Nice shoutout for Epoch. I toured their distillery last month and really enjoyed it. I liked the small batch and cask strength immediately and the toasted barrel is growing on me. Regarding Tobacco Barn, they're in Hollywood, MD.
I also would have grabbed that 4 roses as you don't see that year anymore 😉👍, MWND is still on the shelf around me as the price must be scaring buyers off this year plus it's not really that good anymore ( to me anyway) great video 😀 Cheers 🥃💯
I bought one 3 months ago and they put another in there. Sometimes they have great prices on certain things. Not so much on others lol @@barrelmandrinks
Great video as always! You seem knackered mate...hope you did refill the car! I would have just splashed out on that first store - target those $200-500 bottles and get the deals done...rather have 5 premium bottles in my collection than 20, no matter the price I pay - won't regret the experience and have a few unicorns on the shelf for years - know everyone won't agree, but often value hunting leaves you with many sub-par bottles, whereas if you hit the premium ones, you get to experience the best.
LOL. Sometimes it’s a long day of hunting and recording! We have lots of different whiskey enthusiasts here, so I try to mix it up, but I hear what you’re saying. Thanks again for sharing! Cheers!🥃🥃
Maryland prices are getting out of control, especially on some of the everyday stuff. Last week I saw a guy buy a $100 1.75 bottle of Buffalo Trace that brought a tear to my eye. I could have shown him something so much better for that much. Ive started buying at Va ABC.
Another solid Video. Prices are outrageous but can definitely find a good deal among the high prices. Arthur Wheeler whiskey is a MGP and they don’t make any on property. They have a nice little tasting room in Upper Marlboro MD.
Thanks for watching! $180 isn't the worse price. I typically see OFSB Rye for $199 in our area. If you enjoy that whiskey, then it's worth it! Cheers! 🥃
Maybe I miss it, but assuming you came down route 4 and was surprised you didn't hit Port of Call in Solomons, MD. I dont know where they're prices are over all but they have a fairly big selection. Enjoyed seeing someone come down to our area. Cheers!
@@christophercochran4641 I stopped in Lusby and turned around because the snow was starting to come down hard! Planning on going down to Solomon’s and back around to California and Leanardtown area on the next trip down to SoMD! Let me know if there are any other places I should hit up! I might need a local to help me get videos, because everyone in Lusby didn’t want me recording! Cheers! 🥃🥃
@@barrelmandrinks 10-4! I'm not even a bourbon drinker but frequent the place for rum and beer. All of you guys! And sometimes family and friends, but the UA-cam community here always has great suggestions for hunts and recommendations for whiskies! We have also learned to see ‘Liquor’ on signs and quickly pulling in for a look. Those are the best finds! Cheers!
I love getting bottles for 50% off! I’m waiting for my local ABC to put some bottles that are sitting (ie Jacobs Pardon) on sale. Last time they did 50% off, I grabbed a bunch! Great find! Cheers! 🥃🥃
@barrelmandrinks see that's how you do it. Make sure you keep your eyes open everywhere you go and don't pay those high prices please. You're killing me $250 for a four roses. Cut it out man there's also a 6-year-old rebel and a rebel reserve. Yeah?
Brother - no offense but you just focused on a crap unknown bottle ( Dorothy Arzner??) and passed up a green label DETTLING right next to it!!! WTF?!?!
@@barrelmandrinks So...Rebel doesn't make anything past 6 years yet. Anything past that they source from Heaven Hill. So the Rebel 10 is a 100 proof, 10 year, HeavenHill, Wheated Mashbill. The only thing it's missing is the bottle. Put them both in blinds, you'll confuse people like I did...they'll think there are two of the same in there lol.
if a store is very expensive, just leave--I don't want to see this no matter what they have. Save you time and energy for the better value stores that might also have some buy-able allocated. I just fast forward through some of this stuff.

Thanks for the Epoch & store suggestions! Cheers!
Prices in Maryland are insane. The 2 bottles of Old Soul are exceptional, but it depends on the price. In my area, they're 99.00
really good old soul sbbp picks here in Indiana at around $70
I have the OGD16 and it’s excellent. High rye.
Buffalo Trace at 59.99 is insane! I get it everyday in Montgomery County for $29. 🤦🏻♂️
After tax you saved 10 bucks. Good pickup
Insane prices 😳

Yeah. I've not had the MWND when it was good. Which year was the last good year in your opinion?
Hahaha I got to that store often and was tempting getting that four roses
How long did they have it for?
@ shoot I wanna say at least 4 months

I keep one Magnus Cigar Blend on the shelf.. I'm a buyer at $200 if I'm below half a bottle. Cheers!
also that allocated shelf is some of the worst pricing I've seen (excluding that Four Roses le)
Mayor Pingree is out of Michigan! It's fairly decent stuff. Haven't been blown away by any of their basic offerings so I don't have any on my shelves
Being from MI....they are pretty good. Go with the higher age ones if you find them. Usually store picks. Their ryes are good too.

good price on the magnus murray hill...anyone know which disco? ive never seen these in va
Disco was likely #10. I usually take note if I see an 11 or 12. Thanks!

Iron smoke is solid for the price.
Just picked up a lux Row Double Single Barrel for 44.99. It was 50 percent off, at that price why not

ABD may have been some of the worst prices I’ve seen except the 4RLE which 250 is great! Jack SBBP at 99 and most of the bottle were marked up 30-40%
@@ebrown126 Right? But this is why I always look. Sometimes you find a bottle that’s priced somewhat decent. Thanks for watching!

Weller fp….for $500 lol. This liquor store owner is a conman
I want that Cigar blend. Lets talk

ABD some of the worst prices in all of southern Md
Yeah. The allocated cabinet was a bit high, but that four roses LE 2022 was a must buy for me! Thanks for watching!
If you think they are bad. You should look at KenMar in Prince Frederick!

Rebel 10 is Old Fitz 10...just without the decanter bottle!
Same mashbill? Nice, so the decanter and name are an additional $50 (SRP). Thanks for the info!
