nice vidoe but the cig 😬
We all have our bad habits. One is judging others on theirs.
My cord will not pull but you can turn the blade by hand
Take the top off and check if there is a problem with the rope.
Please stop smoking. You will get your wind back and enjoy your family longer😂😂😂
Please stop judging people, that can help YOU live longer. We all have bad habits, one is judging others on their theirs.
Great words of wisdom!!! Keep up the good work and thanks for the helpful video @shabear1000
You should’ve drained the carb 1st
All with a LIT cigar. SMH
It's always a pleasure to talk to someone who is perfect and don't judge others. Unfortunately this is not one of those times.
Are you smoking a blunt?
Unfortunately no lol
