    I'm enjoying the videos. May I suggest you buy a few mics to wear to improve the audio?

      Thank you for the suggestion 😊. We did actually get mics soon after this video so keep watching. Let us know if you have questions, we’d be happy to help!

      Thank you. The clecos were great. I wouldn’t want to do the job without them.

    I really appreciate the info yellow given and I got to say the spray foam in the hat channel is a nice little touch.

    Hello. I wanted to know how long did it take for you to do the roof raise?

    • @artsyreclaimed6821
      @artsyreclaimed6821  3 роки тому

      Raising the roof only took a few hours. The sheet metal took 2 days.

    On the top of the buss where flashing lights are has anyone converted them from flashing lights to a extra set of head lights on the front and back?

    On one of the other bus build channels, they used some big double suction cups to handle the sheet metal panels.First time I'd seen anyone use them. We used to use those to lift up floor panels in the computer room back in the day.

      That’s a great idea. I’ve used them for removing mirrors in the past. Never thought to use them for installing the sheets. Would have made life easier. Thanks for comment!!!

    I may have missed why you went with smaller sheets between what looks like 2 hat channels?Was it that they are easier to handle? I am going to be doing sheet metal alone most likely and was going to ratchet strap them up, but just seems like a lot of work. Smaller sheets might make more sense for me as well. My only worry is more sheets means more holes, seams and rivets, or places for leaks. Loving your vids and our bus is exactly the same as yours to a T. Makes it nice to see what you had to do so we can plan.

      We made the sheet metal to match the factory sizes. Our goal was to make it look like it was original to the bus. That said, the sheets we about as much as I could handle on my own. Not only weight but just handling in general.
      If you have any questions, let me know. I’d be happy to share more.

    Hey, I like the channel. I have a 2004 intermational RE300. I'm getting ready to do a roof raise. Wait for my metal order to be ready. What kind of sikoflex did you use? About, how much did you need? Thanks for sharing your build. 😃

      Thank you! I believe we used silaflex 252 and used around 10 tubes on our build. We have a cost and materials for roof raise video that goes into more detail. Check that out if you haven’t already 😊 Best of luck to you on your roof raise! If you have any other questions, we’d be happy to help.
