Welcome to Angelina's world. Buckle up if you are going to take this ride down the rabbit hole of over 120 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 14 which is her current age. She has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance.
Another thing about Angelina is that she is completely in control of the music she sings. She picks the songs and arranges them herself the way she wants them to be done. In the "I put a spell on you" video, when she was 9 years old, she is seen handing some written notes to the band director. The were her "wishes" about changes she would like in the arrangement.
Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 14, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. She has covered Sinatra, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Queen, Miley Cirus, Patsy Cline, James Brown, Lana Del Rey, Norma Jones, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Screamin Jay Hawkins, and many more. You may have noticed that she wasn't wearing any shoes during her performance. The story of her bare feet is one of unbelievable commitment and caring. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling in the middle east (her grandmother is Iranian), and she came across a young girl close to her age who was working in the street offering to weigh people with a bathroom scale for money. She had no shoes on her feet and her feet were cracked and in pretty bad shape. They talked for a while and then the little girl mentioned how nice she thought Angelina's shoes were. Angelina asked her if she had any shoes and she said no, so Angelina gave her the shoes off her feet. Angelina asked her what her dreams were and the little girl said she wanted to be a doctor. Angelina told the little girl that she wanted to be a star and sing for the world. The little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day and asked Angelina to not forget about her. Angelina made a promise at that time that any time she sang in public she would sing barefoot to remember this little girl and bring awareness to the suffering of children around the world. To this day, over 7 years later, she has stayed true to that commitment. She remains a very grounded and humble young lady She has spent the past 7 years pouring out her soul and her talent to help people who are not as fortunate as her. She donated much, if not most of her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to children's charities and has performed in benefit concerts across the globe in support of disadvantaged children and other social causes (raising over 20 million Euros).

@@soullavee - I've heard a couple of other reactors saying the same thing about this one and some of the other ones on Norway's got talent. They seem to think it is due to the judges comments and the intro content being shown. Hope you can figure out how to get around it. Great reaction!

I love this reaction. Angelina fans almost take a sadistic delight in watching people react to her for the first time. Especially people who know what it is she's doing and who she's trying to emulate. If you're as addicted to this girl as I am, you have a wonderful journey ahead. Reviewing some of my favorite reactions and comments right now and of course Soul's reaction here stands out as one of the great classics. But your comment is equally as pertinent - i.e., "Angelina fans almost take a sadistic delight in watching people react to her for the first time." That is so true and if I don't cry when I see their reactions, I find myself laughing - as is the case here.

This girl child to teen age isTHE most amazing singer I have ever ever heard. She has an old jazzy amazing voice. She has a voice of the past. She does her own spin on all songs she sings snd and her arrangements , voice and more. She feels every note. She is just amazingly wonderful. Must listen

Soul LaVee, yes! There are two great versions by her of "Feeling Good." One is at an outdoors Norwegian festival. The other is an indoor stage performance. BOTH are fantastic! The outdoor video is PHENOMENAL! The indoor one, in my opinion, is ABSOLUTELY INTERPLANETARY! They were both performed when she was TEN YEARS OLD -- and sounding like THIRTY!

Exactly. She seems to be supercharged by an audience, throwing tripple creshendos and gobsmacking even the conductor of the orchestra she worked with for quite some time.
Exactly right. She seems to thrive in an audience setting. No fear, she goes into her own world and enjoys the moment. At the end of a song you often see that slight smile, a little curtsy making it seem that to her the unbelievable performance we just witnessed is not really that unbelievable to her. It is natural and who she is. Truly remarkable young girl growing into a truly remarkable young woman.
@@williamchristensen4655 I think "unbelievable" doesn't really fit well when talking about how an artist would perceive all that. I think she's putting a lot of preperation into her performances. If you rehearse it x-times until you are satisfied, the result on stage is predictable. Why would you think about your own performance as something unexpected or unbelievable then? Unexpected is only the effect on people, in my impression the fuzz they were making about it clearly was beyond her. Thus her using the english word "funny" in early interviews (unless that has some subtle other meaning translated into norwegian and she just got lost in translation).
@@yves2932 I certainly agree that she works hard and is prepared. I am sure she is confident that when she performs it will be up to her performance standards. What I believe that is truly unique about her is that she is so totally at ease in these huge settings and gets the audience in the palm of her hand after just a few words. It is her natural talent and voice, connected to the emotions and the lyrics that come together to make it so special. Some performers can practice for years and never achieve what she is able to do each and every time.
She was amazing at 7, and even better at 13! By the way, she sings barefoot because one day, she met a little girl who was barefoot and homeless. She right away gave the girl her shoes and then promised herself she would sing barefoot until all children have shoes. A very old soul indeed. You should now jump to her AGT Bohemian Rhapsody, her personal version of Freddie’s song. It’s incredible.

There are many child singing prodigies. However, Angelina Jordan is such a special one who actually improved every year until today. She was already unbelievable when 7. But as I followed her journey chronologically to today, I feel that she got better and better which is just jaw dropping. She never lost the magic in her tone and added so many layers, depths and controls over the years. I always feel that one day she will sing a 007 theme song.

Angelina began singing at age 1 1/2. In addition to being a fabulous voice, she is a fabulous human, known for her humbleness, and her humanity. That's one of the reasons she sings barefoot on stage from age 6 to now at 14. Others will fill you in on that many times I'm sure. She has been called, "a gift from the universe." That is so, so true. If you would like to be continually amazed and "gobsmacked" jump on board and react to her from age 6-14. "Incarnation of Billy Holliday".....Yes, that is exactly what it was. Angelina reported to an early interview that she was taught to sing jazz by her grandmother at age one-and-a-half. See is you can find a performance by Angelina at the American talk-show of The View and you will find out where she is coming from.
Angelina was just born this way. Her grandmother turned her onto classic jazz during her infancy. She started watching song artists on UA-cam on an IPad as a toddler. At six she began studio work at the music academie. This audition was the result of Angelina pleading with her mother constantly and Sara (in the wings) finally giving in to let her go on the nationally televised stage. Angelina is fearless and fully understands that her gift is for sharing with the world. She plays piano, flute, guitar, violin, studies dance, and is guided in graphic art by her artist grandmother. Angelina covers various music genres: country, classic rock, oldies pop, current pop, symphonic avant garde, classic jazz. So glad that she could warm your heart.
Daniel, I'm so glad you mentioned the incredible positive influence her grandma Mery Zamani has been. She has been tireless in her support of Angelina from day 1.
I see a lot of Mery's confidence, compassion, humility and talent expressed in everything that Angelina does. Like her protege, Mery was also a child prodigy publishing poetry and literature (under a nom de plume) from the age of 9 in her native Iran.
She is a world renowned poet, writer and artist, all of which has been encouraged and blossomed in Angelina.

Mosarz, as she is known artistically is not only Angelina's biggest fan and supporter, but one of the people I admire the most. Her love for Angelina is limitless, and her artistic talent only matched by her heart and soul.

Great reaction, that was the best reaction I have seen so far ,she is a rare special God sent gift to the world!!! , Angelina is at level of vocal artistry seldom if ever seen for a young singer , besides her other talents , She is Norway's youngest published author at around 9 to 10 years old, she plays , piano, violin, flute, and guitar . Angelina does her musical arrangements and has been often observed directing professional musicians playing for her as to what she wants in a song.
she is always in command when she performs in a very humble respectful manner to band members. Angelina is like no other I heave ever witnessed in her many abilities for one so young .she touches one right down to their heart and soul when she sings. :To bring you up to date on her background:

Angelina had over 500 million views of her singing videos before her performance on AGT The Champions now her views are in the billions . Angelina was well known all over the world except in America up until her AGT Champions , mini concert.
She sings bare foot since she was 6 years old to honor a bare foot orphan he met girl around her own age around 6 years old whom had no shoes and had scars on her feet, she weighing people on a bathroom scale to support her and her siblings. Fantastic reaction, but not unexpected for someone exposed to Angelina for the first time. She is one of a kind and has an unbelievable ability to connect to those of us fortunate to hear her sing. You got a sense of it at age 7. She is now 14 and has an unbelievably diverse library of over 100 songs that you can listen to. She has written 3 songs and has has had 2 others written specifically for her. Each and every performance is a masterpiece in its own right.I listen to them over and over again and always hear a nuance that is new to me. I believe right now she is the absolutely best vocalist in the world irrespective of age. I urge you to join us in this journey exploring the wonders of this young woman. Welcome to the wonderful world of Angelina Jordan, my favorite vocal artist, EVER & I'm in my 70's. I discovered her 3 years ago & haven't missed a day of listening to her music since then. She is like a drug & she calms me down. Thousands of others have said the same thing about the effect she has on them. As they say "you ain't seen nothing yet." As good as this is, it doesn't even make my top 50 favorites. Yes, she channels Billy Holiday, but she does the same thing to over 60 other former or current music legends. It's mind blowing. She doesn't copy an artist, she captures their essence, but always makes it her own version since she does all her own arrangements. She is the TOTAL PACKAGE. She is a singer, songwriter & she has the ability to totally reinterpret old classic songs from the past to make them relevant & new. She had 2 1/2 minutes to introduce herself to the American audience so she took a 6 minute song, Bohemian Rhapsody, stripped it down, changed it around & made a "new" song. BTW, members of Queen loved it & told her so. It was so different from the original, she copyrighted it & recorded a studio version on her independent label, Angelina Jordan, Inc. It is already being covered on YT by other singers. It certainly doesn't hurt that at 14 she has grown into a beautiful teenage girl that is over 6 feet tall & looks like a teenage Supermodel. Soul, I always come back to this once in a while. Absolutely one of my favorite reactions to Angelina. You knew, going in, she was going to be special but, in your wildest dreams you could never had expected this.
Going fast forward let's say she is on a journey to a place where other artists only dream they can reach. There are so many wonderful young singers out there right now but, in my opinion Angelina is on another level. Although their singing styles are 180 degrees apart from one another, Angelina and Dimash touch our hearts like no one else. And, part of it has to do with the fact both of them are beautiful human beings. Their enormous fan bases adore them not only because of their ability to touch our hearts through song but because they are two people who you want to root for, to thank them for who they are and what they do to and for people. And, many of us literally pray for them. I'd say that's extraordinary, don't you agree?

I’ve never heard a better interpreter of lyrics in my life. You’ll watch her in acoustic settings at ten or eleven years old and be startled and soothed simultaneously when you’re hit by just the first notes. Her voice is deep, resonant, warm, and slightly raspy all at the same time. Her innate musicality is evident in anything she sings. It’s like you said about how Billie Holiday would take you somewhere away from whatever concerns you had. Angelina has that magic in spades, whether she’s singing Billie Holiday, Adele, Elvis, Queen, Dinah Washington, Cole Porter, Frank (or Nancy) Sinatra-and many, many others. I envy that you’re just starting.

Angelina was introduced to Jazz when she was 1 1/2 years old. by the time she was 3 she was voraciously listening to the jazz greats on youtube as often as she could. at the age of 10-11 you can almost not distinguish her voice from Ella Fitzgerald, Dina Washington, and Etta James when she covers their classics.
