What we saw with CJ is what we would have seen had Mahomes actually played his rookie season. I like Brock don't get me wrong, but he will be playing under the shadow of the talent around him until they start dropping those pieces and give him a true contract.

If you put an elite QB on the 49ers they win the Super Bowl. Purdy played pretty average throughout the playoffs. Look up his stats, and watch the game. He was good/okay. He’s in the 12-15 range tops.

Mahomes, Burrow, Purdy, Stafford and Goff are the only active starting QBs to play in the last 6 SBs from the top 10 list. No Purdy? A NFCCG and SB. Huh?

Took 2 long time losing franchises to division championships within 2 seasons of being a starter, last 2 years the ONLY QB to throw for over 9000 yards, has 60TD passes, thrown the fewest interceptions, is 16-6 against playoff opponents and 2 dropped passes and a ball bouncing off a CB's facemask away from taking yet another franchise to the Super Bowl. If anything he is underrated cause he had 2 bad years in LA where he wasn't seeing eye to eye with his HC.

Dak being 10 as a 4th round pick is an awesome accomplishment. I am not giving out participation trophies, I just think sometimes it gets over looked that he was a 4th round pick and not a 1st round pick.
I also think he would be considered better if he wasn’t on a team that had championship aspirations every year. Dak takes a hit for being 2-5 in the playoffs for the Cowboys, but the Lamar who has worse numbers in the playoffs, and maybe the same record, is considered wayyy better🤷🏾♂️

That was a lackluster boring mvp season. It wasn't anything special. Had one great game at the end of the season and people gave it to him because they didn't want any of the SF boys to win.

For mine it goes like this:
1. Mahomes - Clear
2-4. Burrow, Allen & Lamar - Pick your own order depending on what you value most. These guys, when healthy (which is actually a big issue for 2/3) make playoffs very likely and should be a SB contender.
5-15. Stafford, Herbert, Stroud, Rodgers, Goff, Dak, Purdy, Tua, Cousins, Love & Hurts - Pretty much pick your order again, I think you can basically make a case for any order here again depending on what you value. I'd argue that all are good enough to make playoffs likely and a SB possible.
The next group for mine is Lawrence, Baker and Geno, in that their best is in the group above but they've been so inconsistent to be a rung below them.

This list is literal fantasy . Brock Purdy Literally was QBR Champ , was Top 5 in every signicant passing Category , and led in the MVP All last season . He had the Best Passing Completions Percentage over 20 30 40 yard passes . He has led SF to a 15 Point per Game improvement . He went to 2 NFC Title Games , and a SB in the last two seasons . Dak literally had Stats Vs mostly losing Teams compared to Brock beating Winning Teams with Top Defenses . Brock hung 42 points on Philly and Dallas .

The thing is, Dak's numbers in the regular season are top 5, and his playoff numbers in the playoffs are top 10, but the 2-5 record ia what makes people say he's 10th or not top 10 at all, doesn't really make sense given Lamar, Love, Stroud, Stffoard, Allen, Burrow, Herbert and Rodgers have losing records or .500 records

Said Purdy was trashing they zone defense better than anyone he had ever seen. Then CMC fumbled. I assume thats on Purdy. Then Trent Williams had two penalties, also on Purdy probably. Spags said they needed to make up custom plays at halftime, ones they had never practiced before, in order to beat Purdy. Spags probably doesnt know what he's talking about though.
I think the biggest knock against Dak and Purdy is how good the offense is around them. I think most people believe you can replace both of them with almost any Top 20 QB in the league, and the teams would still have a winning record.

It’s crazy how things shift after some success. In 2019/2020 everybody loved the Chiefs and now in 2023 and 2024 everybody hates us because we win so often now.
