This is a great tutorial. My husband & I were just saying we need cushions for our very uncomfortable dining room chairs. Your timing is great! Thank you. Love your videos.
Thank you. Every other video I watched did not really show me what I needed. I have tall outdoor metal chairs and needed a 15/15 u shaped seat. Am working on them now!
What a nice gift, Matt! Im sure your brother will be thrilled with the chair pads and the cute runner. I know I would!!! Great instructions and easy to follow. Tyfs!!!
Thank you! I watched your video and then was able to make a chair seat cushion and back cushion for my son's small plastic chair he is using during his virtual learning. This will help make the virtual learning during this pandemic a bit easier for him. Much appreciated for the video!!
I just made my first cushions with this video tutorial and had to leave a positive comment. This is the best tutorial out there for the task. Good job scrappy!
Just came across this video & now it will be my go to when I tackle these kinds of projects. Very easy to listen to & follow with easy step by step instructions. Since I live in a small town with not much shopping going on, but do have a Walmart, I should be good to go. Love the mattress cover idea for foam. Thanks
PERFECT! We always have big family dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas and I have to use folding chairs but I am going to make chair pads for this year. I plan to make fabric napkins and a quilted tablecloth too. I can't wait to get started on these. I love your channel!
Just a quick note to say thank you with your video I made chair cushions for my dinning room chairs. I'm a beginner sewer and it only took me a week to make 8 of them. Anyway THANK YOU .
I always love to watch your tutorials.........I need to make a chair cushion, because my mom can't find the fourth one for my chair . And happy birthday to your brother......
Hey there! This is awesome and so clear! Can you tell me what the seam allowance is when sewing them together with the batting...I am new so hope it’s not a stupid question!
Love your video, thanks for that, I was looking for an easy to understand tutorial. Regards, from Venezuela! I will start my project right away!!!.I'm suscribing!
I enjoyed your video, thank you. I have two questions. Why do people make the "tufts" in a pad, and can you use fiberfill or "fluff" to stuff the pillow.
I have a question: I thought you cut out 8 pieces of the foam (from the mattress pad), but it seems like you only used one in each of the 4 cushions. (I understand the 8 pieces of batting). Waiting to hear from you and thnks for making this so easy to follow!
I am in need for a chair cushion for my daughter's dorm room desk chair and this is the best video ever. Thank You.
Thank you for explaining it really good now I hope I can make them. I'm not really a sewer.
Very clear explanation! Thx for the help!!❤
LOVED THIS TUTORIAL.....VERY GOOD IN EXPLAINING EVERY STEP......GREAT JOB

Thank you so much😊😊
You explain this project so well and give some nice tips on purchases too. I’m sure your brother was happy with these.
I’m impressed! I’d still be married if my husband would have been able to sew like you!
Hahahahaha🤣🤣🤣
LOL OH SNAP!! Thanks for the laugh this morning!
I was rather nervous about re-covering 2 chair cushions. Huge success thanks to your how-to video! They look amazing!

xoxo lots of love :)
welcome friend!
Thank you so much, just what I needed! For my hubbies bony butt!
I enjoyed your video, thank you. I have two questions. Why do people make the "tufts" in a pad, and can you use fiberfill or "fluff" to stuff the pillow.
The tufting keeps the batting from moving around and yes you could use fiberfill to stuff them
@@ScrappyPatch thank you. I'll let you know how my rocker pads turn out.
I'm following you tutorial:) Hope mine turn out as good as yours.
What is the purpose of adding the quilt batting?
I have a question: I thought you cut out 8 pieces of the foam (from the mattress pad), but it seems like you only used one in each of the 4 cushions. (I understand the 8 pieces of batting). Waiting to hear from you and thnks for making this so easy to follow!
I used 2 pieces of foam and 2 pieces of batting per chair pad.
How about a video where you give a tour of your sewing room, talk about your machine that your friend gave you, and how you got interested in sewing?
I have been asked to do this before! Guess I better get on that! Thanks for the idea. Stay tuned
I am wondering if I missed the size of your seam allowance? 1/2” or 1/4”
Laurie Did you get an answer?
Can I skip the batting part. I don't quite understand the purpose of using the batting in addition to the foam pad. Thank you.
What is the spray base called?
Dritz Basting Spray
Are these seat pads washable ?
Yes, I would wash them in the bath tub and not a washing machine. They would be alright in the dryer though
What type of fabric is best for this, just cotton?
That’s what I used but you could use a thicker fabric like denim or twill if you want.
@@ScrappyPatch thanks for the quick reply, and great tutorial!
Thank you --
Thank you for watching!
Mmmmmmeaty. Hahahaha
Oh Mr. Wells!! How do I always know you would be the one to comment on things like that! That's why you're my Favorite. Hope all is well for you!!
