This show lost 3 main characters in 6 episodes. Stephen, Cutter and Jenny. Thank god Connor, Abby and Lester carried this show till the end.
Yeah I agree. Stephen death was sad but I was not really effective by it because I did not like Stephen that much. Cutter death really got me because his character was just amazing and think his character was a lot better in series 3. Too bad it was cut short. Jenny departing was sad but understandable because when she came to work for the Ark she was just helping to cover up the attacks, then she started going on the field and in this episode she almost die. So it’s understandable why she left us.
@@rtaylor7384 Stephen’s death was unexpected but great. It was a really strong exit for his character. Cutter’s death was always stupid to me; he’s the protagonist of the show and they ended his story so unceremoniously. He should’ve just left the ARC with Jenny.
@@SaberRexZealot the actor wanted out which is why Nick was written out so suddenly, which unfortunately changed the trajectory of S3 and the rest of the show as a whole
I think this was the last straw. Cutter, Stephen & Claudia were gone. Helen was soon to follow.

I was already emotionally fragile with Cutter's death and Jenny's departure didn't help. I still enjoyed watching Primeval, of course, but it was just never the same.
Shut up. It was still the same after Nick death. It got better and better when Nick die and give us better characters.
Danny was a cool leader. They should've keep him for season 4 at least.

Funnily enough, Danny was right about Jenny not being able to forget about Claudia and Cutter.
Shame the show ended. I would have liked to see them pick that thread up they left at the end of Season 5.
Primeval has a habit of getting cancelled at cliffhangers 😂

Anyway, nah: I had ideas on what I might have done with it. Heck, I'd happily share those ideas, but I'm not going to be writing a Primeval fanfiction. I'm happy working in the worlds I'm in right now.

@@ZeusWeus Yes, because the financial funding for the show was always on the edge. . So the actors mostly were looking for more staedy work in their field.

For me I liked Jenny more than Claudia, maybe it’s just me but I felt like she gained more of a defined personality after the change

I disagree with that. It was still the same after Nick and Stephen left. It got so much better without them. I never like Stephen anyway. I cannot understand why people liked Stephen.
@@rtaylor7384 Being honest. I was fine with Stephen's death. But Nick's death was when the show really took a big hit towards me.
Not saying the show was bad afterwards. We still had Connor, Abby and Lester. I still have a good time. But Nick was my favourite character. If they were going to kill him off.
Why couldn't do it a little further down in season 3 instead of just 3 Episodes? I do like Danny and Matt. But Nick will always be the true leader of the team.
@@peeweemaroske8619 they had no choice the actor wanted to leave originally they had a long story arc with cutter for s.3 but had to drastically rewrite thing's. Personally think wd been better for him to be lost in time but again the actor wanted be killed off as he said he was never coming back he was unhappy with the direction in s.2 ie monster of the week which seems odd as s.1 was same.

Lester is one of my favourite characters in the show! 😂 he doesn't get much appreciation i dont think lol! Also danny too hes great! 😄😄
Ben Miller ( ester ) also had played an Inspector in the first seasons of DEATH IN PARADISE
Ben Miller did a very fine job playing the manager of this outfit. But I liked him even better as the Senior Detective in
DEATHIN PARADISE also a very well done series
Fun Fact: 0.36 Belinda Steward Wilson as Christine Johnson ( She is a .... Raptor just in better cloth - Lester on the question what Johnson was like ) She was married with Ben Millet from 2004 - 2011 ) might had been a reason for casting her for that role
Sad when she left but at least she came back and got a proper closure for her character. She should have ended up with Nick but at least she ended up happy in the end with a another guy.
