    I had just about given up on my X3 Live pedal board before finally seeing this video. Now I actually have a much better understanding on navigating through those god awful menus! You are without a doubt an excellent guitar player, really enjoyed your original demo at the end too. Thanks very much for posting this!

    Glenn, I too must say thanks. Line 6 puts these pedals and amps out there without very good tutorials. I was about to lose my hair just trying to setup a patch(preset). You helped me so much! Thanks!

    @extremevideopro hey Glen, would this be better than a GT-10 for composing ur own tone and really fiddling with the distortion setting?
    ....and does this have FX like chorus, flanger, harmonizer and all that, like the BOSS GT-10?

    Hi, I used your tones from these videos with a few alterations for a few gigs of my own and they sound amazing. I looked on your website as it said your other tones were on there and I downloaded the link. They seem to clip a lot however when I loaded them into my x3. I just wondered if you knew of a reason why this might be.

    Found your videos today. Metallica demo was the first. Your playing is amazing. Curious about the settings on your crate amp. I use a Line 6 Spider III 15, setting controls to mid-level with exception of gain, which is turned down low, and channel volume just under mid-level. No effects on. I was surprised that you use the on-board interface for patches instead of Gearbox. I got my Pod X3 live last week and have only used Gearbox so far. Any advantage to the on-board interface? Thanks.

    Hi there...firstly, well done on producing such high quality videos on the x3 live. I've been using a Digitech GNX4 for the past few years, but I've never really been that satisfied with it. How do you rate the X3 live compared to the GNX4? Have you ever tried a TC Electronic Nova System? If so I'd love to hear how you compare that to a X3 live. Cheers, David

  • @RobTiser
    @RobTiser 15 років тому

    I really like the way that you have a decent play with a backing track at the end of your videos, it helps to hear the sounds in context.
    Would it be possible for you to make some videos showing the very basics of programming guitar sounds. With the complex gear you're using (e.g. pod x3), I get a bit confused about all the parameters you're setting, and from a selfish point of view would like to understand more.

    Thanks for the hint. I read that the Morpheus Droptune has not the best soundquality in lower tuning (more than 2 steps), but the musical stuff I´m doing combines my normal dropped c tuning and for heavy rythm parts dropped b, so my idea is to use the morpheus to tune down my dropped c guitar. I hope this works better. Have you ever tried this?

    I forgot in my last post, my amp is at church, would the regular x3 work as well as the live? I would like to be able to take the unit home and work on creating patches and uploading some as well without the bulk of the x3 live, plus home recording too, I think the regular x3 would be better, but do you have to get the live version to play through an amp?

    Hi.
    I´m thinking about getting me the x3 live but I´m not quite sure. Very important for me would be to have rectiefied distortion sounds (in the sound range of 36 Crazyfists, Rammstein, Isis for example). Can you achieve these kind of sounds with the x3? Is it possible to put the Morpheus Droptune between guitar and x3? Is it possible to put other than line6plug in sounds to the pod?
    Would be very thankfull for infos!
    best wishes from Germany
