芋掘り観光を始めたのが川越らしいですが、川越も農地が減ってきて川越産のさつまいもって少ないですよね。埼玉県内の近隣市町産だったり、千葉の方がさつまいもの出荷量は多いのではないでしょうか。さつまいもを使った加工品は鹿児島のものが多かったりです。
小学生の頃、菓子屋横丁で飴を練ってのばーして、作っているところを見学したことがありました。
