Liz is so interesting, not to mention one of the best pop songwriters working today. A bit too humble me thinks. We want to know what your thinking, do not apologize for your long answers. Complex answers take a minute. We love you Lizzy!!! And great interview!
Damn fine lyricist “Hours of phrases I've memorized Thousands of lines on the page All of my notes in a desolate pile I haven't touched in an age And I can burn the evidence But I can't burn the pain And I can't forget it How does it feel (how does it feel) To be an expert in a dying field And how do you know (how do you know) It's over when you can't let go You can't let go, you can't stop, you can't rewind Love is learned over time 'Til you're an expert in a dying field Expert In A Dying Field, song
11:35 Oh it definitely does for me! _Change In The Weather_ especially is such a great song, and here's one of my "highlights" "...felt like every road was buried under snow so I thought 'better to forget the heat of the sunlight on my skin' I can feel it coming but I'm scared to let it in..."
That's one major reason why I still buy physical media from the artists that I like. Spotify is *terrible* at fairly compensating musicians for their music. (Actually, that's an understatement. They're worse than terrible.)
The album is most certainly been for me ‘a comfortable friend’! Thank you Liz and thank you host for the interview - really enjoyed it!

With such good music produced by The Beths, it's a real shame that companies like spotify end up with most of the revenue.
