@@DrPal There are species of marine bacteria in several families, including Marinobacter, Oceanospiralles, Pseudomonas, and Alkanivorax, that can eat compounds from petroleum as part of their diet. Bacterial genera, namely, Gordonia, Brevibacterium, Aeromicrobium, Dietzia, Burkholderia, and Mycobacterium isolated from petroleum contaminated soil proved to be the potential organisms for hydrocarbon degradation. A species called Pseudomonas putida is widely used in oil spill decontamination or bioremediation....
Now my question is little creative, I dont know whether it would be feasible or not... It may be completley stupid or scientifically impossible but nonetheless I am asking this question >>>> If there are certain bacteria in nature that can breakdown crude oil/ petroleum compounds and degrade it, then is it not possible for us humans to artificially design a species of gut friendly/human health friendly absolutely harmless bacteria that can break down the harmful saturated and trans fat triglycerides in the food we eat in our guts ? If not done in the gut, then Is it not possible to treat our non-veg or veg food with this special absolutely harmless bacteria before we consume these foods so that these foods we eat becomes harmless to our body ?
Now I am thinking creatively a step further, is it not possible for us humans to artificially design a species of gut friendly/human health friendly absolutely harmless bacteria which can travel in our blood harmlessly that which can break down only the bulit up cholesterol plaque that causes atherosclerosis of the arteries in the heart and in other places of the human body ?
If science & technology has developed so much, then why cant we think in this direction ?
I hope you address my comment and provide your valuable opinion in your forthcoming video/s

He watches your videos regularly, after coming from school, his first video on UA-cam is your video. He is following all your videos strictly with great love for you and your advice, even though he is a foodie. We are staying in Singapore and my son nowadays hates junk foods and shares your videos with his friends. Please advise whether it's ok to take fasting at his age. Thanks to Dr.Pal for this revolution worldwide .

Start with a fiber rich salad , then eat other food there will Bo no cravings for sweets. I was always eating balanced diet on a 1700 calorie diet and have remained the same weight for 25 years but did not have much muscle mass even with 20% protein and good workout routines . Just increased my calories and protein slowly , now nicely toning up and still lean. So I think eating healthy is more important than counting calories unless you want to reduce. But keep up the good work doc 👍 always enjoy watching your videos

    Hi Dr.Pal
Your videos are very assuring( as you are a certified doctor)as it can be shared with family members who assume we might get ulcers in long periods of fasting.
But contradictory to what has been talked about intermittent fasting there is recent news saying there is an increased 91% risk of heart disease for people who follow intermittent fasting based on the recent study.
It would be very insightful if you could talk about the study and the confusion caused because of the same.

Research presented this week immediately drew doubt and critiques from experts by suggesting that eating within an eight-hour window or less was significantly associated with a 91% increased risk of dying from cardiovascular disease, when compared with eating over a 12- to 16-hour period.
An abstract of the preliminary research, which is not yet peer reviewed or published, was presented Monday in Chicago at a conference of the American Heart.

He suggested if possible then, move from night shifts to day shift to maintain circadian rhythm. But if someone really needs to work in the night then he suggested to take more fibre in your dinner which is around 7.30 - 8 PM. Because fibre keeps your gut full and it can help you avoid any kind of cravings in the late night.

From childhood my metabolism is fast & I am always hungry and dont put on weight. I tend to eat even after dinner if I see something I like no matter what time. How can I quantify my food & at the same time don’t eat so much? And my stomach feels full?

Hi Dr. Pal, recently I’ve came across about a study stated that, intermittent fasting would increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases according to American heart association. If you don’t mind i would like to know your opinion as a doctor. It will be useful for people who are practicing and also for people intended to start intermittent fasting. Thank you

Can you share the name of the video.
As would like to share it with family members who are against intermittent fasting thinking a long fasting period would cause ulcers and not good for us.
Not sure how to convince them with the new study release 😢

@user-eg4sq8dn1h hi, yaa it is i also believe it is bullshit because i have benefited from intermittent fasting also. But this study is very recent, but i believe it's for american people where their diet mostly comes from fast food, if not mistaken. Let see whether Dr. Pal make a video about it.

No, the control group and the test group were not just americans. And americans eating fast food doesn't apply anymore. India lives on swiggi and zomato , that is fast food too. Biryani that you order for lunch is fast food too@@mst69ful
