I have the exact same mower. Like an idiot, I ran it under some shrubs an yanked the governor spring off. Luckily, I managed to locate the spring and with your help, I’m up and running again. Thank you!
Just fixed my mower! Symptom was it would barely start and I had to shake it to make it rev up. Wouldn’t restart if I shut it off. Turns out this spring was stopping carb from opening up. Loosened spring for more rpm’s. (I started it with gas tank hanging and messed with spring to get it just right.)
If you bend it in the way that tightens the spring, that is increasing you RPM's. If you bend it in a way that's relaxing it then you're decreasing your RPM's. A little bend goes a long ways.
I recently acquired a husqvarna mower like this. I found it strange there is no throttle control, having been use to the old style engines. turns out the governor spring was also missing which explains (I think) why it has very low power at the moment. I adjusted the governor arm to get it running but didn't realise there's supposed to be a spring under there aswell. another issue I had was the inlet valve guide had worked its way into the inlet port and stopped the inlet valve from fully closing so it had no compression. I took the cylinder head off which was pretty easy and took the valve abs valve spring out and drifted the stem back in place plus added glue on the top side. hopefully when I fit a governor spring it will all work well. thanks for the video. weird new school engines - I'm not use to this!

Glad this helped you out!
Thanks dude! I've been searching all over for this video and it totally fixed my issue. You rock!
Thanks! Glad I could help out!
Is there a way to adjust this on the carburettor?

Just bought a Husky LC221A and hope I didn't waist my money. Good video for future use.
ra15899550 you wasted your money, nothing but problems with these
Other than performing general maintenance, no problems yet but we’ll see.
Do you bend it forward or back? Which direction?

Thanks for shortening my trial & error time 😏
So what do you do with it once you find it ?!
I just loosened the spring and now my carb can open up.
Can you show us how to replace the rope on this kind of mower?
I'll take a look and see what it all entails and try to post a video over that very soon. Thanks for the request!

OMG! THANK YOU!!
Great video! Thanks man!
Great..u-d-man..tks
Thanks for the video, but in the future your videos will be better if you turn your phone 90 degrees,
I agree!
Great suggestion! Honestly, I stopped in the middle of mowing to make the video because I was so frustrated at the engine speed lol.
What RPM should this motor be set to? Mine runs at 3,300rpm
I'm not 100% sure what the proper RPM is for this mower. I may try and contact Husqvarna on that.

Never really showed how to adjust the spring....
He just bent the bar forward a bit to stretch the spring which increases the engines rpm...
you are forgiven and stop complaining
