I read the three book biography by Sachs and can honestly say i have never been so moved by the story of someones life as i have of the raw and real story of Lonnie Frisbee and how much he loved God in all his hurts and imperfections, his love of God was incredibly moving, you could feel it in the pages of the book. By the end of the third book, on the last page I was moved to tears with gratitude and awe for this man's life and his testimony.I myself am Catholic, and pray for revival in my church as well. I and my sisters, mother, were saved after hearing the gospel at Angelus Temple, got baptized in water and the Holy Spirit, 1978 and 1979. It was a glorious time, many Mexican Americans in what had been mostly White. We just loved Jesus. My youngest sister worked with youth, many gang members. We still love Jesus even though the Church and Pastors changed. My little sister still works for 4 Square Missions. Though some have fallen away and we struggle, Jesus is fairhful.
Celine, I was raised in a 4 Square church pastored by Ken and Bobby Wold in a little town in Colorado. I am a missionary in South America. My grandfather (born in Mexico) always prayed for his children, grandchildren and future decendants to love and serve the Lord whether it be in the day to day work place, Pastorate, or missions to the world. What a legacy to have had praying grand parents and parents! There is no distance in prayer! “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” James 5:16

Great testimony. I've read all 3 books Roger Sachs had put together as Lonnie's ghost writer. An incredible life Lonnie had and every hungry believer should read these books. The books are humble, messy, descriptive, revealing, raw and true. I just thank God for Lonnie's incredible life and the spiritual legacy he left in this broken world.

Both my wife and I are recovering from fluish head colds but we are standing firm in faith for healing. So during this time I've been browsing through UA-cam videos hence your video came up. I'll need to read these books again. I believe they are launching a new film in 2023 about the Jesus movement. Not sure how much of a mention Lonnie will get. Anyway he has his eternal rewards that matter where he is. My mother's side of the family had and still have relatives in South Africa Durban and Cape Town. Their family names were Raath and Cliff. This made me smile because I know very well how a Baptist, particularly a fundamental Baptist would react to Lonnie and this movement. I loved this movie and have been researching Lonnie and the movement since. Lonnie was chosen by God as he followed The Great Commission!

I grew up in an Apostolic Pentecostal church in the late ‘60s and 70’s and there was a wave of revival across California and the US. God is doing it again. Pray for revival, 😊pray for renewal, pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit to spread like wild fire across the world. Come Lord Jesus, come for the harvest is ripe.

I am reading the books about Lonnie's life, and he definitely wasn't perfect, but he allowed himself to be used by God. I appreciate how honest Lonnie was in his books, kind of like the way that David was honest with God! Not perfect, but honest. A man who was after, and understood God's heart. Hello dear Brother from The Silicon Valley California. So wonderful to hear of your experience with Lonnie Frisbee many years ago and were baptized in the Holy Spirit. I also was 14 in 1969 I was a Jewish boy and Bar Mitzvah I was invited to a Bible study with a close friend also Jewish. I loved the experience and went back several times where I was also taught about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in fact spoke in tongues and later prophesy and the other manifestations . Similar to you now 56 years later I still speak in tongues often and daily . I had spent 3 years as a missionary from16 to 19/20 yrs old . It has been extremely difficult to find any church similar to the ministry I was involved with which had over 100000 members all around the globe all speaking in tongues as you and your family did. Now due to various situations I wasn't a part of that ministry is almost gone. Some say that it was some sort of a cult. In any case I was very blessed not only because of the Holy Spirit but also the love and sense of a family we experienced in this ministry. I am very blessed to hear about you and what is going on in your country with God and thank you for sharing about Lonnie and his ministry as many so called Christians have been belittling him and putting him down because if the movie so many years after his early passing. I find my self embarrassed for my short sighted breatheren who forget that the are saved by the same Grace that saved You me Lonnie and everyone. I was so blessed to go to Vineyard Yorbalinda (formally Calvary Yorbalinda) and wow! The Lord used him in such miraculous ways. Even though he was only 5' 6" tall he appeared alot taller.
I’ve heard these things a thousand times over. I was born again in Durban 1977. What is never ever spoken about is where does it all go wrong and why do these moves always corrupt? Over the years I understand that the Lord has shown me why! One of the reasons is that all of Christianity, in its multiplicity of expressions, has leaven mixed into it. And eventually becomes everything that Jesus said his people were not to be. We are to come out from her and ‘go unto HIM, outside the camp, bearing his reproach!’….. and it is there that you will find others whom also have an ear to hear, and follow Him.
Have you read about John G Lake in SA, he spent years there (I believe early 1900's), this guy was a stunner, like Lonnie....once in a generation type....his ministry was mostly divine healing (yes, apostolic)..a book called (amongst others) "Dump Truck Brigade"
I sat under Hobart Freeman's teaching. He was known for the Glory Barn in Central Indiana. Faced many lies and persecution against him; being called a cult these days by the youth. He was one of the BEST BIBLICAL BIBLE TEACHERS of the 19th century. Taught divine healing and mentioned John G. Lake many times in his sermons. These were great men of God.

However the teaching was real and praise God I still speak in tongues 54 years later at 68.my journey was not easy but I dread thinking what may have happened had I not been found by the Lord. I recently went to look for a church and. I have been going to a few around here...but its so sad that they push Holy Spirit out!!!! Its dead inside no LIFE! I will continue to pray about this..maybe the home churches like in Acts🤗🤗
