What a pity missing night skip, I have an idea. Can we do other actions instead of airwhip to avoid guessing if there's whipcancel? For example, simoncan walk through the 2nd and 3rd wolf. In the scence after the bridge, the 2rd and 3rd skeleton can be killed by forward jump holywater. IF it works, the amount of frames to be delayed can be confirmed by using EMU.
In all three cases it's for lag reduction. The jump-throw on the skeleton would lag about 6 extra frames, and leaving the wolves alive would lag for something like 20-30 each. The only lagless alternative is to do standing whips, but for some reason I was getting more randomness on the night frame by doing that, rather than doing them in town. So I went back to jump whips, and as long as I didn't cancel I would get it more often than not. In this case, I analyzed the run myself in frame advance, and I found out why I missed night skip here. We all thought bonking simon's head at the end of town was a consistent 5 frame delay. Turns out it doesn't always do that. In this run, I did two of them, and for some reason they delayed for 4 frames each. So me, thinking I had 10 total frames there, instead only had 8, so I got there 2 frames early. Everything else was calculated correctly, even the mistake on the 2nd wolf kill, and no whip cancels happened. I didn't know until then that the bonks could do that, so if I come back for 12/12, I'm not doing them anymore. And nobody should. That should fix a lot. And if I can make the standing whips more consistent, I'll switch to those too, because yes the air whips suck.
