You may be surprised by the types of Montessori activities that you can create with what you have at home and will keep your toddler engaged.
We take a look at many Montessori activities for our 24-27 month old toddlers in this video, but keep in mind that the Montessori activities we discussed for 21-23 month olds, and even earlier, will still be applicable at this age! Our children are continuing to perfect those skills, while discovering new ones. Think of these Montessori play ideas as additional activities to add to your toy rotation, without displacing the Montessori activity ideas from previous videos.
Because I’m frequently asked, yes Stella is between 24 and 27 months in these clips. I find it is important to show the type of dexterity and ability that you may see from your child when introducing these activities!

What are great ideas! Smart mom, smart daughter!
Thank you 😊
I love the planet matching idea! So many good activities I’ve never thought of. Thanks for sharing, love your videos!
The planet matching still has a strong hold on us, to this day 😅 I'm so glad to hear these are helpful! Thank you!
Tremendously amazing ideas. 👏 I am not surprised that Stella prefers to work with materials instead of playing outside some days. 😉💖👍
Thank you! This is true, sometimes she is just too eager to work with her materials and doesn't want to "waste" a single minute 😅
So inspiring! Thank you so much for all the effort this must’ve taken! New subscriber ❤
Thank you!!!! I'm glad to hear these are helpful! 😊

Oh thank you! 😊 So glad you're here!!
After a long summer of pretend play and being outside, these are some of the activities we have been working on! I hope you find these ideas helpful 🥰 As always, I linked everything I could find in my Amazon storefront.
Can you share where you got that Hexagon shaped colored peg board?
Really nicely done!I have daughter same age as yours and I really enjoy your video and really appreciate all your hard work. I also want to see a video regarding the yoto player if possible for you..
Thank you, I appreciate it! And absolutely, I can address the yoto! Is there anything in particular you'd like to know about it or have questions on?
I would love to see how you incorporate yoto in your daily routine as well as some card recommendations :-)
Came to see what you had to say for 28m and on but you haven't posted in a year. Hope all is well! Miss your content!
You are amazing at this and could be a Montessori classroom teacher! (assuming you are not one already 😅)
Thank you 🥰 I had been fortunate to assist a lot in the Montessori school my mom directs and work alongside some amazing guides!
Hi love, still Mia i see😊 hope all is well, I have a question do you leave out the things set on your practical life shelf, does your daughter not mess with all
Of them all at once ? And also I find my daughter gets super frustrated if she cannot finish a task all the way through, she does not even want me to demonstrate how to do it, she gets super angry and throws a mini tantrum (she is 23 mths at the moment)… any suggestions for me?
Hi! The transition to school for Stella and back into the class for me has taken all the time I used to have for filming, but I do hope to be back! Yes, all of our activities that were out for the current rotation at this age were set up and available. Back when she was 1 and I had just introduced the Practical Life shelf, since things I'd have all say to, and others had started with just things like 2 cups on a tray if they needed water. I started with just 2 or 3 activities on that shelf so it wouldn't become chaos, and we worked on taking the work off the shelf, bringing it to her table, and bringing it back. So by the point that she is at in this video, she knew well enough how it works for me to be able to leave it all set up and ready to use on the shelf!
If your daughter is getting frustrated trying an activity, there's 2 options. 1 is understanding what aspect of it is frustrating and seeing how you can help her develop for it (ie if using a small pipette was too difficult, I'd switch to a larger one or even a baster to keep the same motions and idea but make it easier to master). Remember that we always isolate the difficulty, so there should only be 1 new/challenging aspect about an activity. 2 is just getting that activity out yourself and setting up next to her to do it. With no words, no invitation, nothing. As if you're sitting down to eat a snack and drink some coffee while she plays. She will notice, observe, and pick up what she needs. This is how we get kids interested in the "big kid works" in the class-letting them sit nearby as we do a presentation on multiplication for a kindergartener 🙂
I literally bought almost everything from your Montessori store list 🫠 thank you for these very simple explanations.
So glad to hear they're of help!!
This is great, but your Amazon store link does not work.
Wow thank you for letting me know! Not sure why that section isn't working, but this is the link to my whole storefront!

Where can one find that color sorting peg pie thing?
It's an older item that was passed down to us and I've unfortunately not been able to find something like it for sale! There's color posting activities for color gradation on Amazon and Etsy, but haven't seen something exactly like this

Love your content, but I won't teach about astronomy and planets just because The earth is flat. They lied us all. 😦
