GHANA NURSE SELLS POPULAR STREET FOOD | LIVING IN GHANA | GHANAIAN FOOD
Street food is ready-to-eat food or drinks sold by a hawker, or vendor, in a street or at other public places, such as markets or fairs. It is often sold from a portable food booth, food cart, or food truck and is meant for immediate consumption.
As you drive through Accra - Ghana, you can’t help but notice the many colourful street food stalls by the sides of the road, selling various street foods. This is one way Ghanaians express their love for food and the many different tastes and flavours.
Gary and Beans happens to be one of the most popular street foods available in Ghana. It’s made up of deep fried sweet plantains, black eyed beans and palm oil.
In this video, Grace who works as a nurse and sells beans on her days off will take us through her day and show us how she prepares this delicious meal.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what its like to live in Ghana, from the Ghanaian food, to the Ghanaian culture, to the Ghanaian lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and help inspire to explore Ghana.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
Oh how I miss Ghana, she is the typical Ghanaian women, humble and hardworking. May God bless her.
Indeed x
Who tells you the typical Ghanaian women these days are humble and hardworking! These days, they are slay queens who want to make it big and quick.
@@kwaananse6424 Perhaps the ones you have encountered are like that. Two things can be true at the same time.
@@JB4C89 I agree completely.👨🏭

Dear nurse, you're doing amazing 👏
Well done Ms Ama
She's truly hardworking. Hoping to learn from her. I'm a teacher in Ghana too and I am planning to sell Tuo zaafi and probably beans in the long run. I've learnt a lot from Grace's hustle.
Having a side hustle to a job is much needed
This lady is hard working, she will go far in both her jobs. Thanks Jasmine 😊, thanks to the nurse for sharing and inspiring others
❤️
Not a big fan of beans but i love plantain. African women in general are such hard workers you can only tip your hat to them. I love those kinds of videos. Keep them coming.
Ambitious nurse 🧑⚕️ my respect to her big time
Always been a hardworking lady from nursing school.keep it up Grace.God bless you.
Big up to all the nurses and their side hustle. The food looks delicious 😋, and it's good to see that she is making an income and feeding her community from cooking. Nice vlog 👌
Jasmine it goes without saying you have once again brought us a great and interesting vlog. Well done.
❤️
I appreciate that video. It shows Grace's pride and hard work.
As a Nurse myself I know how hard nursing is and how demanding and intense the work is even though you're enjoy helping people. That's why I respect and commend Grace's commitment and dedication to her mission.
I'm an Afro descendant sister in the diaspora. I'm suggesting that Ms. Amma and others can open up a gofund me account for Grace to help her with the business. She's a young lady who's not lazy. She's doing everything right to make it in life. She's very humble. SOS. SOS. Please let help change her life around.
Can we bring the other UA-camrs along with us and everyone else watching the interview or video to ease Nurse Grace's burden. She's not complaining at all but a mother and as Nurse also I can tell you that it's not easy.
Can someone tell Wode Maya about Nurse Grace's ministry please 🙏
I would like to be part of that.
May God bless Ms Amma for that great video. May God continue to bless Grace and bring her more opportunities.
Thank you.
You can support her via mobile money on +233546028698 MTN. All money transfer options will let u send directly to mobile money 🤗❤️
Sell home made/grow home products
Saves as from noodles poor man
THERE'S NO NEED FOR ANY GO-FUND-ME. She's a Nurse, she has a profession and if she thinks the nursing is not paying her well and she wants to take up her grandma's business, nothing wrong. "Gobe" business is very lucrative and not for poor people, okay. GRACE IS IN A GOOD BUSINESS so allow her to flow. Even if she saves just GHC20 a day, she can buy a plot of land in a year but some of you think she's a nurse so she has lowered herself, NO! She should rather cook it well and pray for more patronage.
Respect from USA, Grace does very well and has a beautiful smile
That's my girl Grace the most hard working ,a nurse and a student as well
God bless her. its good to see a young lady working so hard
Hi Audrey, have you heard of the Save Soil movement before? It's relevant for us all today, and it could help with water and food security also😊🌿
Well done to Grace amazing and good example of a hard working woman!!!

Another heartwarming video about regular folks doing remarkable things to cope in a challenging economic environment. Thanks for shedding light on this hardworking nurse. I am sure that we will all do what we can to support her. Once again well done Jasmine.
Rose if you invest in a pressure cooker when cooking any kind of dried beans it would take no.more than 25 mins to cook providing the beans are soaked overnight or for at least two hours. Good luck with your great business. Thanks toJjasmine many more people ate aware of your business.
It’s very good idea with the pressure cooker but the kind of aroma enhancing taste wouldn’t be the same my dear!
Beans Soak in water between 6hours or 2 hours 👍✨💯
They grow on soil3-4months soaks on raining season
This how SOME of GHANAIAN women should do and STOP the complaining that working with the Government or companies that the pay is not sufficient. They should look at GRACE she works for the Government and at the same time she and her , sister and mother cook this beans and planting and on her off days.
GRACE KEEP IT UP .
THANKS
Go find your senses. The government should pay properly. I'm sure if she had a choice she would rather not be doing this. Nursing is not easy and then to be doing this on top
@@snsn7251, Even Doctors work two jobs. So if she is a Nurse and at the same time is helping her mother at on her off days what. Is wrong with that. Are you a GHANAIAN? In we help parents at home I don't know about you
We call those beans , black eye peas in the USA. A lot of foods in Ghana are the same foods cooked here in the USA. I am sure the Ancestors carried the traditional when our folks from the continent came here many years ago Such a beautiful culture we came from.
Am sharing this to all my Gob3 boys 🇬🇭🔥🔥

I enjoyed this video. So much work went into preparing that food for sale at the stall. I know someone who sells fruit salad on the road and wakes up at 3:00am to start peeling and chopping fruit.

Really nice your activities. Thanks
Thank you for another great video. I love your content Jasmine, so real, so authentic and reminds me of the Ghana from my childhood. It’s brilliant that our country has developed so much and you can now live the glitzy life of the West if you have the means but it’s also inspiring to see how the ordinary person lives. I made a small mobile money donation to Grave’s number. Hope she receives it,
So lovely, ❤️❤️
Notification gangs representing and a happy Sunday to everyone watching 🤗❤️🙏🏻

Gud content girl ❤hi miss nurse
I believe Ahanta is a mix of Fanti ( Takoradi Fanti) and Nzema. Reason you can understand a few. Love you and your channel Jasmine, plan to look for this spot on my next visit to Ghana ♥️, love to see young Ghanaians trying everything possible to make a living since our leaders are so corrupt!!!!
Grace should leave the location here, its better and easier for us.
Takoradi is actually an Ahanta land the Fantis moved there because of the harbour. That's why the fanti sounds different from the one spoken in the central region.
Wow 🤩
❤️❤️
Great 👍
Eii sister Aisha n food 🤣..... After she enjoy finish she will tell us subscribe la🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wowww glad to meet my “language partner”🤗... I’m an Ahanta too and I can speak it 💯🤗🤗

I like your vids like this Jasmine. Looks like you found your niche
Wonderful video. Where exactly is Grace’s stand? I want to go get some of her beans!
This is the BEST breakfast in GH by far..oh I miss the banbaro, red-red, pepe, garri and plantain..its up there with Waakye for top morning food.
Our women are the most hardworking people you can meet. It is the slay queens who don't want to use their hands to work.
I would love to try that 😋🤗
Its divine
Thanks for posting this vid.
Grace may be young but with her mortar and pestle, she's got the physical prowess and determination of a West African Auntie. LOL 😆🤣
Yes o
