I have the 23 ultra , S23 and recently got the A54. Up against the S23 its very difficult to justify the 2x price. I think samsung might have gotten themselves into some problems making the A54 so good.
The A54 is so underrated. I think people who don't have the phone just see the world "exynos" and they assume slow and laggy, but this processor is pretty good. I noticed some hiccups when the phone was learning my usage patterns, but it's buttery smooth right now. It's obviously not as smooth as a flagship but it's definitely smooth enough for me to call this phone a great mid-range phone.
I'm pretty sure when the phone is new, it still needs to work out the kinks until it runs to its full potential. Most people just get suckered into buying the latest and greatest (most expensive) when 90% of people don't need a phone that is overpowered and would be fine with the a54.
Exynos had three main issues. 1. Lower Benchmarks than SD 2. Heating Issues 3. High Power Consumption. A54 Exynos 1380 has none of these issues. 1. Comparable to SD778G of the A73/A52S 500k+ Antutu Score 2. Heating issues fixed by latest patch by Samsung 3. More battery efficient than SD778G - 10+ hours of SOT is unheard of
I can tell you Exynos is really bad from my experience with Note 7 FE and S10. Battery drain so fast, so fast getting hot, performance and camera quality is not good as their Snapdragon counterpart. You can see comparison S21 Exynos vs Snapdragon version, the camera quality like night and day. I hate Samsung did this to consumer especially with their flagship consumer. I don't have issue they use it on mid range, but when it come to flagship I don't think I wanna buy S series with Exynos again. They promised every year the Exynos will be better, but in reality they don't deliver. Rumors say S24 will use Exynos 2400 in their phone which my country always have Exynos, not the Snapdragon one unlike US, China and S. Korea. If it's true, I won't upgrade my Z Flip3 with S series again, I will look to other brand like Apple or maybe chinese phone or just giving up and just use mid range.
Read my last comment, what an ignorant point of view about N7 and S10 - those days are gone. Exynos is much better and energy efficient than Snapdragon now, latest 5nm chip is 500k+ antutu which is close to SD778G and 590k+ of SD7G1 If you have not experience this phone personally then no need to blurt out opinions.@@dikkado
I have just got an a54 phone, i was playing xbox games pass on it last night with an xbox series x controller hooked up via bluetooth, was like playing on a dedicated hand held games machine, the phone has turned out a lot lot better than i expected
S21 Ultra is a better smartphone in every way, it will be updated another 3 years, currently it costs $500-$600, I prefer to pay that, have a high-end experience, resell it at $200-$300 in 2-3 years and buy an S23 / S24 Ultra which by then will also be around $500-$600.
I bought A54 2 weeks ago, I have the white model, and it looks exactly like the S23 in this video. The case I was sure was metallic 😂 and now from this video, I'm learning is not. The performance so far has been excellent, I don't need a super sensible phone to switch on every time I accidentally touch or throw it in my bag. The screen colors are amazing and that is my favorite selling point. Camera looks good, at night has very good performance...I would hVe preferred a bit more of warm colors for selfies but that's it
So me & the wife are in this situation right now 😂 She has the A54 & I, the S23+, sure there are differences here & there & the S23+ is faster & more responsive, but that is knitpicking, for casual users the difference ain'tthat far. I reckon that the A54 is a bang for the buck, great all around phone (hard pill to swallow indeed) but hey, if you have the budget the S23+ is great.. Nice comparison! cheers ☕️
I like having removable storage. My phone needs are modest, so I don't need the latest and greatest. I like having a good camera, and the A54 delivers on that front. I also don't much like the idea of spending over $1000 for a phone, when I spend about that much on a new computer every 6 years.
You speak for "everybody"? That's nice of you, but you didn't ask everybody. The Bell Rotary Dialer land line was enough for everybody too. That being the case, what would you need an A54 for?
I currently use the a13 5g. For a budget phone its pretty good. Only complaint is video isn't stable but it takes great pictures. When it's time to update, I'll grab the a54. I don't see the needto buy flagship phones. Sure they may be a tad better, but samsung is doing a great job making budget phones.
After spending ages to decide between the 2. I went for the s23. Amazing phone. Perfect size, So smooth and fast. Camera superb and unreal battery life. Very pleased
100 % agreed with this review. I owe both s23 ultra and a54. I was really surprised about the 1x photos of the main camera on a54 - it is as good as on s23 ultra. Other scenarios of course struggle, but I know that camera on a54 will fulfill the needs of 90% people. Second surprise was the speaker quality. The speaker on a54 is so close to s23 ultra, sounds really nice. And the third nice thing - the quality of the display, they really improved it and made it brighter on a54. I can tell for sure, that a54 is a great phone for its price. Moreover, it is now cheaper that the initial price (bought it recently for 350 usd instead of recommended 500 usd in Switzerland)
Shane, I can't thank you enough for the honest review and the comparison of the two phones. 🙏🏽🙏🏽I just ordered my A54 and honestly was wondering to return it back once I get it in two days. But since I watched your video, I'm happy to keep it once I get it in two days. 😊
just return it, you'd getter better value in pixel 7a, 7 or 6 pro, heck get a nothing phone 1, they are priced low as heck now and believe me I am using one, one of the best (got it for 320$ for the 12gb model lmaoo)or buy an 11r, you would be wayy happier
@KhaleeqAhmedNaveed yeah the s22 is fast. It has the snapdragon 8 gen 1. I do like it, but at the same time the a54 is a great phone especially for the price
I love the A54 and I've never used the S22, but the S22 has to be better than this. I know that it's from last year, but it's still a flagship and this isn't. A54 would be a great backup phone for you though or a secondary device if you have two phones.
same here . The price for A54 has dropped to 305 euros while S23 at 585 euros. Less than half. I chose S23. For the better, more bright screen, and that SoC which is second to none. It was my only chance to get a Snapdragon specially made for Samsung. Exynos is fine just fine and I'm sure that next year S24 might have a very competitive Exynos SoC but I'd rather have an S series in Europe with a Snapdragon inside. A top notch SoC. This is by far the most expensive phone I've bought so far. But for a SD 8 gen 2 for 585 euros I gave it a go. Another plus for me is the size and the weight. Samsung managed more in a smaller form factor. And that requires serious engineering. So yes S 23 is a flagship perhaps my last flagship. I won't be getting one again foe a very very long time!
These are only rumors of the S24 going back to exynos right? If it's been confirmed i need to buy an s23 asap and stop wasting my time waiting for the 24
@@jokast8861 SD card is not that beneficial since I have google drive, which I can even buy up to 2TB of storage for 10 dollars So I honestly can't understand why most people still miss SD slot till this day
@@jokast8861 It is slowly getting outdated, there's various online apps which takes the role of a SD card Mid range devices are mostly the ones carrying SD card slots and head phone jacks There's a few high end devices from others brands that uses headphone jacks but those are just the gaming phones I think In a few years time majority of the people will get used to not having an SD slot, since more people are getting on the train of buying a year old flagship than a brand new mid range phone
I always get the feeling that mid range phones from the same company are slightly worse not because they need to be, but because they're purposely made worse or slower to justify the enormous price difference. The S23 didn't need to cost that much but they need to artificially prove why it does
They are assuming that the ones that bought the s23 series are rich people that doesn't really care about price for that reason samsung I willing to make high prices
I bought the S23 Plus 3 days ago. I prefer always the S+ line.. And now after these 3 days, with heavy usage I am very satisfied with it . It is worth the money. Absolutely.
@@ShaneSymonds it is yes 👍 Screen size is always a + for me. The standard S23 is to small for me. And yeah,it cost ,"some" more money, but i wanted this S23 Plus now, instead of waiting. My previous device was the S21 Plus,so now i am always first with updates now👍
I have a A54 now, replacing my Samsung A5 which I have used for 6 yrs. The A5's battery just recently has begun to show its age. I use my phone all day for work and it's typically has 40% left at the end of day. I am completely satisfied with the A54. I suspect that Warren Buffett would chose the A54.
I'm literally in the same position you were in! My 2017 A5 is packing up and I'm debating the A54 vs the S23. What had your experience of the A54 been like so far, especially compared with the A5?
I've been using my wife's old phones after she upgraded. I'm still on a Note 8 currently. I've been looking into this A54 for finally getting myself a new phone. I don't care about social media and camera, but use the mp3 player more than anything. This looks to be a winner for me.
Thank you for this video. I have a note 10+ currently and have been kicking myself between the S23+ and A54. Ultimately I think the S23+ is the better buy. For me the wireless charging is a must, dex has been a very fun feature to use, and seeing some of your camera comparisons with the better image stabilization and zoom helped rationalize my decision. If the A54 had wireless charging for even $50 more, It would be very tough to pass up.
Yes I also really want wireless charging. I have never used it because my phone doesn't support it but I know that it would be semi-life changing. Right now I use Samsung Galaxy m21 but I start noticing lagging and camera is bad compared to other phones even my mother's honor p20 pro. I think that I will need to change when a55 or other midrange phone comes out and buy it few months after premiere. I really hope that they will add it in a55 or a56(If there will be convident rumors about wireless charging in a56 than I will stick to my m21 for one year longer
I bought my galaxy s9 almost 5 years ago and it still works like a charm. The battery is not as good as it was before, but still okayish. Will upgrade to S23 in a couple of months, as I'm a fan of S series now!
Definitely the S23+ over the A54. I moved from S9+ to the A54 and was disappointed with the unresponsive performance of the A54. The screen is lagging at the 1080 resolution for most tasks, not just in video games. Outside in the sun I could not swipe the A54 to even answer calls. Everything from battery life to screen responsiveness is so much better with the S23+. I am so happy that I was able to return the A54 and buy the S23+. These phones are not even close in performance for my basic use.
I have had the a54 for almost a month now. agree to all your points and would like to add, using it as a work phone along with my personal S22U. AMOLED screen is bright and pleasing but I immediately noticed a difference vs the S22U or even the note10+ am replacing the a54 with. the contrast is not as punshy, and colors feel shallower. Also, viewing angles are atrocious! the new wider aspect ratio is great for all apps, BUT youtube, as pinch to zoom now, crops even more into the video. the display IS better than a lot of phones out there, but the samsung flagships just have brilliant displays. I'm getting similar battery life, and with power save mode on, it easily gets to the 2 days mark. way better than my s22U. I made a routine to switch to 3g when connected to my home wifi as reception there is weak and noticed quite a bit of difference in battery life. nonetheless battery life is way more than sufficient. the haptics are an upgrade from older buzzing a-series but still doesn't feel as solid as a flagship. remarkably, the speaker is quite good, better than a s22u in lower frequency tones. finally performance was decent. I was expecting bad things from the exynos 1380, but 1000/2900 in geekbench6 was great, and UI is smooth. I got it as samsungs cheapest phone that gets monthly updates and quite like it so far. but I miss the spen a lot, also a slightly curved display on a boxy device is peak design IMHO. will probably go back to a used "note" phone for work when I replace this eventually. I kinda wish samsung supported spen on a54 tbh, not necessarily with a spen inside it, akin to the s21U.
@Oti el he is right regarding the screen the phone is amazing and performance decent but the viewing angle is not good specially with white background you can see yellow tint moving across the screen as you tilt the phone or moving it a little bit. But everything else is great
switching to 3g?? how do you do that? i got the a54 a few weeks ago and im loving it so far! tho i wanted a better camera but hey, you cant get everything at once, its the first time i bought a good phone for myself! the only problem is the wifi..idk why but it disconnects and reconnects for a few secs/mins..while the other devices in my home work perfectly, i rlly dont know what to do, if you could help with the wifi that would be awesome!
I'm watching this on A54 and I have a friend who have S23. We've both used our phones for over a month and let me you, the A54 is as good as the S23 Most of the time! And for that price, it's a sweet deal!
Bought the S23 a while ago because I needed to switch, was debating between a S22 and S23 but eventually went with the S23. definitely worth the money, very pleased with it
You did a great job going for the s23. It's better in every way but especially better because it comes with the snapdragon gen2 chipset even in Europe. The s22 in europe etc still came with exynos which is worse in every single way compared to it's Snapdragon variant. But even the Snapdragon variant s22 doesn't compare to the s23 models in terms of battery.
@@swapnilsalve1971 - Did you watch the video...? The A54 is far from ugly. It's not ugly at all. You can barely tell the difference between an a54 and a s23.
@@matttasby1186 i can definitely tell the difference just by seeing these 2 phones. If hold side by side, there's no human hand that won't recognise both differently.
I got the A34 and honestly there is nothing I feel I might be missing - the Mediatek is surprisingly fast, no hiccups whatsoever in the few months I've had it. The camera could be better (I still think my old S7 was the perfect shooter for me), and it could be slightly smaller and lighter, but otherwise it's a pocket laptop. Oh, and I constantly get more than 10 hours of screen on time regardless of what I do (no heavy gaming, though, just casual). I bought it for a little over EUR 250 and I'm sure the S23 isn't three times or four times better (for the price tag it carries).
As a person who has a low income A54 is my choice. not only it saves you money but it makes you awesome with it features haha. I went to the store earlier and learned about their pricing when it comes to installment which is pretty because you can have the phone you want even you don't have the cash to get it. I really preferred the s23+ because it's pretty damn awesome which I could put myself to burden😅 if I have the guts to get it for 24 months installment😂 but I don't want to put myself in a situation where I will always have to think about a monthly debt to pay. So I'll just go with A54 for now😊 Thanks Shane👍
For a student who has a specific budget to spend on a phone, the Galaxy A54 is more than worth it! It totally takes the win. Samsung did an incredible job this time! I'm getting one!!
It's not just about plugging it in. The charging port gets worn out over time and it's nice to have an alternative or back up. That's a selling point for me. Battery and camera as well. I'm going with the s23.
My husband needed a new phone and I managed to get him to switch over to android. I too have been looking for a new phone and I've been going back and forth over the flagship and the mid range. He went for an a54 and I've been wondering if the s23 plus was worth it after seeing his new phone. I love taking pictures but as an average user, I think the a54 is more than enough. My galaxy s9 plus is hanging on by a thread 😅. Thanks for helping me decide!
Got the S23 for free from Verizon. Interesting to hear that if I had to buy one of the two the cheaper one would have been a good choice. I upgraded from the s9 if you can believe that
I'm looking for a different phone after owning the A54 for little over a year. I have unexplainably bad connectivity issues, I have literally done everything except factory reset. My data provider has done everything on their end, too. I figured the model's at fault, because I've read a lot of articles that this is a common problem with the A54's. S23 or S23+ both look like good bigger brothers, so I might go with one of them. It's afterall, 1,5year old phone so the prices dropped a lot since its release. Thank you for this video!
I like the price and Specs of the A54 hands down, but ultimately chose the S23 due to size, build quality, and overall performance. I feel that I'll be able to get the 36 months of monthly payments out of the S23 and then some...time will tell. Where I may be wanting an upgrade from the A54 especially since the support from Samsung will be outdated by the time it's paid for with my carrier. I however DO NOT LIKE the loss of a micro SD slot and also feel like the price of the basic S23 is a touch steep all things considered. Hopefully Samsung brings back the sd slot in their flagships!
The A54 gets the same support window from Samsung. 4 OS updates and 5 years of security patches. It's 349 dollars on Amazon right now. Great value all things considered
Just bought A34, it cost me around USD 180 + 3 years old phone with no further update possibilities. I would say that was a steal deal. Also, that real life use comparison gets even more real when you compare A34 and A54.
Hey, good comparison. I would add that the screen is probably sharper. That is the PPI is higher on the a54 then the s23 plus because the screen is a bit smaller. So if you do a lot of reading on your phone like with a Kindle app which I do, the a54 is really the better choice at least for that. And also yeah save a ton of money
Bro i traded in my a52 5g for the a54 5g and total price with the galaxy bud lives i got too came to $300 after tax. Best phone i've owned to date. I used to run an s8 and an s6 edge at that.
I have iphone 12 pro and iphone 13 pro max. Both phones are not being used as of the day i got my A54. Its battery lasts all day and everything is faster on the a54
The only complain I have about the A54 is the lack of optical stabilization at FullHD 60 FPS. It's honestly the only drawback for me. Is this a hardware thing, or could an update add this feature?
The S phones even the S22 from last year are just more responsive and fluid in day to day use than the A-Series. I have an A51 and tried the A54 and S23 side by side in a store and I noticed the same micro lags in the A54 again even tho it's brand new. So I think I will go with a S22 or S23 as my next phone.
Trust me if I had money rn I would easily go for S23+ as it's my favourite one out of all phones. And as I can't buy it probably may get A54 as it's physically the same and difference of processor mainly 😅
You want a camera phone, S23 ultra, you want a stylish all around winner, s23 plus, you want a budget flagship that gives you the premium Samsung Experience for a fraction of the price a54, you want a small phone s23. Now all they have to do is include the chargers back in the box.
nothing special you mean let me tell you soemthing since your not a photographer. I had the A51 but now I own the S23 after a51 was drop S23 expert raw and astrophotography and yes Shoot raw. NOPE A54 55 will not have that S23 QHD+ screen and you went down Full HD display S23 you lost 50% less power for gaming I know your not a gamer but im just saying that speed of gliding through app and watching youtube is difference. S23 Dynamic almoled display 2x vs super amoled and yes it does, to tell the difference go to the restroom turn off the light and your see if your screen can handle deep black level. S23 snapdragon take better picture then Exynos yes that is truth but if you dont care its fine. S23 has h.265 HIGH quality Video support codec although A54 you say its nothing special, has h.264 low quality upload although yes I know it has h.265 but that one is just to save space. S23 nothing special eh? I look at the specs of your a54 it can record 120fps and 480fps at only 720p while S23 960fps at 1080p nothing special hmm? S23 or all the S20 phone support super steady while yours support only image stabilization, yes it make a big difference its like gimble without a gimble. S23 nightmode is special compare to the A54 yes it has it too but there is nothing more to do with the nightmode in the A54. ua-cam.com/video/MLwG8DKTVm4/v-deo.html
I realized this about budget/midrange phones by accident: Around 4 years ago my phone died and I got the Redmi Note 8t by accident in a weird trade but I used it for 4 years and it performed great! I now bought the Redmi note 11 pro only because of the camera, my daughter still uses the old one - they are great for an everyday user! I realized that I don't play games as when I was younger, I just use the basic features like 90% of the rest of people and for that such phones are amazing and U couldn't set them apart from flagships in basic scenarios. If U have a lot of free money then of course the S is better, but in other cases the mid option will be completely fine!
The one thing I want is now sadly no longer available. Where is the 3.5mm jack? I have Bluetooth headphones but nothing beats a 3.5mm jack in my opinion.
I work outside and on my phone a lot. Mapping. The only thing that kills a lot of budget phones for me is what the more expensive phones offer in terms of peak brightness. I can see this not really being an issue for a lot of people but it’s the ONLY thing golden back these phones for me. Don’t get me wrong 1000nits on a54 is a lot. But the s23 peak brightness of ~1600-1700 is absolutely nuts.
No more A series phone for me. I'm using now A52 5G and even after 5.1 it's lagging everywhere. From now on its better to get the flagship from last year than the actual A series. The flagship is a Flagship.
My daughter had an iPhone 12 that got busted. Put her on my plan, and bought the A54 direct from Samsung. She says she won't go back. Also bought my wife one, and just ordered one for me today. Gonna try to ween myself off of my S23 Ultra. I know the A won't be better, it just needs to be good. My daughter in law also has one, and they all love it
I have both phones. This video is spot on on differences. The s23+ has more vivid colors on its screen too. But I equally enjoy the A54 as well as it has solid value proposition.
thank you for the video. It would have been nice though if you would have kept one phone on the left and one on the right. It was very difficult for me to find out which one was which, because you changed it very often. Or a case for one of them would have done the trick too. Appart fro that - thanks for the infos
Looking to buy the a54. Currently using the a31. Have you experienced any lags with the animations when exiting apps or glitches with pulling the quick panel down? I want a smooth and fluid feeling phone so would you still recommend the a54?
No the performance spectacular no stutter at all .but the screen is not the best the viewing angle is not good specially with white background you can see yellow tint moving across the screen as you tilt the phone that's my only problem and it's not obvious I forgot about it
@@shadim2935 I have only seen a few mention the yellow tint. Not widespread or more mention would be made. The view from an angle would be the same for flagships also
i dont notice any ui lags and stutters, its very smooth and fluid. i do notice some issues when scrolling on google news feed and youtube, but none on facebook.
I bought the A54 a week ago using Samsung App on my OLD S10. Samsung offered me $180 trade-in for S10 and also gave $25 discount for spending over $250 on my first Samsung App purchase. A54 net cost was only $244, probably some tax to add, don't recall. Love the A54, cant beat price!!
The A54 is best samsung phone i got but it have a little problem the phone is amazing and performance decent but the viewing angle is not good specially with white background you can see yellow tint moving across the screen as you tilt the phone or moving it a little bit. But everything else is great
I agree. Had I needed to pay list price for the S23 I would have gone with the A54, however, as with a lot of folks who have T-Mobile, or other such carriers, often the price differential is much less, as it was in my case (with a trade-in). How you buy your phones can make the choice go either way.
And over night the S23 is free with a new two year plan at T-Mobile verses the A54 is still $99 with a new two year plan. Go figure? My only quandary is that I really wanted that SD slot option. Will I give it up for the souped up S23? TBD
Should we worry about the white screen of death? I've had it with my S20 and I've since been apprehensive about purchasing the S23. Kindly share your opinion 🙏
I was deciding between these two, bought s23. I had A series phones in past. I'm power user so A series felt like restriction. Also for me A series phones are good for like two years, then they get slower and choppy.
This is why Samsung never sells S Series phones well, because if customer get identical phone(for look at least) for 1/2 price then why buy S series (except Ultra) . Some stupid decision in the management
I think if S23 is good enough for you; you should go for A54 as it gives same features for half the price. I you really want that more refined phone and experience, you should just go for the S23 Ultra...
Why would they make similar looking phone 📱 if random guy notice me using s23 i bet that random person will get confused whether it's s23 or a54.... Samsung pissing me off
For me if you don't need the cameras on the S23, no need to spend all that extra cash any more. Midrange phone no all you need, in my options. Also. Love the channel ❤
Thanks for posting this! Would you please answer a technical question about this phone? I've had this A54 for about 3 months now and I just noticed that the Message+ Image Search icon no longer appears in the "Attach Media" option when I select (+) to add an image (i.e. - GIF, Video, MEMEs) from online. The only options now are "Glympse", "Places", "Replies", 'Gallery", and a couple of others. How do you retrieve that blue-colored Search button that was originally in there?
What's your choice between the S23 and A54? Thanks for watching!
Where is A54 super steady mode? I want to know.
I have the 23 ultra , S23 and recently got the A54. Up against the S23 its very difficult to justify the 2x price. I think samsung might have gotten themselves into some problems making the A54 so good.

The video awesome
@@FISHINNATE yeah this phone isn't good for gamers or professional photographers, but anyone else would be fine with it.
Exynos had three main issues.
1. Lower Benchmarks than SD
2. Heating Issues
3. High Power Consumption.
A54 Exynos 1380 has none of these issues.
1. Comparable to SD778G of the A73/A52S 500k+ Antutu Score
2. Heating issues fixed by latest patch by Samsung
Exynos is much better and energy efficient than Snapdragon now, latest 5nm chip is 500k+ antutu which is close to SD778G and 590k+ of SD7G1

With so many good mid range phones, it is becoming difficult to justify spending $1000 for a flagship phone.
I think those days of $1000+ flagships might be slowly coming to an end
Totally agree

Camera looks good, at night has very good performance...I would hVe preferred a bit more of warm colors for selfies but that's it
So me & the wife are in this situation right now 😂
She has the A54 & I, the S23+, sure there are differences here & there & the S23+ is faster & more responsive, but that is knitpicking, for casual users the difference ain'tthat far.
I also don't much like the idea of spending over $1000 for a phone, when I spend about that much on a new computer every 6 years.
the A54 is more than enough for everybody. We just overpay for the flex.
I've watched a few comparison videos for these phones and this is by far the best. No bias, just straight facts. Great job

Thank you for the speaker information, few review cover speaker but its part of my core experience.
Shane, I can't thank you enough for the honest review and the comparison of the two phones. 🙏🏽🙏🏽I just ordered my A54 and honestly was wondering to return it back once I get it in two days. But since I watched your video, I'm happy to keep it once I get it in two days. 😊

@PrimePixelUA-cam No. Not really. This is my first Samsung galaxy phone. I had sony Xperia in my past phone life:)
just return it, you'd getter better value in pixel 7a, 7 or 6 pro, heck get a nothing phone 1, they are priced low as heck now and believe me I am using one, one of the best (got it for 320$ for the 12gb model lmaoo)or buy an 11r, you would be wayy happier

@ruda8502 yes. I do like my 22 but I would like to have the 54A. Not bad for the price
A54 would be a great backup phone for you though or a secondary device if you have two phones.
pixel 7a or s21fe better
Where are you form ?
These are only rumors of the S24 going back to exynos right? If it's been confirmed i need to buy an s23 asap and stop wasting my time waiting for the 24

Which charger adapter is better for a54?
I really hope that they will add it in a55 or a56(If there will be convident rumors about wireless charging in a56 than I will stick to my m21 for one year longer
why? Stay with note 10 ..i have it still its a beast

The screen is top notch you're nitpicking
I am getting this phone tonight based on your experience. Thanks
@Oti el he is right regarding the screen the phone is amazing and performance decent but the viewing angle is not good specially with white background you can see yellow tint moving across the screen as you tilt the phone or moving it a little bit. But everything else is great

Galaxy A54 has expandable storage from what I understand, a huge plus for me.

I decided to get the A54, I retired my S10e for it. With the way I use my phone the A54 is more than enough and I love the big screen.
Nice review i will go for the A54 instead of the Redmi note 12 Pro

The S23 plus is definitely the one to choose if looking for 3X optical zoom.
I do enjoy my ability to use wireless changing. I use it every night to recharge. The absence of this on the A54 is an unfortunate let down
Having to plug something in is such a burden... Truly terrible...
It's not just about plugging it in. The charging port gets worn out over time and it's nice to have an alternative or back up. That's a selling point for me. Battery and camera as well. I'm going with the s23.

Thank you for this video!
thank you so much for this! i've been thinking about an S23 and an A54 and this definitely helped me with my decisions. great job, man!
What did you decide
I got my a54 for a very reasonable 300 bucks today. Cant wait to use it!
Or get the A54 and not make 36 payments
I was wondering if all A54 s overheat from time to time? Cause mine certainly does.

Just bought my a54 3 days ago. Everything looks smooth and fine for me. After having it fully charged, already 2 days with minimal use ,still at 60% .

I can see this not really being an issue for a lot of people but it’s the ONLY thing golden back these phones for me.
Don’t get me wrong 1000nits on a54 is a lot. But the s23 peak brightness of ~1600-1700 is absolutely nuts.

That cream color really looks classy and elegant OH MY
I bought the A54 a week ago using Samsung App on my OLD S10. Samsung offered me $180 trade-in for S10 and also gave $25 discount for spending over $250 on my first Samsung App purchase. A54 net cost was only $244, probably some tax to add, don't recall. Love the A54, cant beat price!!
Better than S10?
TBD
I really like the A series of samsung. Lack of a zoom lens is probably a only drawback.
In my experience I have not had one stutter using my A54, I think it depends on the phone carrier.
Ordered my A54 for $250. It's also an "enterprise edition". I guess for the price it will be a very good phone.
Great review thank you
Awesome video! I ordered the A54 for my mum and I hope she like's using it ❤
Seeing Old School Runescape on both homescreens made my heart happy ❤
SAMSUNG PLEASE BRING BACK THE SD CARD SLOT AND 3.5MM JACK PORT ON YOUR S SERIES COMPACT PHONES.
Very good and informative video
Thanks for detailed comparison and honest verdict
Samsung pissing me off
I have the samsung galaxy a31, I'm thinking of buying the a54, is it worth it in your opinion?
thanks, very helpful!
For me if you don't need the cameras on the S23, no need to spend all that extra cash any more. Midrange phone no all you need, in my options. Also. Love the channel ❤
Watching this on my new A54. Im glad that i have a new much better phone which can load geometry dash epic levels
