I think the best part is that they made it entirely believable that Blob could be a legitimate opponent for Wolverine - which he was in the comics - versus just being grotesquely fat man.
@@benji285 I think it depended on who was doing the writing. During most of Claremont's run, the claws couldn't cut Blob. Something about his skin being extra tough and soft/squishy so he'd absorb the blow instead of being cut.

As someone who used to be quite large and was insecure about it. I find this scene quite positive. His size is played for laughs, sure, but he's shown as still being a good fighter on top of being super-durable. And his character is more than just "lol he's fat". If you'd done HALF the shit his team did and then had to live with it? You'd want some kind of coping tool too!

Loved the part where Blob got stunned after head butting Wolverine. Reminds me of the Bugs Bunny cartoon where Crusher was stunned after hitting the door and can picture Blob saying "Duh, just passing by" as he staggers around. 😆

The lines between Wolverine and John were so perfectly well written and funny to me that this was probably one of the most iconic scenes in The Wolverine as I have watched this too many times.

And even though it was a terrible excuse for Deadpool, I absolutely loved the concept of this movie's Weapon 11... just the idea of a Frankenstein's Monster of a Mutan was so awesome. It just sucks that instead of having it be a new character all together, they tried to pass it off as the Merc with a Mouth.
I love this movie too. The dynamic between Logan and Victor was perfect. In my head canon Weapon 11 is a clone and the real Wade Wilson is out there waiting to become Deadpool. Since Logan, we know that the mutants that Stryker recruited were all cloned anyway, it fits.

I'm sure in the behind-the-scenes, there's something in between the glove and slushy that's connected to each other, resulting in Fred "holding" the cup, but what about the in-universe explanation?
I’d argue that movies like this one were always good, folks just couldn’t appreciate them at the time because they wanted something like “Infinity War”. The portrayal of Deadpool scarred this movie beyond recovery. Especially with Deadpool being at the end of the movie, it’s what you’re left with to remember.

I liked this movie it's seriously underrated. The only thing I have a problem with is the handling of Ryan Reynold's character as Deadpool.
