I just got the S1 pro plus and I’m loving it! Your video about the S1 Pro Plus was very influential in my decision to finally purchase the unit and very helpful in getting me familiar with all of the great benefits and applications available in this great unit. I am a novice when it comes to tech devices but your video was very informative and helpful in getting me more comfortable with this system. P.S. I had a surprise 75th birthday party last Saturday and my sons, daughter and my grandsons all performed using the S1 ProPlus wirelessly and the sound was amazing even with the large group that we had.
I play acoustic guitar and really enjoy the great tone & possibilities that come right out of the box with this PA and my greatest enjoyment has been being able to play wirelessly.
Thank you!
Congratulations and Happy Birthday!
As I've commenting in our chats Aaron - the sound quality of the Plus with my e965 condenser mic and my Mayson M9 acoustic (Anthem) is absolutely stellar
You'd have to go into the studio to beat the sound coming out of the speakers
I'm not sure I really need a play acoustic anymore TBH - maybe for the odd harmony line , but I could do without it
Thanks!
Thanks Doug!
Excellent video Aaron.......
Thanks for the tips. I am using the effects loop on the S1 Pro+ and love it! I am going to order one of those usb to power cables!
You’re welcome. It’s great that it can power pedals too!
@@aaronshortmusic I realized my Acoustic Play is 12v but looks like USB C will power 12v and has a similar cable adapter. Do you have any experience with the S1 Pro + and USB C 12v? It would be great to power both the TC and the beat buddy without having to lug around the Bluetti!
@@JonOsborneOfficial They also sell a 12v and an adapter to reverse the polarity for the TC Play Acoustic. Make sure you contact them and order the correct cable!
@@aaronshortmusic thanks! Do you happen to have a link for the Acoustic Play cable/adapter for them? I looked on their Amazon store and didn’t see the correct one or a way to contact them. 🥲

Hi Aaron, Thanks for this. I had the same question and saw this, and was the reason I made the purchase. What I do, is use backing tracks on my ipad via bluetooth, I sing using the wireless mic, and, I play my fender telecaster through my Boss GT1 guitar effects processor using the wireless device as well. All of that works great, thanks to your help. I have 2 S1 Pros (S1Pro & S1Pro +) What im wondering is there a way to run my ipad in stereo to both S1's, also, use my guitar processor in stereo the same way through both s1's. (trying to achieve that bigger stereo sound), using both s1's and continue to use the wireless devices, without creating the same mono sigmal on both (Not true stereo)
I think you would need a mixer. You can run the iPad in stereo over Bluetooth but that requires two S1 Pro+ units.
I’ve been doing exactly this with a ditto X2. Works great for busking or playing small quietish venues. I’ve had trouble using the mic channel though - a huge amount of hiss is present and I can’t quite figure out why.
I wonder if I could do this with a boss rc600
The built in effects loop is a very cool feature Bose S1 Pro+.
Yes they really nailed it there.
So I got myself a Ditto looper and am trying to figure out how to use it with my S1 Pro+. I have the insert cable. What I’m uncertain about is this: with my guitar connected via the wireless transmitter, how do I play the guitar through the looper? Does the signal go into the S1 via the wireless transmitter and then out the looper and back in to the S1 via the insert cable? I am reluctant to try this without confirming with someone who knows how this works and I came across your video! I’m hesitant to try it for fear of blowing up my S1!! :) :)
For acoustic guitar busking with backing tracks would you get a Bose s1 pro plus or the Ev everse 8? Thanks a bunch Aaron
The Pro Plus and the wireless transmitters!
Hey Aaron, love all your reviews! I recall that you have used a TC play acoustic. I also use one with the switch 3 and a passive 3 channel mic mixer and sum it all to only take up 1 channel on the S1pro plus. Do you think the wireless guitar transmitter would work using the effect loop cable and still sum up to 1 channel? Sorry for the wordiness,,,thanks again for you great reviews!! John
Thanks! I used the Play Acoustic for years before switching to the VL3x. I have thought about using a Play Acoustic with the S1 Pro Plus wireless but the problem is that it uses XLR outputs and you have the mic and guitar going in. If you are only using it for guitar then it should be possible to patch it in but I am not sure how it would work if you want to sing and play through it. I would have to experiment with it. I would love to do that but for now I am just using a looper for the guitar only.
@aaronshortmusic are you using a RC600 looper
Thanks for the reply. Now im wondering if I can livestream via the usb c port via my camera or phone for that matter. Since I am recording using cell, I believe I can stream, so the audio is synced to the video, but the audio is what the pro+ mixes. In other words, not recording the room sound, but the actual mixed sound the pro+ creates. Does sound possible? I saw another youtuber was doing something like that on his camera, but hasnt responded on what would need to be done to make that happen. Any suggestions? Thanks again
Yes it will record the direct audio to your phone.
Thanks for that. I did find out I can use the phone, any phone with otg capabilities. Im waiting on the cable now. Thank you

Hei Aaron. I have a Yamaha AG06 mixer. Could I plug it in as an insert on channel 1 or 3 to het a bit more EQ on the vocals? I do have a wireless unit on channel1.
TIA, Ian
You can insert anything if it has the right connections.
hi if you get two of the same unit with 4 microphones, are the microphones sounds coming out evenly through the 2 units or just 2 per side?
2 per side
Thanks for the video! Do you think there is an insert effect cable for USB for iPhone outhere? That'd be cool! I tried to find but failed.
You would probably need some kind of interface with analog inputs and outputs.
Thank you for your video. Can you tell me please, is it possible to do same things with mics vocal processor???
It should be possible but I haven’t tried it yet.
Hi Aaron! Do you have a sense of how much extra drain on the S1Pro+ battery occurs when using the USB to power a pedal or two? I was thinking of powering my looper just as you have, but then also powering a StompMix 4, which I would connect to the aux input of the S1Pro+. The two pedals combined would be drawing somewhere near 800ma of power.
I’m not sure but I feel like as long as the S1 Pro+ is fully charged then it should last long enough to get through any gig. You would need to test it with the specific pedals you want to use to be 100%.
I want to use my battery powered Yamaha THR30 into an S1 pro but I guess that’s not going to be good. Can you use a pedal board like a Boss GT100.
I think you could do but yes a GT100 or similar should work well.
What Guitar and pick up system are you using in this video? It actually sounds very good.
I was thinking that while editing the video. It’s the Martin HDC-28e with an Anthem SL recorded direct to the computer. It’s excellent isn’t it?!
@@aaronshortmusic Yes, it really popped out at me when I heard it. Very balanced and natural sounding. Good job
@@thereyougowithbryan6014 This is why the Anthem is the system I recommend to 99% of players. The proof is right there…
Yep, I love my anthem too
Do you think the wireless system work with the new Boss Katana Go plugged into the S1 Pro + ?
I am not sure without trying it... If it worked then it would be a SUPER portable system.
How does a usb with music files work with the s1 pro plus? Do I have to go thru the app?
You can just steam them from a device using Bluetooth or you can plug an audio player into the auxiliary input. I am not sure about playing files from USB as I have not tried it.
Is the TRS cable included with the Bose ?
No.
Do you prefer the Bose plus over the Everse 8????
They are both different sizes and have different features. I own and use both! If you tell me specifically what you need I can help advise better.
@@aaronshortmusicI get called a lot during the week for small backyard gigs, two piece band Guitar and accordion, 2 vocals we both sing, and if they request a bass player is no problem I just tell him to bring his own bass amp. Its just a pain in the butt to carry speakers, a mixer, power extension cables, takes a while to set up and sound check. I just want to show up plug and play, and of course sound good. Having to show up early to set up is time away from the family, and the worst is packing up after the gig.
Hey ! Could you please share the model of the usb power cable that you use ?
Thanks a lot
I use this one but make sure it is compatible with the pedal that you are using it with - amzn.to/3RWGuED
I would have assumed I would plug my guitar into the tuner which is the first on chain on my pedalboard and then the wireless input into the loop pedal which is last in my chain.
You can do that but then the guitar will still be plugged in with a cable. You would use a TRS cable to patch the pedalboard into the effects loop to be truly wireless.
@aaronshortmusic thanks man, I am very interested in buying this system, I injured myself recently and I need lighter equipment!! Also subscribed, thanks for the great info and reply.
@@jamiecallaghan8467 It’s the lightest system so I would try it out. Feel better!
I found the bose to be very mid heavy but if you put a Dream 65 or some preamp between it you can get rid of that canny sound. Just found out tonight. Listen to my "you got a friend in me" without the preamp then listen to "what a friend we have in Jesus" with the preamp and you will hear the difference.
Yes you have to use an amp sim pedal with the Bose.
@@aaronshortmusic thanks for video btw it helped a lot because i thought id have to buy two sets of wireless
Why they not put 2 xlr out
Most amps have a single XLR out.
Dont listen to these UA-camrs there not honest
You are making yourself look silly.
@@aaronshortmusic Thank you for the video it was awesome!!
