Camping, guns, bourbon and a Superior Gear hammock - life does not get much better than that. As a co-owner of Superior, we thank you for mentioning and endorsing our product. You have helped us grow this company. Much thanks, Pete
The good stuff!! I am happy to promote this product. Especially now that you guys have in stock inventory! That is awesome. It has been fun watching this company grow. Thank you for the amazing products!
I’ve taken my superiorgear down well below zero, it’s an incredible system. Being able to snap on the superior comforter as an extra underquilt is a game changer for winter.
Nice! I suspect I can take this one down to 0º Looking forward to trying! I have a 15º comforter/underquilt for it as well. That puts my rating somewhere around -27º F I have yet to test that theory lol. These are fantastic hammocks. I love mine
Love my Hennesey hammock, but it's the only one I've ever had. My under quilt is too warm unless it's low 40s. So I'd like to try a different setup someday, and something lighter for backpacking attempts also. Cheers
I have a voyager on order from SG at the moment. I took your advice and went with the 45deg instead-thanks. I'm going to get to try it out for a two-nighter in St. Regis in a month or so. Really looking forward to testing.
That is awesome! Can't go wrong man. That bundle is going to be awesome at the price point. Please keep me posted on what you thin of it. And enjoy your time in the ADK!
I have noticed that I don't overheat using my Superior Gear -20 degree hammock at + 20, and I can stay warm under a +40 degree Montbell down semi- rectangular bag used like an overquilt. Since warm air rises, I don't overheat underneath. I bet that I could get it to -40 with a zero degree top quilt and down clothing. Cowboy camping on a cold, clear, moonlit night in a hammock is awesome, especially when serenaded by the great horned owls!
Hammocks are awesome! I am several years into them now, and feel like I can really push the comfort ratings on these things. I have yet to get too cold in one.
Thanks for the great review! I may have to grab one to keep the other four I already own company! (Clark/Eno/Grand Trunk and Lawson)! The Clark is my main with it's integrated bug net, weather shield and storage pockets. Albeit a tad heavy it's the one I'll grab 90% of the time. Also-because of 4 bulging back discs and stenosis I find hammocks to be the MOST comfortable sleep system I've found. They're great! Will take a serious look at that Superior though, thanks again!
I am sure it would work great. I can easily add another under quilt to take this thing down to crazy temperatures. I have a Superior gear 15º under quilt for it. Never used it with this set up, as the 30º hammock system, in combination with the 15º under quilt will give me a comfort rating of -27ºF.
I remember you filming, and I was standing by the lean to, and I was just thinking to myself what a beautiful morning. Then all of a sudden, I grabbed a shovel, and realized that's some things are worse than the hike out. 😂
Looks like fun! I have a -20F Superior and I used it right down to the rating and felt no cold on my backside at all. For quilts I used my 20F inside of a 15F . Toasty.
I think I had already gotten the OV I forget! Or perhaps it was the Wookies rating. I thought it was only a 40 degree. I will likely get it now lol@@ItsGoodintheWoods

I love it! Hammocks are awesome!

7/10 for the review. 10/10 for the woods, lean to, fire, whiskey, and firearms.🤙 love it!

My kinda fun thanks for all that you do. I love my hammock system
Hammocks are amazing!!
Was driving and pulled over to watch this! Last I checked, this weekend should be good in the Whites.

Best, Joe
Covered all the bases!

What is your under quilt rated for?
23-41 degrees @@ItsGoodintheWoods should have ordered a summer one I guess, but the mountains are unpredictable in temperature haha

These Superior gear hammocks are very nice. A tad heavier than my other set ups, but super easy to use and very comfortable.
Now this is livin!
Yes sir!
Good time and a good review. How do you think this system would work if you double up your quilts in colder weather? Thanks and take care, Al

The most fun since the last time we had fun out there.😂 I'm still laughing.😅
Always my man!

That -20 of yours is a beast!!!

Hey man! Thanks for stopping by
@@ItsGoodintheWoods you're welcome
I do love the idea of the integrated underquilt. I am not a huge fan of how the Outdoor Vitals underquilt fits my Warbonnet Hammock
The warbonnet is fantastic, I tried telling you to get the wooki to go with it. Perfect fit. You need the wooki bro
It's all about the wooki...
the Eldorado and the wooki is my other favorite set up.
I think I had already gotten the OV I forget! Or perhaps it was the Wookies rating. I thought it was only a 40 degree. I will likely get it now lol@@ItsGoodintheWoods
The wooki comes in various temp ratings. Decisions decisions @@projectknifehand
At what temp would you say this is too much insulation? If it's still in the 80s when you want to crawl in, is it going to be too warm?
That is an excellent question. For me, 70 and above is a no go. When summer hits I switch over to a 40º set up
Whats the weight I didn't hear that part?
3lbs 3oz
