    I hear you. You said you were working an extra job banking the extra cash. Good for you. I fell into a side catering job this summer. Thought I'd try it out and well the pay was insane. We made $350 every weekend for an 8 hour shift. Going out of town. 6 hours total in the van and 8 hours of work. Van time goes fast just b.s.ing with people. I planned on looking for gold most of summer with my nox800 and got pans in my spare time but figured the gold will still be there I'm gonna work the side job and stack like mad. Next summer I hope to get out a bit and find that gold but DEFINATELY going to keep that side job and "bank" as much extra as possible. Good luck man it's tough working so much but gotta take care of the family. I'm single dad 2 boys and think I have a good balance worked out. The 3.5 days I have them I don't work so no daycare it's just us to have fun. The other days I work crazy hours to get my jobs done and be able to cater 1 night a week. Not much free time for me but dang it's nice not being scared of bills or life

    Can't go wrong with anything from the Germania Mint in terms of quality. Beautiful products across the board. The silver bullion bars are quite reasonably priced. If silver is worth $200+/oz, then $26-27/oz is a steal. We should all thank JPM for suppressing the price as long as they have. JPM is the #1 HERO of the stacking community. Our friend, not our enemy.

    They do look small but very compact and compressed with all there bars but you can definitely feel the weight in all of them especially the Kilo ... On first visual sight these bars can deceive one of how small they can appear to be until they actually pick it up

    I started stacking around the last week of this past December. I bought 2 ounces and now I have 65. I look at it as a savings account. Lets be honest, its easy to go to the ATM for an impulse withdrawal. We have all been there. I just wish the premiums were not so high because you are forced to hold for several years to recoup your investment. This will only instill temperance. Why didn't I start buying in the 90's when gold was 250.00 and 1 oz of silver would buy you a hamburger.

    This is the worst time in America to decide where to put savings money. I am fortunate in that I had and still have some in mutual funds that are tied to the stock market - Over the last 5 years they have out-performed gold and silver and savings accounts. But, how much longer can they rise before the bubble bursts? I also believe real estate is in the same kind of bubble. Sure wish I had bought Bitcoin when it was $100, but didn't. I have trust issues with Crypto. Yes, the inflation tied bonds pay better, but don't you have to pay tax on the capital gains from them? And if you do then that would lower the take home amount. There is no capital gains tax on gold and silver, it has kept pace with inflation, but any profits are generally small..... So yeah, where to put money??
    Full stack of silver video?? WOW! Thanks in advance for the 10 hours you are going to take to get all that set up! It will for sure be a great video! I would do one too, but would have to retrieve it all from the different locations, and find the table space to lay it out, etc.etc.

    • @BigstackMcgee
      @BigstackMcgee  2 роки тому

      All good points silverhair.. yes, you have to pay federal tax on I-bond earnings, but no state tax.

    Love the Germania Mint bars! I haven't looked into I series bonds but will check them out after hearing you talk about them. With silver basically 28-30 range per ounce once you figure in premiums, will you continue to accumulate silver in this range? I'm curious because a bunch of older stackers say silver will go back 18 and ounce but I'm not so sure that will happen.

    • @BigstackMcgee
      @BigstackMcgee  2 роки тому +2

      Your guess is as good as mine, Silver Struck. I'm of the opinion that while silver will always capitulate. I plan on still accumulating a bit each month, buying at dips.

    • @champstar9669
      @champstar9669 2 роки тому +1

      $18? Who knows? But it is easy to sit back and wait for a price like that if you already have 5,000+oz put away. But if you're late to the party or just getting started, then you have to get as much as you can whenever the price is reasonable to have some sort of insurance. $26-27oz is not the end of the world.

      Hello Deepak - not in my opinion. The best thing about bars is that there is no numismatic value to them (usually) If there ends up with some sort of residue or unsightly toning, you can always clean in up and no worse for the wear.

    As far as gov't bonds, the whole point is safety. But the majority of gov't entities in the world are drowning in debt. There could easily be defaults -- even in the U.S. So the safety element might not be there. Pretend it's your neighbor instead of the U.S. gov't. If they owed trillions in debt with no hope of ever catching up...would you really lend them MORE money? If they promised you 30% interest for argument sake, what good is such an empty promise if they can never repay the money. To each, their own. But gov't bonds at a low interest rate combined with a high risk of default do not have a favorable risk/reward scenario. I wish there were alternatives to metals. But crypto is a NSA/CIA creation with no value expect as a spy tool. Real estate and stocks could collapse. Bonds are iffy at best. It's a tough dilemma. The gov't does not have to "shut down" to default on it's debt.
