Did you declare that many bottles? I read the same thing you did with TSA limits, which is correct, but i also found CBP info stating 1L per person. I’ve also been told that the duty is not bad per extra liter as well…somewhere around $2.5-3/bottle. So maybe not a big deal either way! Thanks for watching and commenting.

The Wifey loves the 1924. OF 1910 is one of her go to’s, but she does like the extra age and smoothness of the 1924. You know, I almost got 1924 when we were visiting Vegas earlier in the year. We missed it by like a week. There was a first drop and some Lee’s stores were still showing in stock, but no inventory once we got to the store. I spoke to one manager and he looked up 1924 and said they had some in their warehouse which he could order for me, but would take a week or so. Unfortunately, we would be out of Vegas by that time so didn’t pull the trigger. I’ve had a lot of good experiences with Lee’s during our LV trips. Just find time to get to know the managers/employees and you’ll find that they’re super willing to help you with your hunts.

Nice find! If possible, try the Woodford Double Oaked first. It’s about 40% less than the Peerless, but a great sipper. You’ll often see the Woodford Double Oaked as store picks which brings other flavor profiles. I just got a Woodford store pick and it’s so close to the Peerless Double Oak. I hope you enjoy it!

Which BevMo had the JD10? That’s a great pick up! The RR barrel selects from BevMo are amazing! I need to find my way back to SF to grab more.

Hi, thanks for watching! We found our W12s in Paris, France. I’ve actually seen it in three different Parisian shops. Le Caves du Roy, Le Whisky Du Maison, and one other…I think Whisky Spirits. The wording on the back of the box is in French, instead of English which is typically the case with American Whiskies sold overseas.

Thanks for watching! The last drop was a surprise! It was supposed to be just store picks from that email we got. My wife and I were actually in Maryland that morning for a lottery of prized whiskies. We didn’t win anything, but did get a slightly overpriced Blanton’s $80…LOL. On the way back home, we decided to stop by an ABC and saw some allocated bottles. I got the same bottles you did! Have you had a chance to try either one?

If you’re interested in some Willett Purple Tops, they had some in some of the west Vegas shops. Also, there’s a ton of John J Bowman in Vegas if you’re hunting for it.

I haven’t been to LA in a bit, but I think Whiskey Bank on UA-cam is in the LA area and he’s mentioned some standard grocery stores and Total Wines having some good drops now and then. If you want a great bourbon from Bevmo, try their Russell’s store picks. I just picked up two different rickhouses (A & B) that they picked and they’re so good if you like em somewhat fruity and sweet. That’s if you like Russell’s or WT of course.

Thanks for watching! I don’t think so. This was the first time I’ve seen EHT SiB in the wild and not at secondary. Lee’s has been decent with getting drops of allocated bourbons. When we were in LV a couple months ago, I visited a Lee’s Discount Liquor up north. Maybe Aliante, but in that area, and the guy there mentioned that they had a drop of George T Stagg at their store. He even showed me the manifest for that delivery to their store. I was hunting Old Forester 1924 that month and some stores showed inventory, but that’s when I learned that you should call before driving over.

Definitely look up inventory on Lee’s Discount Liquors. If you find something online, give the store a call to confirm it’s still available, then head over there. I’ll post a video on how I did this very soon. Total Wine has a few stores in the area as well. We’ve been lucky finding Blanton’s, Eagle Rare and Hancock’s at TW just walking in by luck.

Blanton’s Gold was 125 euros, minus VAT of 15 euros, so 110 Euros net. I don’t recall the exact exchange rate to USD, but based on today’s rate, that would be around $118 USD. There’s a couple other shops that had it at 119 euros, but we didn’t have a chance to go to them. I found most of these online. Thanks for watching!
