Well if it’s from Curseforge then you don’t have to do anything since it automatically does all the work for you, in the case where you downloaded mods from a website for example and it’s a zip file it should show up in your downloads folder from there extract the file and drag the extracted mods into your mod folder under the sims4. Now if for some reason when you go into the game and nothing shows up make sure the cc/mods are enabled in the sims4 settings. Let me know if this helps in any way!

I have window `10 and if for some reason you want to delete it dose it mess with your mods and cc . like removeing them?. and if the maker of mods do not up date there mods how can this program update for you and i saw another video about this it said some mod maker do not want there mods on this. i can still just download mods my self right?
Hey, so this app is a collaboration of EA and Curse forge so it would work safely. Second, if you were to delete a mod/CC from curse forge or even your folder it will remove the mod/CC from the game. And yes, as I mentioned in the video there are plenty of CC creators that aren't on curse forge and don't plan to so you can download mod/CC on any other website you'd like, it shouldn't affect the app 👍
If you could respond that would be amazing! So Im using curseForge and downloading the mods but when I'm in game its not showing up or its not there, what should I do moving forward😋😋
Hello! So I would make sure my settings in the game for mods/CC are on and that the mods are being downloaded to the correct sims4 mods folder. Hope that helps otherwise I made a new video where I answer questions and explain curse forge more clearly :)

One more thing you could check on is to make sure the downloads are getting downloaded into your Sims 4 Mods folder if it isn't you should be able to change where the downloads go in the Curse forge setting by clicking "Addons" and under "Application content path" and redirecting it to your mod folder in the Sims 4, I hope this helps let me know if you need any more help!

Well if the creator of the mod doesn’t release any new updates then curse forge can’t update the mod since there’s no new updates. So Yea there is some mods i really like too but not all of them get updated it’s all up to the creators.

The app is free, currently the app is still in beta I think, more updates are coming soon though. CurseForge recently came out it's a pretty new app and website

@@lay6502 I had the same issue at first, so in settings, there's an option "Game Specific +" when you click on that 2 options will show up one will say "scan the computer for games" that option is the easiest it'll scan to find other games such as the Sims4 if that doesn't work then you can try the other option "Manually add a game" that's what I had to do since I have the sims4 through steam. When you click on that your files will show up from there all you have to do is select your Sims4 folder and if you clicked on the right folder, it'll add the game, and the Sims4 will be in the CurseForge app. Hope this helps 🙂
Honestly I’m not completely sure if there’s a option to manually move them yourself. Curseforge does install them into your files, I’m hoping in the future that there’s a way to organize them into the files
so if for any reason i do not want the curse forge and uninstal it i would also lose all my mods and cc that was in it or would they still be in my mods folder

I just had to delete my entire cc file (too many individual glitches) but curse forge saved my life! made downloading mods an cc much easier

Oh well maybe its looks empty because the mod wasn’t downloaded with a picture or the mod/CC might be broken I’m not exactly sure.

I’m not sure what box your seeing should be the mod/cc. As long as you didn’t delete a saved files on your game your sims shouldn’t be deleted

Hmm, did you try manually adding the game? That’s what I had to do since I have the Sims 4 on Steam

It’s not showing me the sims game at all . Once I installed it , it has other games for me to choose.

If I use curseforge I would just download cc and mods not install them. I prefer to move them to the mods folder myself.

No, once you download the mod it stays is your mod folder regardless if you uninstall the app or not
