Just saw George and P-Funk last night, and my god, that was one of the most mind-blowing shows I've ever been to. George doesn't look a day over someone in their late 50's, and the 3rd gen lineup is fantastic. The Funk legacy will never die, and will forever be one of the greatest legacies in music.
A consummate professional and artist....get that groove and sound on the ONE in middle of KNEE DEEP‼️ .... PAY ATTENTION SUCKER ‼️... 🎷🎸🥁🎶 ... duly noted
yoo Jaden!
@@joycemarques3815 you watch the liminal space videos? 😁 if so, i'm glad that you're here watching p-funk at woodstock lol
@@JadenSalads i do! they are awesome, im here cuz i fell down a funkadelic rabbit hole after listening to the maggot brain guitar solo in repeat, wasnt expecting seeing u here lol
@@joycemarques3815 Maggot Brain is one of the best songs ever, hearing it live was crazy. Fun fact about the song, they had the guitarist at the time (Eddie Hazel) to play in the studio as if his mom just died in front of him.. then he played one of the best guitar solos of all time in one take.
I always come back to this video every couple weeks, I love the weird/hype energy that the band and crowd has lol.
I remember when baby girl was at the airport and needed to get in front of line to get to the Concert and mentioned she was Mr. Clinton Granddaughter. Much Respect!!!!

58:12 why people are naked?
@@SPC_NOAAWeatherRadioFan101 Your looking at a representation of a time where in the late 60's during Woodstock was the so-called Sexual Revolution. This was an idea that one didn't have to he secretive about being promiscuous, pursuing their dreams, going for their dreams, etc. One of the fashion expressions was to show more skin. For guys it was taking shirts off, piercing ears, with scruffy to long hairstyles instead of clean cut combed hair. For ladies, it was letting their hair down, showing more skin, wearing clothing that complemented their figure, not looking to a man for permission in anything, etc. This transformation carried throughout the 70's, which Parliament Funkadelic represented to the fullest. There's always topless girls and naked people at festivals like this. REMEMBER, this is Woodstock 1999. This was the 30th Anniversary of the 1969 Woostock Festival. This was a BIG DEAL. Read throughout the comments in this thread and you will find MANY accounts of folks being HERE & at the '69 Woodstock. This comment section is a treasure of experiences. In terms of being Naked at these events, There's NOTHING like letting it all hang out. Try it. REMEMBER, in the Words of Bootsy Collins, "EVERYTHING Good is Nasty but it Ain't no Fun till you PLAY With It".
Oh my I have always been a fan from Detroit when I was young...you was my first concert...I found you now with the Corona virus living in Houston TX....it was live...yessss indeed...thank you...Funkadelic for life...my children love you too...much love to you...from Rock..💝🌹👍
Thank You-s for this vibration-relation that is energy-exchange.

The most extraordinary music of our time. The pure connection of music with the "cosmos" life. And the 🌎 world...
I saw these guys perform in 1976 in St.Louis. They put on one of the most memorable, awesome, fantastic performances I've ever seen. If you never got a chance to witness their shows in person, I feel sorry for you, you missed out on greatness👍🏽
They played Indy last month. Swore I would get there come hell or high water but it didn't happen. Probably my last chance. :/
I miss the 70s ❤ I grew up with this music.
I feel like all these people are stuck in some weird place to where these people are not entertaining the way that they were.… Everybody’s waiting for this to happen, and nothing actually ever happens with the same boring boom boom boom, and art we wonderful table groovy I’m putting out, which really is not transferring at all to the performance
And again and again and again, it’s just not that entertaining or four energy. It’s actually quite boring. Give me a break with this crap.
No one gives a fuck about your fucking granddaughter. Motherfucker, good God.
26 years ago, I watched the Mothership land in Charlotte, NC.
It never left, it continues to lift. 🌞

Saw GC and PFunk upstate and will see him AGAIN next month in Queens. I took my lil kids to the Madison Square Garden MotherShip concert...they’re now in their 50s.
Absolutely, however, whether we are here are not, the music will never die. Facts 💯😎👍
How about in late 2023!!😊❤
To all the great band members to have passed on. Rest In Power & Possibility.
This was the first time I saw the P-Funk. Also, at the age of 15, it was the first time music MADE me dance.
"Don't go knockin butts" That is an experience, who ever filmed this was amazing
Thanks George! I'm all FUNKED up now!!
The funkiest band ever and Gary Snyder got off on one nation. Seen this band in the 70 best show ever. What all going on today with the conorvirus stay safe and enjoy this funk. Nice bro for posting the entire concert been looking for it. Keep it coming and for those who don’t like this must be dead. God bless P funk out.
RIP Gary Shider Not Snyder. Get The Man's Name Right.
@@bernardcuthbert2174 yeah... Snyder was a Buddhist beat writer. I'm sure he'd appreciate P-Funk though. 😜
Thank you very much for this video. It was glorious! P-FUNK 4 EVA!
what a jamming night I want to go on the mothership again thank guys
Take me to the mothership 1 mo time
One of the few class acts to play Woodstock '99.
Ok
the west stage was pretty much the real woodstock, while the east stage was the shitshow that we all know
I listen to “It ain’t over” at least once a week. It’s always good to see Diaperman Shider on stage. And that drummer is beast! 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
STAR CHILD SHIDER!!!!!!!
GC always been the best, awesome bands over the years. Greg Thomas best hype man. RIP Bernie Worrell and Queen Belita Woods. 💯
MR GEORGE CLINTON THANK YOU !!!
George has been keeping me up to speed on life on this planet for the many aliens that can grasp what energy really is
You stayed on acid since ‘99
Sure ya rite🔥🔥🔥🔥🥰🥰😆
They had some talented musicians..just a pure Funk party
I peeped Shock G! what a tragedy we lost him recently. He was one of the true descendants/heirs of the FUNK
Thanks so much for posting.
I can't stop riding with the Funk
When bootsy came in with the space bass it just added another layer to the funk
I've seen George 4 times here in Amsterdam Paradiso, 3,5 hour concerts, what a king and what a great band!
This is awesome and reminds me of a great PFunk story. At Jazz Fest 1997, and I don't remember how or where it came from, we had the hook up from Louie Babblin' Kabbabbie both on the fairgrounds, where we were hanging in the soundboard area, to UNO Pavilion, where we somehow hung out til way after the show was over--I think we ended up leaving backstage at 5am. I did also get to meet Isaac Hayes that night. Loved seeing him come out and do BOOTY. Took me back in time for sure! Thanks for this post!
Still. Rocking. The. Mothership. At. 60 perfect
I listened to them 45 years ago. No one does funk like George and the gang. RIP Bernie
Sir Bernie RIP
For the heck of it, I've been watching all of the Woodstock 99 acts in order, and I got to this one, which is inspired chaos. You wouldn't think that having a dozen or so artists on the stage at any given time would necessarily work, but they had such a chill vibe, you can't help but get into it.
I better not be the only one showing the great great grandkids
George is too strong, pure energy💪💪
This one's alright. The Summer Stage 1996 was magic ! Bootsy, Bernie and the Brides mesmerizing.
I was there and we had a ball! James Brown was the first performer. The entire festival was very diverse featuring Erykah Badu, The Roots, P Funk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc...I didn't witness anything but a great time, people helping each other out. We tore down a piece of the wall (which is stored in my garage today). I have plenty of memorabilia from this festival. The only negative thing is the vendors overcharged for everything ($5 for snickers bar, $5 slice of pizza, $6 for bottled water)...later on people overturned their tents. Overall, the music was great and I'll never forget it! Wished I could've went to Woodstock 1969 but I was just a few months old.
Ms Holliday you're lucky.
Awesome! If you ever wanna get rid any pieces of that wall....
Actually, the worst thing that happened were the numerous sexual assaults.
Photos of the wall plz

This is one of the best funk shows ever...Old school folks can still jam...The horns tore it up! And the brother in the diaper.........baby boomers know the real deal
Penny did you watch Parliament- Funkadelic in Houston 1976 probably not!? Because that was leaps and bounds better than this concert...
Man, I love a band that has horns and use them right. Tear the roof off you muthas!
Penny Proud that was the Late Great Garry Shider! ....and omg you are the real deal as well!
@@Elizabethitsthebig1 It's really hard to compare shows because funk continues to evolve. George slowed the groove down in the latter years and it worked. The substance has not been altered even with the introduction of new musicians and diversity in their lineup. I have been with P-Funk since 1974 and each show is not the same. I've attended all of the concerts in DC from 1975 until. I love the evolution of the band and George's ability to keep the funk loose but contained. His musicians and singers make it so. Each era is a new experience. You can't go backwards.
Sure ya rite 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
