I enjoyed your style of review. Reviews I read and watched of the CB500X said that it got buzzy at higher RPMs. Was that your experience with the NX? Also, what did you mean by it lacks the physical mass to ride long distances at a time? How does a bike's mass help or hinder long distance riding?
Hi Robert, Thanks for your comments and feedback. The bike seamed to be smother than I remember the CB500X being. I did ride the CB500X a year or two ago but did not do a video on it. The new NX500 was smoother. I dont think I would like to do longer distances on the 500 CB or NX in comparison to my Transalp. I used the word Mass, but maybe should have said its road presence / physical size is not like the Transalp or bigger bikes. I think you would tire much quicker on longer journeys. Give the NX a test ride and let me know what you think of it? It may suit you, depends on your size, and what you whant the bike to do for you. Ride safely.
Hi kay, If you are talking about the light switch for the fog lights then its installed in the cockpit fairing section when the lighting is installed on your bike. Its an optional extra. If I've misunderstood your question please come back to me. As always ride safely.
Hi, Thanks for your review. I currently have an early Africa CRF1000 on which i fitted SW soft panniers.I am considering downsizing to a Transalp or the NX500 subject to test rides.I heard you say that you had easily damaged the Honda hard panniers and reverted to the Hepco ones shown at the end of this video. So I conclude that soft panniers are the Way to go. My question is have you found the Hepco panniers to be easy to move on and off and are they waterproof. All the best with your adventures. Mike
Hi Mike, I have found the Hepco and Becker X Travel C bow panniers work realy well. The are semy rigid and so hold there shape when not full of kit. Only down side with soft luggage is security. I think the luggage is good and also looks the part. I have been packing the panniers with my kit in a bin bag as it weigh nothing and gives you the extra piece of mind. But to date the panniers get damp on the outside but have not let any water in. Funny enough I have just fitted a a tactical water bottle bag to each pannier with the molly straps and a couple of zip ties (for security just in case they come adrift). Looking to carry water for my trip next week to Galoway Forest in Scotland. Vidio will follow. Ride safely.
Can't go wrong with the CB500 engine it's fuel efficent and a great comuter bike, it's not got anywhere near the power of the Transalp, great vid, Honda DCT for me though
Hi, Thanks for the feedback on the video and the bike. I do miss my DCT box. But the Transalp just fits what I want out of my bike at the moment, Keep watching and as always. Rid safely,
Hi Kevin, Thanks for your feed back. When I had my NC750X it was good on fuel also. The NC is a great bike on the road especially with the DCT box. Great bike 🏍 . Enjoy and ride safely.
Hi Anthony, Not too sure as I have not looked at the KTM 390 adventure in comparison to the Honda NX500. I will see if I can get a test ride on one to compare. Ride Safely.
Yes. My Transalp has tubed tyres. So some would see the tubles as an advantage. It all depends on what you want and consider as a positive or a negative. Every one has a different reason for their choice. Thanks for your fèedback. Ride safely.
Hi Gerard, Some riders have difficulty seeing or focusing on the smaller info on the previous models dashboard. Like the Camping Biker on youtube. Passing reading the number plate test does not mean you can see close up on the dashboard. Sorry you don't get it but being legal on the road with your eye site doesn't necessarily mean you are confident on reading the dashboard. Ride safely.

I used to frequent ‘brown town’. Not a bad little bike.
Yes its a good bike, I also, like you think it would be great around town.
Ride safely.
Where is the light switch on the fairing? I've never seen that.

My NC750x DCT sits at 90mph (where permitted) but the fuel economy suffers badly. Cruises all day at 75 and returns 75+ mpg.

Does this have even 25% of all the standard equipment that comes on the ktm 390 adventure for $7,400 ?🤔
Hi Anthony,

@@newburybiker8852 I mean the NX 500 do it have tubeless tires?
Hi,
Yes the NX500 has Tubles Tyres.
Ride safley.
If an "older rider" has difficulty reading the dash display, he or she shouldn´t be on the road. Ridiculous comment. Don´t give up your day job.
