Thanks so much for putting this video together Jay! I've been looking for a way to run this exact type of set-up to minimize all of my gear and your video shows me that it can work!
I about sold my Bose because i couldnt stand the heavy mids "canny" sound from my acoustic straight into Bose, but once i used the insert mode with my Dream 65 it cleaned up my acoustic nicely and took the canny sound away :) Thank you!
Can you use a similar splitter with female XLRs to connect TC Helicon Play Acoustic pedal Vocal Out and Guitar Out XLRs into one male XLR into channel 1 in the S1 Pro+?
Since you can use the speakers as an audio interface does that also mean that you can plug the usb connection to an ipad and use guitar fx apps to process the sounds?
Thanks for such great informative video Jay! However, once you hocked up the Helix, and 10R for the loop and drums, I didn't see an option to plug in a mic as you've used all the channels at this point. Please confirm. Thanks!
Great video thank you very much. I’m a vocalist and acoustic guitarist. Thinking about upgrading from the S1 Pro. I’ve just order the TC Electronic Ditto Jam X2 and I also have a TC Electronic Polytune. Can you please explain how I go about hooking the pedals up. FYI I’ve just bought a patch cable also. Thanks you very much Jay.
Curious about running a roland SPD X pro through this? I do a fair bit of looping so you answered all my guitar set up questions but I don't use a drum machine with my loops. I usually put my percussion in vocally and with my SPDX PRO. How does this speaker handle drum pads like the spd x or similar pads? Lots of lows from the fat kicks but still need those highs for the samples and the stereo loops from the pad?
So if you use the wireless mic and guitar.. does that make the channel 1 and 2 still available to use? So it can be all wireless but your pedalboards power supply still Needs to be plugged in to an outlet? and my DigiTech pedal still would need a plug in?
That would work but, in that case, your guitar would be tethered to the multi-fx pedal with a 1/4" cable and not be wireless. If you wanted your guitar to be completely wireless, you would then use the insert function.
Okay - thanks JayLeonard. But in a performance setting, I would have my multi-FX in front of me with two cables running back to channel 1 or 2 since I'd want to step on footswitches for different presets. I'd still set the channel for FRFR with the transmitter coming out of the multi-FX? Love the playing with looper and the Helix btw.
A bit confused. If you are using the input function to run wires to devices on the floor, then it's not really a wireless setup (except for the guitar), right? To avoid floor wires, one would need to run the insert to, say, a rack rig that is controlled wirelessly from a floor remote controller. If you have a regular pedalboard with stomp boxes, you would still need to run the input send/return cables to the pedalboard, yes?
Cool option, and wonderfully presented - thank you. But I‘m wondering what the point of wireless is when you have the pedalboard wired to the speaker anyhow, since you will no doubt need to stay close to your pedalboard in order to change settings, etc. So why not just go straight into the pedalboard, and then into the speaker? Or am I missing the point?
You may want your pedalboard near you but, when you are not actively switching presets, you have the freedom to move around the stage and in the audience with wireless freedom. Also, it would be useful for musicians that only one run sound and just want some extra effects in their signal. I also like the wireless thing for soundcheck. You can move your gear and app anywhere you want and do your soundcheck by yourself to see how you sound all over the room.
@@JayLeonardJ Thank you very much for this helpful response. You sold me on the soundcheck idea, for sure! Even though I also sing (so need to soundcheck that signal, too), being able to soundcheck the guitar without cables would be very cool indeed. EDIT: More fool me: Just watched Part 1 of this 2-part series, and learned from you about the mic channel also having wireless capabilities. Now that makes it interesting, indeed… I wonder if any of the ToneMatch presets (for guitar and for vocals) include compression?
You can plug your pedalboard directly to the tower and use it normally :) If you need a guitar amp sim, you would need a dedicated unit for that though.
Huh????? Xvive costs$200 for transmitter and receiver ! Then good luck keeping them charged and knowing if they are charged and carrying around a little charging cord and remembering where they are and hoping they don't turn themselves off in transit... Vs $150 transmitter and receiver always charged always secured with speaker great company to stand behind product etc So, you want to explain what's so expensive about them...... 🤪
That looping jam at the End was FIRE 🔥 🔥 🔥!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Came for advice on settings on the Bose S1 Pro, stayed for your supercalifragilisticexpialidocious playing. Wonderful job!!!!!
Really appreciate it!
Wow, this thing has extra superpowers I didn't even know about. Thanks!!

Glad it was helpful!

I've always been kind of down on Bose, but I have to admit producing something like this with an insert circuit is pretty cool. Thanks for the demo!
ooh yes expander setting was on and had issues..thanks very much

Jay I would love a video on getting a vocal effects pedal to work with the wireless mic transmitter. Can't get mine to work with tc helicon.
Second this!
I am in same boat, used Y splitter cable with XLR male and XLR female adaptors, nasty noise!
Outstanding video!!!
Thats brilliant.
Super talent 🎉
Excellent how to presentation Jay
Thanks!
Can I transmit from "another" wirless system like the Mooer wireless guitar which has a built in wireless transmiter in the guitar.
Whole different world... Appreciate it
Well done and helpful. I have original but the loop effect with helix is really flexible. Now considering this product. Thanks for review.
Yeah, that function is a definitely awesome for us guitar players!
Thank you for the great video
Can you please share with us the Y connector details and link 🙌🏻
I believe the ones I use are made by Hosa :)
Since you can use the speakers as an audio interface does that also mean that you can plug the usb connection to an ipad and use guitar fx apps to process the sounds?
Fantastic! 🎉
Thanks!
Yes!!
Great video. Exactly what I am looking to do. Is it possible to add a microphone to this set up using the 3rd input?
What’s is that looper
Would I be able to use a Roland Gr 55? For my main gigs I use a Godin Multiac grand concert SA
Looked and looked and found one for electric guitars. Can you plug In a small amp like THR30 like this
Will the effects work if you had two speakers. You don't need pedals for each speaker right?
Really cool advise! The one question: will mic be wirelessly working on Ch1 in this scheme?
Yup, the mic will be active on whatever channel you first arm the wireless bug too.
Does this work witha vocalprocessor/loopstation?
How to make BOSS VE-8 wireless vocal?
Thanks for such great informative video Jay! However, once you hocked up the Helix, and 10R for the loop and drums, I didn't see an option to plug in a mic as you've used all the channels at this point. Please confirm. Thanks!
Hey Jay . Awesome as always man!
Would this work with other modellers too? Guitar effects units like the TC Plethora X5 ?
Thank you for the video 👍🏽🙏🏽🇦🇺🇦🇺
Our pleasure!
What about vocal processor wireless?
Great video thank you very much.

How u connect a multy effect unit with 2 xlr out for stereo as there is only one

Nice! Just wondering why not plug the transmitter paired to channel 1 or 2 into the output of a multi-FX unit and connect your guitar into the input?
That would work but, in that case, your guitar would be tethered to the multi-fx pedal with a 1/4" cable and not be wireless. If you wanted your guitar to be completely wireless, you would then use the insert function.

Yup, the idea is that - although rig is wired up - your guitar doesn't have to be.
I have a pedalboard with stomp pedals.Would it work with the y cable going into the first pedal, then out from the last?
Yes :)
@ Thangyaverimuch Jay
Thank you for the wonderful tips . Can you please send me the Y connector link ( I want to use it with boss GT-1 and boss S1pro +) many thanks
Lots of companies make them. I believe the one I use in the video is a Hosa one.
amigo, cuál es el nivel máximo de ganancia que puedo colocar para poder usar dos micrófonos sin que se me acoplen? 60% de volumen por canal?

i just have a question tho, like can i plug 3 instruments and a mic with it , I mean the mic and guitar wirelessly and two others with the cable?
Unfortunately not. Unless you use an external mixer. Only 3 inputs at one time on this box.
Other people said u cannot here the vocals
Cool tip
Thanks!
Can it handle a bass guitar?
Depends on the usage, but if you want ultra lows at a high volume, you may want to go a for something in the L1 series if you want to go super deep
Shame they didn't come with 2 xlr out for the guitar instead of using a y cable
It needs software monitoring update for using apps for effects…
What happens if I don't have the money to buy the wireless system, I have my pedalboard and that's it? and the speaker
Please help me I don't know what to do I want to sound good I have a mg 80 boss
You can plug your pedalboard directly to the tower and use it normally :) If you need a guitar amp sim, you would need a dedicated unit for that though.
i
Wireless adapter costs a fortune extra ridiculous
