Apply thin layers always.. If u have to build it up little by little.. But don't apply a lot from the first go.. That's such a big mistake everyone does when using cushion foundations
I liked the em cosmetics cushion foundation too! the other ones I've used before (like missha) were a bust though lol, but most likely because I was unfamiliar with using cushion foundations and skin prepping at the time. TIRTIR was awesome for me when I applied using very thin layers though! even when I accidentally chose a shade that was too light for me. thanks for the swatch!
Personally as a makeup artist I don’t recommend matching the neck unless you’re very modest and don’t expose any body. If any chest or arm is showing you want to consider the shade of the body as well.
@@veronicalopez6187 this is so true..my face colour matches my chest area much more than neck My neck is slightly darker so it's so much more convenient to match it to my true colour or chest area
@@chillin513 exactly!! Out of all of the people I’ve shade matched literally no one had the same color on face neck and chest. Some differences are more noticeable than others but it’s best practice to consider the whole upper body for a color match.
I think the ring light might be making her skin look lighter than it is so it appears that the product matches. But she’s probably a shade or two darker which is why she’d like it to oxidize ✌🏾❤️
Ladies, tap/press the sponge onto the lid or flat surface before applying to face. Doing so gets rid of excess foundation and distributes it more evenly onto the sponge, making the makeup look more natural and as a bonus it stays on your face longer.
love the match shade! maybe you should tap the whole pad onto the cushion and if the foundation is too much you can tap it on the back of the cushion cover where the pad is because it's full coverage cushion foundation so you don't actually need so much tap on the cushion, sometimes I only use one tap and can use for the whole face 😁
I think the color match on you was terrific… But yes, from your very first Pad to the face, it was too much product. I give it ONE press… Push the pad into the inside pallet cover to remove a little excess.. Do one press on cheek, cheek, forehead, then blend blend blend… Repeat until you’re done. I’m seeing others, pressing the cushion several times … you’re already screwed before you even started. I also see people pressing the cushion into the product with their fingertips…😮 you want to coat the entire cushion evenly. Doing a proper is awkward and it’s not what we’re used to. There is a learning curve👏👏👏👏
I usually am Ivory or similar color shades in foundation, so I bought 21N Ivory (neutral undertones here), it was to light on my skin. I bought a shade up (23N) and it’s the perfect shade. Other people have said the same, in this case, these come lighter than the images going around with swatches on an arm.
Your natural skin is beautiful and honestly you don't need ANY foundation! When you are an older lady like me you will wonder why did you cover up that skin. We only fully appreciate our natural beauty when it starts to fade. Blusher is a girl's best friend.
you don't need that much product! the biggest mistake people make when using cushion foundations are pressing until they see product on the sponge, but you actually should hardly see anything on it. you can also use the lid covering the foundation to tap off any excess product. this foundation is really good, it really lasts, and if you apply it correctly it even stays put pretty well when you wear a mask! the japanese and korean girlies dont play about this foundation
If you apply thinner layers and dad the exess from the cushion on the little pallet before you apply it? You'll get a more even application and it won't oxide
I bought to the hype also😔 the last thing I needed was yet another foundation I already have over 30..🤫 I have normal to dry skin … I did my morning skincare routine…. You're doing wrong, their website explains that you have to Press the cushion on the cover (where you keep the cushion when you are not using it) multiple times so the excess of product stays there ,and then apply to your face the cushion with no excessive make up on it .. that wey it will be not cakey.......(English is not my mother tongue,so I hope you understood 😅). Anyway nice content ❤
Finally someone don't have the whole Set!!! I mean what those people do with the other foundations which are not their match why they have to take and show off about the whole big set 😶
I feel like ppl now match their foundation inside store lights and with their faces instead of the correct way which is to match your neck. Your face will never be the same color as the rest of your body. So you gotta match it with the closest thing aka your neck. Once I did that, i found the perfect non orangy foundation 😤 That's when i realized i had olive undertones. Y'all look at color theory for a while. It took me infinity of painting and studying shading and colors wheel to actually have a grasp of wtf was going on with skin tones. Everything 😂 it's half translucent with maps of different colors vains. No wonder every spot is a different color and when you do a portrait painting, it comes out flat even with contouring the face. 💀
Yes, it does. I used this shade and it was a perfect match initially. A few hours later, it was noticeably darker. It's nothing that can't be erased with highlighter, blush, etc, though!

I don't think so. Yes, the foundation matched her neck, but the complexity of her face was lost and now her face color looks bland and too light.

Hello there. What was the code of this foundation for your complexion?
I think I have the same like yours that's why asking.

You look casket sharp.
