- This time I have filmed the Ford SuperVan 4 Electric with around the 2000HP during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It goes from 0-100 km/h under the two seconds via an all-wheel-drive system. The video shows you some insane launches, accelerations, burnouts & fly-by's! I hope you will enjoy this video.

I had the pleasure of a passenger ride in this mental machine on Monday when they brought it to the Dunton Technical Centre test track after Goodwood. Ex rally driver Manfred Stohl thashing it around the track. I don't think Amazon will be taking any as the charge range is about 35km. Top speed over 200mph (they don't know how fast it can actually go)

I saw Supervan 1 in 1971 at the Easter Monday meeting where half of the Formula 1 drivers drove in the Formula 2 race. That van sounded absolutely brilliant and was on 3 wheels in a few of the corners. I don't think I'll ever get so excited about electric cars, howver fast they are.
Those starting line guys seemed to think it was pretty exciting
@@xtremekewii -for them it must be like standing next to a jet fighter, but for me a huge part of the attraction of motor racing has always been the noise. I went to the Monaco Grand Prix a few times in the old days and being almost within touching distance of a grid full of .screaming V10s is an experience that is impossible to describe.
I love cars but too scared to drive them, but I think Supervan 4 is not my favorite.

The thing with Electric vehicles is that they make noise when they go fast, gas vehicles are noisy even just standing still if you push the clutch down. Who wants to be woken by their neighbor early in the morning or at night every time they come or go? Same reason the new Corvette was made. People mentioning that this van "only drives 35km in distance" seem to forget that batteries keep getting better and it would go way further in a consumer version that had something like 400hp+, which is way more than most cars out now. Technology is evolving, even Toyota wants to bring a car that exhausts water and drives for hundreds of miles and could power your house in case of emergencies.

A Transit body shell was mated to the chassis of a GT40 race car, complete with a 400 hp (298 kW) V8 engine. The Supervan was born, and it made its debut at a 1971 race meeting at Brands Hatch, just outside of London... GT40🤯

2000hp, that's more than the nevera at 1914hp, I mean, for a normal vehicle then wheelspin for days, but glad its a track focused van with more horsepower than the rimac.

What part of this is a van in any capacity? The back “cargo” area is cut out and replaced with a giant fin. Looks like a focus that took to much prednisone and is super bloated

I can guarantee you this does not have the eliminator motors it it. Those are barely 220kw of peak power. And won't support much over 160kw continuous. The phase bars on it doesn't support much power and will burn down with to much power through them.
This is van js likely using two dualstack ds-250-115-dom motors by cascadia motion. Same motors in the Ford CJ1400
