Great throwback. My Note 8 is still running well today, even though it's a backup. I disagree about the headphone jack feeling like a relic of a bygone era though. I'd argue it's just as relevant today as ever. The IEM market has been crazy competitive for the last few years. That white one looks so slick too. I don't think we had that option in the US.
I have a fold 5, S22 Ultra, and S24... But the Note 9 was my 1st Samsung phone ive long since traded in... Years have gone by with me debating whether i should pick up a refurbished one since i loved it so much!
I disagree with your take on the headphone jack. Mobile phone companies had zero reason except greed for removing it. Many people still use wired earphones. Heck its part of the reason i still stick with my A72 till now. The headphone jack seriously needs to come back.
Thanks bro, and I totally respect your opinion. But honestly, let’s face it - sooner or later, we all have to move on from those wiry things. So yeah, losing the headphone jack doesn’t bother me as much anymore except only when I have to record my voice overs XD (just my take).
This was the ultimate phone for a long time. If only battery replacements for it were cheaper, I would have bought it even back in 2020-21, and would have made it last well into 2025 at least. But unfortunately, I don't think anyone wanting a cheap phone should buy one now. The ones still working would be heavily used and scratched. The battery replacement prices would shoot up now, because the parts are rare now. Cameras are fine actually, but you wouldn't get that feel of a good phone anymore. The phones still in good condition are being held on to dearly, and the ones being sold aren't in any good condition.
Still using my note 9, recently replaced back glass and battery, and i'm getting 2 days of battery life on normal usage, which is totally awesome. before the replacement I had like half a day of battery on the same usage, it was a 2020 battery unit.Amazing phone! Wish Samsung made a new phone with this exact design but with modern internals, how amazing would that be. Anyways, great video! Thumbs up!

Please help me. I have a Samsung Note 9, but the phone does not accept downloading the Smart Things application. What do you think is the solution, or is there no solution at all?
After 6 years with a 2017 Note 8, I upgraded to a brand new Note 9 in 2023. Simply put, nothing else on the market was a true upgrade. Samsung's later devices disposed of ALL of the following and yet are charging more, and that will NEVER be supported by me: • MicroSD Storage Expansion (which BTW was a life saver, keeping my 450GB+ of data intact when my Note 8 suddenly died on me) • Winter-friendly Iris Scanner that function even with gloves and a balaclava on • Multi-Shortcut Bixby Key (via Button Mapper app - Single Press to toggle Vibration Mode, Double Press to toggle Flashlight, Press and Hold to use Bixby Quick Commands) • 3.5mm Headphone Jack • Hole-free display • Always on pressure sensitive home button that works even in immersive full-screen apps or when the screen is off • SpO2 Sensor • MST Support in Samsung Pay that works almost ANYWHERE you can swipe a card • Notification LED light Keeping my Note 9 for the next 6+ years or until Samsung comes back to their senses. I'll just keep buying new Note 9s whenever one dies out.
Still using my 512gb note 9. A compelete beast. I'm still running Android 10 but I'm considering upgrading to one UI 6.1. Honestly the most annoying thing about the newer flagships is the notch.
after 6 years is the battery life of s-pen degrade with time? can we replace s-pen battery? Any screen burning issue after 6 years on notification pannel battery shadow or navigation bar screen burning??

I completely agree 👍 👏 with you when it comes to old flag ship phones, I've had my Note 20 ultra for about a year and 8 months as my daily driver and it's a fantastic phone, never gives me a reason to upgrade. Still going strong 💪
I use a custom ROM on my Note9 since it's just a backup device. If I were to make it my daily driver, I'd stick to the stock ROM for simplicity and peace of mind, avoiding unnecessary hassles.
Pov me useing it right now works great. Issues when useing search bar in settings it takes a good amount of time to load but other than that pretty good thought i do have the 6gb version so that might be why.
I know this is Technically a downgrade, but I was thinking of purchasing this from my 13 pro max because I miss my note 8 and I’m still stuck on the design of the note 8 and note 9
It's a problem with the display. If you can source the instruments and spare parts, you can look up the repair process and try it yourself. But you will have to change the display.
Watching your video on a Note 9 😎
That’s the spirit!
512gb storage expandable to 1tb , 8gb ram, 8 core processor. what is there not to like about that😊....
Monstrous of a phone?

This video makes me feel older. I remember when this first came out and I chose the note 8 because it wasn’t much different to me.
you kinda explain the qualities the bestest, loved it 💯
Appreciate the love my friend 🙏

Could i ask one question? Does this xrom for note 8 you made a video about it earlier does the s pen work?
Yes, it supports the S-Pen minus the Bluetooth features!
