A perfect epilogue! It actually ties in well with the ending and justifies the hunter’s decision more. It hurt them to betray a woman who loved them just as much as they hurt her. Though dethroning the countess benefited her more. Her cruel nature mellowed and her cold heart thawed, the only thing left she desired was the hunter. It’d be amazing to see more of these two characters but this has been one of the best stories I’ve listened to!
This hunter fairly carved out his own heart at the end of the series when he attempted to do his duty. Afterward, he closed the book on the hunter chapter of his life and moved on, never imagining that the Countess would forgive him, let alone still desire him and seek him out. This epilogue was more than I ever hoped for! Thank you so, so much!! I was content with the way you ended the story, but this was a very special treat!
I knew that the Hunter truly loved the Vampiress. Not the Countess she became but who she was once he learned she was more than the tyrant that ran his homeland. But she had to be removed from power for everyone's sake including her own.
Panther Hardraag Though painful, the hunter’s betraying her actually ended up being a good thing. I can imagine the hunter was tormented for 10 years with that decision, having to betray someone who loved them. They probably expected her to return vengefully, to end them or to enslave them again. But she returned in peace, the ice now melted from her heart and she returned out of love instead of hate. And in this reunion they silently forgave one another. This was an amazing story.
I looked at my former love and I spoke sincerely: "Duty is the death of love. Those were the words that my trainer said me when I was 15 or 16, I can't remember. Yes, I went to the castle with the intentions of seducing you and let you lower your guard to start an uprising. And everything went according to my plan except for one thing. I did never expected to fall in love with you for real. I don't know when I started to see you not as a monster, but as a woman. I started to have doubts. And when that faithful day came, I didn't want to. I had my duty and my love for you, Stephanie. But even though I loved you, I couldn't let my personal feelings cloud the truth: you needed to be dethroned so everything improves. So I stabbed you un the back at the same time that another knife tresspassed my heart. I forced myself to fight you, but I couldn't bring myself to end your life. I want you to know I'm truly sorry. " I'm so happy the Hunter and Evelyn had their happy ending.
Shout out to the 5 am post. I love that the story ended this way. The Hunter truly did love the Countess. I cheered when the hunter went for the kiss. This was a great conclusion to the story that made me subscribe in the first place. I hope to see a new chapter in their story.
I've been using the countess as an NPC in my VTM campaign and while I've enjoyed making her a bit more... vengeful, this is excellent work as always. Love you and your work, and happy winter solstice.
@@Baron_Alice_Stares Yeah I get that. It's just that with the countess personality, I could see her as a Ventrue. Toreadors are not very "hands on" most of the time unless something they reeaaaaaally want catches their eye.
I love a happy ending. Hopefully the shedding of her former self in favor of who she truly was as a human (symbolized by the reveal of her true name, Evelyn) is a sign that the countess has changed for the better. I can see their future now. Her true name used as a disguise while her and the hunter fight monsters together, the Countess protecting her former kingdom in a way that she never could nor desired when she truly ruled over it. And if the witches and werewolves find out, the hunter launches into a passionate speech about how she has changed and the good that she has enacted. If this saves her, then they marry, and produce children. Many years later, the aged hunter and his still beautiful wife tell the story of how they met and how they lived to their children and grandchildren as they are gathered around the hearth of a much larger abode. When the hunter dies, the Countess retreats into hiding, watching over her scions as they take up the role of half-human, half-vampire hunters, perhaps forming a school at either their new ancestral home or the Blue Rose Castle, to train successive generations of hunters as defenders of the realm, guarding the kingdom against those who would take it for themselves. Quite a legacy, wouldn't you say, my lady? What started as an adversarial match made in hell thence evolved into a love match made in heaven, and could result in something far greater then the two of them alone. Also that kiss was pretty hot 😍. Love a good human-vampire romance, especially if the vampire is a woman.
Even I he is turned, this happy ending is possible. I love the great detail you put into that. You truly took everything into consideration and account. Best comment I've seen for months!

AHHHH, You do such an amazing and wonderful job playing as the countess and I can’t stop loving her as an entire character along with the rest of the characters from this series! It was still a fun series to listen to and be able to roleplay these wonderful chapters and it still holds up really well! I can safely say, that this is one of the many gifts you can give to us all on the Winter Solstice! 2019 has been a wild one.. but I feel like we’re in for another wild ride as the new year approaches. Hello it's 2am and I just marathon'd this whole after discovering it and you 2 1/2 hours ago. This is maybe the most nuanced asmr role play series I've ever heard and I loved everything about it. How conflicted I was about *evelyn* the whole time and just when I wanted to give in Shiloh would pop in my thoughts and remind me. How terrified I was of Seraphina from the get go and of course the actual world building was insane. It's been a ride and I would not have had my sleep schedule destroyed any other way
This would be a great ending for the hunter and countess, a follow up would be interesting though maybe explore more of the lore. And she waited ten years? So long for them both to be alone.
Time makes the heart grow fonder 🧡 she had to change back into a more human mind and lose most of her cruelty. Growth takes time. She could only hope the Hunter was still thinking of her, let alone still loved her, after everything she did to them and others. If she wouldn't have waited and made that change, the Hunter probably would not have killed her, but wouldn't have proceeded like here. There's a reason she didn't approach sooner when she had opportunities too :)

Needless to say, I absolutely loved it, from the first dance with the Countess, I was hooked. This video is a beautiful gift for the hopeless romantic in me and absolutely convinced me that maybe subscribing to ASMR channels isn’t such a silly idea. Keep writing Seraph, your work is amazing.

I felt tears creeping closer during the entire story. I may choose to see the true name, as yours. If it is so, it would be interesting to see a sign, dear Evelyn, who spellbinds with her words and her voice.
Recently relistened to the epilogue. I enjoyed this series when it was released. Part of me wonders if she will ever do a type of role reversal. Her being a huntress and us the vampire she hunts. The two enjoying the "game" they play, possibly trying to hide the feelings they are gaining for one another. Them both "conviniently" Unable to kill one another. Us possibly saving our hunter from a vampire who was about to kill them. Another series could involve a werewolf falling in love with a villager or hunter & visa versa. The wolf protecting their possible future mate from another of their pack.
Yaaay, happy ending~! This was the first video I had seen from Stephanie's channel and stopped after about 7 minutes when I realized it was the end of a long series. That was many months ago, back before the pandemic started, and I unintentionally lost track of it. But tonight I binge listened from start to end, and I have to say it was well worth the wait. Miss Quills, you are an exceptionally amazing writer and voice actor. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world~
im really hoping this isn't the end i'm praying just for a tiny bit more of these two before it ends they are too perfect to end so soon its like a cliffhanger for this couples love story like i have so many questions but very little answers but all things considered i have loved this entire series ( i can't believe i just noticed this video is 2 years old )
Personally I prefer the other ending because it completely went against what I was expecting to happen, I'm a sucker for dark/unhappy endings (also I could never really picture why the Hunter in-character would love the Countess.) But it's great that the people who like more traditional love stories get an ending for them as well, your writing and voice acting is so good!
Just discovered this story and I’m in tears on how beautiful it is. Also I can see how the hunter getting Evelyn pregnant could save her life from the angry mob, witches, and wolves. Also lowkey can see his younger brother have a thing going with the werewolf Scarlet… shit they might already have kids together after 10 years of hunting with the wolves. Would love to hear how the younger brother got with Scarlet when she was in heat hehe.
I should have been studying, but then I saw this gem. To throw my 2 cents into the comment section, dare I say, I am not disillusioned by the reality it is inherently monstrous and any charade of civility betrays its nature. Simply put, her warm smile belies the long fangs underneath. That being said, she *seems* earnestly broken, and unlike most fantastical monsters, is capable of reason. It really is an albeit darker shade of grey, and I'm not so stone-hearted to say death is absolute justice. Good story :>
To Vampire ASMR. I have lesson to your vampire roleplay. The title was The Castle of The Blue Roses, I actually enjoyed all fourteen chapters. I have lesson to them, at least ten times, so far. And also, I could picture myself. As the hunter. But not only that, I could picture as the Countess. Thank you, for that very thing.

I was kinda scared to watch the epilogue as I didn't think it was a happy ending for the countess but just a bit of behind the scenes, but after watching this I can finally rest easy :)

I love how our character basically gave the werewolves and the witches the finger became a hermit wait for her to return.
It was nice to see them get a happy ending after the shit they went through, separately and together.

God this was just perfection, such a beautiful ending, I know it's been 2 years and that this was the final chapter but I always hope there will be one more of maybe them in the future possibly married and having a kid (s)

No series has brought me closer to tears
Recently relistened to the epilogue. I enjoyed this series when it was released. Part of me wonders if she will ever do a type of role reversal. Her being a huntress and us the vampire she hunts. The two enjoying the "game" they play, possibly trying to hide the feelings they are gaining for one another. Them both "conviniently" Unable to kill one another. Us possibly saving our hunter from a vampire who was about to kill them.
Another series could involve a werewolf falling in love with a villager or hunter & visa versa. The wolf protecting their possible future mate from another of their pack.
Yaaay, happy ending~! This was the first video I had seen from Stephanie's channel and stopped after about 7 minutes when I realized it was the end of a long series. That was many months ago, back before the pandemic started, and I unintentionally lost track of it. But tonight I binge listened from start to end, and I have to say it was well worth the wait. Miss Quills, you are an exceptionally amazing writer and voice actor. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world~

im really hoping this isn't the end i'm praying just for a tiny bit more of these two before it ends they are too perfect to end so soon its like a cliffhanger for this couples love story like i have so many questions but very little answers but all things considered i have loved this entire series ( i can't believe i just noticed this video is 2 years old )

Personally I prefer the other ending because it completely went against what I was expecting to happen, I'm a sucker for dark/unhappy endings (also I could never really picture why the Hunter in-character would love the Countess.) But it's great that the people who like more traditional love stories get an ending for them as well, your writing and voice acting is so good!

Just discovered this story and I’m in tears on how beautiful it is.
Also I can see how the hunter getting Evelyn pregnant could save her life from the angry mob, witches, and wolves. Also lowkey can see his younger brother have a thing going with the werewolf Scarlet… shit they might already have kids together after 10 years of hunting with the wolves. Would love to hear how the younger brother got with Scarlet when she was in heat hehe.
I should have been studying, but then I saw this gem. To throw my 2 cents into the comment section, dare I say, I am not disillusioned by the reality it is inherently monstrous and any charade of civility betrays its nature. Simply put, her warm smile belies the long fangs underneath.
That being said, she *seems* earnestly broken, and unlike most fantastical monsters, is capable of reason. It really is an albeit darker shade of grey, and I'm not so stone-hearted to say death is absolute justice. Good story :>

To Vampire ASMR. I have lesson to your vampire roleplay. The title was The Castle of The Blue Roses, I actually enjoyed all fourteen chapters. I have lesson to them, at least ten times, so far. And also, I could picture myself. As the hunter. But not only that, I could picture as the Countess. Thank you, for that very thing.
And also, I love a very good vampire love story. But not only that, I also into female vampires as well.
