This has been an immensely fun series to watch so far, and instrumental in convincing me to take the plunge soon.
Glad it helped you!
Love these TMB playthroughs. Been sick for a little week and these playthroughs have been a godsend. :) Now I need to play my own TMB; haven't touched Splice and Dice or Unbreakable yet. Thanks for this.
Fantastic game from Paul and Rick. I can't wait for Christmas to get mine. So excited.
Loving this Too Many Bones playthroughs. Too bad you weren't able to win this time but, i loved to watch the battles, especially how you killed the 20 pointer. Thank you for this series, i can imagine that you'll probably won't have the time but, i'd love to watch you play more of this, maybe with other characters or even a campaign. Anyway, it's been epic. Cheers!
i watched all of these videos and they were very entertaining and a great display of the game. It has convinced me to purchase the base game and become a patreon member of yours. Thank you very much.
Thank you for so many TMB streams. I have started playing it more recently (solo) and these videos have been great. One of these days I'm going to see if my wife would like to play it as well. Until then, I'm striving to get more comfortable with all of the rules. These videos help quite a bit.
P.S. Happy belated birthday to Vicky!
Loving the too many bones series! This has gotten me really excited to buy the game soon... I’ll be much more comfortable with the game now thanks to the videos. Thanks!!
Enjoyed quite a lot, Paul. It’s obvious you’re still learning the game, but there’s a huge improvement between this and the first video of the series. Keep up the good work!
Great play through. I need to dig my copy out again and give it another go. I’ve played Boomer a few times. Just to mention on the different skill tracks, any skill with a star you can get that skill without having to get a preceding skill, so you can get Sonic Cleanse with any training point.
Definitely an epic finish! I love how even a seemingly hopeless battle is still fun to play and can be a close call.
Yeah, TMB clearly has lots of rules issues that I hope get ironed out, but I still really enjoyed this play-through, thanks! Rick seems like a cool addition to a stream too. If you post more TMB play-throughs, I’ll definitely watch them! I prefer it when there’s more than one character playing too :D
Paul, I thought your final analysis was brilliant--do dice builds according to the baddies you'll be facing. It was an a-ha moment for me and was worth the whole experience!
Good playthrough video. I love this game too. It was interesting to see how you almost won the initially absolutely hopeless final battle.
Thanks Paul for an excellent stream and the series. I'm just starting on TMB and this is amazing resource.
Love the TMB content. Cant get enough of it
Thanks for the playthroughs you've been doing. My copy showed up a couple days ago and these videos have jump started my learning!
Glad I could help!
Have watched all of your TMB videos after the livestreams ... they were fantastic ... many thanks to you and your guests 👍 Agree with George A in the comments ... 2 player is the hardest player count so, it may be worth balancing this out by playing in "easy" mode ... character build also depends upon the tyrant you're facing, so the replayability of the game is huge. Looking forward to your future TMB vids 🙂
I love your TMB playthroughs please continue super !
Fantastic playthrough video. It was loads of fun to watch. Thank you.
Also leaving a comment as requested. I'm in Mexico so I don't often get to enjoy these live due to time zone differences, but they are great!
Great play through. Good fun.
Enjoyed all your TMB plays. Really fun! Have been on the fence about pulling the trigger on this and now I think I'll have to do it.
Love Boomer and Nugget and I am looking forward to playing them.
Great game guys! Went all in on this amazing game now!
Great series
You should consider using body search after you've already slotted in some other components in locked slots, since it has a wild symbol for any of the parts you're still missing to create another bomb
I watched this after the livestream, so leaving a comment as requested. :D
Looks like a lot of fun! Still on the fence about getting it though. The components are stunning, but it's just so expensive especially with shipping to the UK. And like you alluded to at the end, it feels like one of those games you need to play a lot of to get good at (and to get the rules internalized)- and I've already got Spirit Island in that bucket, and there just aren't enough hours in the day.
Not sure how long non-campaign mode would hold my attention for either, if you're just using the same dice each time. But potentially there's even more reason to get good before committing to a campaign.
Not sure. It's a shame there's nothing else really remotely like this game!
But thanks for the stream anyway! And happy birthday to Vicky! (Vicki?)
Thanks. It's "Vicky", although so many people spell it wrong :)
Ah should've trusted my first instinct on the spelling then.@@GamingRulesVideos
Far be it from me to second-guess George A on anything related to Chip Theory Games, but unless it has been errata'd somewhere, Boomer can keep her element, casing and fuse dice in locked slots between battles. At least that's what her character sheet says. Locked dice are normally removed, but Boomer has a rules exception on that point.
George A is what makes the chat hard to look at. Alpha gaming at its finest.
Did I say anything different? You absolutely can keep them locked - I wouldn't have said you can't. I might have said you *should* probably remove them if they are locked at '1', so you can roll them again next battle and hopefully get 2+.
@@georgea5162 So long ago now, I can't recall. I may have misinterpreted something you said. Also, for the record, your rules clarifications in chat are one of the main reasons I watch TMB playthroughs. So keep them coming! :)
in the final fight, boomer may refuse to use the frag to stay alive with one health and still kill the big dude. and the armor makes 1 shield from rolled defence bones, so it would be one defence more for nugget. cheers
I wish one of them would just tell George to get lost. So frustrating.
