Just brilliant young lady. You are a true artist. Your use of the Miliput is perfect. It’s so cool to see youngsters into wood working. You have a new subscriber. Cheers from California.
You are right, young lady!! Milliput does look like hard work!! Good job, and I look forward to more of your craftsmanship!! Cheers from Napa Valley, CA
Beautiful!! I love how the turquoise and black milliput has so much movement and swirls and the white bands really set it off. Goes fantastically with the walnut. Excellent work!
Well done young lady. I've never had any success with Milliput, always ends up a disaster and had to cut it out and do something else with it!!! You've inspired me to try again. From and old codger and amateur wood turner.
I love seeing young people doing old crafts such as this. There's a young man of 22 who also does wood turning. You are a wonderfully talented artist and your passion for wood turning is very apparent. Have a blessed and prosperous 2021.
Excellent job ! As a retired industrial education teacher (from Providence, Rhode Island) Your work practice and explaining what you are doing as you do it is fantastic! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Awesome...I just started turning and I'm making what I'm told is great work - your ideas inspire me and will enhance my work. Thank you from Arizona. I have 6 daughters & it's nice to see young ladies proving they can do what men can. God bless.
So nice to see the white milliput as a buffer between the wood and the color. So many pieces clang and clash when the colors just don't go with the wood. This is excellent work.
Brilliant! A beautiful piece of walnut and a lovely bowl. As you say, using Milliput is a bit of a process, but it sure turned out nicely. Well done. Thanks!
Great job there! What you can do to smooth over Milliput is to use a damp finger to smooth it over before further turning. All in all, turned out really nice!
Great job young lady. All the advice on the roughing gouge is well intended. It's worthwhile to take note so as to avoid possible injury. BTW I thought the start was a bit quiet, presumably the slow entry was an attempt to overcome your shyness (not)! Keep up the good work.
I'm a newb. Don't even have my own lathe yet but have been working with a mentor. You got my attention real quick when you hollowed out that bowl with a Roughing Gouge... :) LOL. Nice bowl. Walnut is one of my faves. I have walnut trees's coming out of my ears on my property. Several have be downed over the years. Time to start cutting them up and storing them... ;) Do some more turning vid's...
When I started like you I used a spindle roughing gouge on the bottom of a bowl because nobody told me not to. The tool smashed into the rest and half of it broke off and flew through the air. Luckily it didn’t hit me or I might not be typing this. Apart from that nice work.
I've never used Milliput... not sure if that is something in the USA or not? Very nice looking bowl! If I may make a suggestion in your turning... When hollowing out your bowl, work from the outside inward... Don't start from the middle. The inside gives strength to the bowls outer perimeter... So, when you work from the inside out you get a lot of flexing on your edges. There are seasoned woodturners on youtube that give demonstrations on why it is better to work outside to inside.
Hey Country wood Girl! I just happened to see your video and you have me hooked as a subscriber. I will be looking forward to more videos from you. I am glad to see more females into woodworking! Sisterhood with wood! -
Stunning bowl and lovely effect with the milliput. But please don't use a roughing gouge on a bowl blank. Because the grain runs from side to side and not a long the lathe (like on a spindle blank), serious and dangerous catches are far more likely.
Nice work young lady. You use the tools well, but I would change the tool you are using on the bowl. The roughing gouge is for spindle work not bowls. Use bowl gouge instead. I have been turning 20+ years. . I just subscribed so I can see more of your work. Good job. You've got me exited about using milliput on my bowls and boxes.
Hi MISS.. BLIMEY I THOUGHT YOU WERE OFF AS A DEEP SEA DIVER.. LIKE THE BOWL LOOKS NICE.. A NICE PICK OF COLOURS.. ID LIKE TO KNOW WHAT FINISH YOU PUT ON...IVE USED POLISH AND HAD A JOB AS IT GOT ONTO THE MILLIPUT ....AM WATCHING THIS FRON N.S.W. AUSTRALIA..DAVID DAVIES..

Hi that walnut I also love so much. the bowl came out just fantastic with milliput. I also used it.

@@CountrywoodGirl Hi! 👋🏿
nice work on that bowl, the milliput looks great. a toothpick is handy for getting the Yorkshire grit out of the rings.
brilliant well done👍

Lololol love your energy ! I got tired just watching, beautiful work :)
The Spindle Roughing gouge is for spindles. You could have gotten a bad catch. Otherwise nice job. Love the bowl.
Turned😉 out really nice👍

No, it only looked like a roughing gouge because of the angle of the shot which hid the point, it was a actually a bowl gouge.
Just found ur channel omg ur brilliant cant wait to bing watch
Stunning!
Thank you!
First video of yours I've seen. Lovely use of milliput, it turned out beautifully! Great work! You're a great artist.
Thanks! Subscribe for more videos. Am planning on doing a lot more woodturning!

Hey nice work ! Just starting out myself. Keep up the good work :-)
Good job!!
Nice job, do take your bowls to craft fairs?
I don't but have recently set up an Etsy page under the name of countrywoodgirl where in the future ill list there to sell.
Looks really nice! Where did you buy your logo coins? Thanks.
Beautiful bowl, love the milliput and how it turned out. I’m a new subscriber. Your a very talented young lady, your also cute as a button.
Thanks!
@@CountrywoodGirl You could have sealed your logo with clear resin though. It would have been much much cooler to be able to see it through the resin.
Milliput is brilliant. mixes with different pen inks and dies. It can be used for many things from fixing exhaust pipes to making jewelry
Hey country wood girl! Great vid.... but as a beginner I’d love to see what tools you are using!
Very nice...

Hi I'm curious what make the respirator/helmet combo is? I'm thinking of investing in one. Thanks!
Amazing lady
Great work! How did you mix milliput to get that mottled, marble effect?
Arthur Shenton thanks! Mix two colours separately then gentle mix together, roll into long lengths and push into the recess.

I sanded it too

Spindle roughing gouge is dangerous for turning bowls catches can be very dangerous, use a bowl gouge ! End result looks nice
outstanding work - where did you get your round logo made Mark
