Because they’re inconsistent and haven’t proven anything more than one good year a piece and for that matter Jordan had a terrible first half of the season last year. (For the record I watched him play live in person at Utah state) your recency bias because of the playoffs is showing. Jordan has the potential to be a top 5 qb imo but we need more than half of last year. Dak on the other hand is what he is. Hes been consistent on that. It’s people that want him to be something he’s not because he has a star on his helmet, there is plenty of teams in the lower ranks of the nfl that world take the consistency he’s shown. Dak wasn’t a number one overall pick he’s done okay. For the record I hope they let him walk somewhere else after this year because I think it’s time for something new because clearly something isn’t working but he’s ranked appropriately and don’t even get me started on Mr. Super Overrated Jalen hurts

Anyone who thinks or says Allen is overrated, does not watch the Bills every week. He makes mistakes. RARELY in the Red Zone or in the playoffs. He is a Baller. He has an aggressive style. His upside FAR outweighs his mistakes. If you removed Allen from the Bills how re!event would they be? He's a better run threat than 70% of RBs. He has the most TDs in 4 years than anyone. Mahomes is 20 something behind him . Last playoffs almost beat Chiefs with practice squad defense. Some people never played football or don't understand it. If the bills had their 2nd string linebackers available to play in that playoff game I think the bills would have won. Instead they had 3rd string, practice squad and a guy they called off his coach a week before the game to transfer plays to the defense . The injury debate is always controversial but that was crazy to have the level of injuries on your defense. Allen never faces mahomes on the field. These “expert” critics always use that dumb comparison ,” he can’t beat mahomes in the playoffs”.

I think the more accurate statement is to say that Lamar/Allen/Burrow are all imperfect QBs .
Burrow has good playoff runs but he’s missed 12 games in 4 years and his number are okay.
Allen has great numbers but is a turnovers risk that unfortunately keeps him from winning individual awards. He also doesn’t beat his peers (outside of Lamar in 2021) in the playoffs.
Lamar is the best regular season QB over the last 5 years. He is great at putting up good stat. He wins individual awards but he struggles in the playoffs. In fairness he has made it further and further every year but his record is abysmal.

We all agree that Mahomes is number 1 but here's the question, would you take Mahomes production on your team if it cost you a turnover a game? That's literally what Josh Allen is. No one else matches Mahomes peaks as often, no one can throw the angles, throw the same deep ball in crazy wind, has the rushing ability, can make average guys look all pro (john brown, beasley), put up 40+ TD's a season, win their division every single season, break playoff records, not get hurt, and give you a chance no matter where you play. The only difference is allen turns it over a little more than Mahomes which causes there to be a little lower floor. If you knew you had a chance at getting mahomes on your roster at 90% of what mahomes is they would take it, which is what Josh Allen is. That's why people hate on him for his turnovers cause everyone wants an MVP from him and for him to be the best but he's the only one who has a standard that is comparative to Mahomes which is why their duels are so entertaining.

if your asking me to pick today im taking Allen #2 behind Mahomes. Burrow injury concerns are a real thing. Also i think Josh gets judge harder because he has so much talent. I think he is the most talented QB in the league when you combine everything. The last piece he is missing is that Mahomes just processes the game a much higher clip. Out of that top 5, I'd argue Allen has had the worst supporting cast of players and coaches and yet they've been pretty successful. He's definitely underrated by the majority of fans who don't watch him all the time. He literally has to turn a busted, broken play into a positive at least once a drive to keep the chains moving.

The Burrow agenda is crazy and ignores that Mahomes played his absolute worst playoff game vs the Bengals in that loss. Burrow does not play defence, he did not force those picks, Burrow himself was unremarkable, just a bad game by Mahomes.
Had Mahomes thrown that many interceptions vs the Bills, Ravens or 49ers this year & played that badly, they’d all have beaten him too. Burrow just the benefactor of an anomaly, he’s not uniquely impressive among his peers and certainly not a definitive top 2 QB.
