Woooooow i thanks guys for the videos that you posting, last year november i decided to take my car to Windhoek namibia for the first time after i watched the road videos, to you all the youtubers thanks alot
Congratulations again on the GTI - forgot it was its first time visiting home. It’s so beautiful to see family driving the car and blessing it. I’m sure they must of been so proud 🙌🏾
I love it man, very nice trip going home. I've done two trips to Capetown already via different routes and now I'm planning the last one from JHB to CTN via the garden route. I also need to start filming these journey's 🎉 Awesome trip brooh he NDAA!
You forgot to mention the price of each Tollgate you drove pass, including the amount of money you've spent on refreshments... But otherwise, I truly enjoyed it! 🥂💯...
Nice video boet. Tyre noise was a big thing for me too and I also have 18's but once I replaced the factory tyres (Bridgestone) with Michelin PS4 it was a game changer, really. Sure you pay more but silence is now golden :). Your fuel economy is interesting because I see you also used Eco mode (something I never use) and your fuel economy was around 6.9L/100KM. With some passive driving I managed to get as low as 6.3L/100KM as an average but have attained 5.4L/100KM when going from Durbanville to CPT centre. Safe travels my guy and see you on the road.
Thanks for this💪🏽, i need to check that out. Cause the roadnoise is jarring at some points. I think if i adjust my speed limit i can lend below what i got. But i was just thrashing it in every moment i could find. See you around definitely 🫡
@@PheloMngCars I just replaced my tyres last month (on the 4th set now) and had to go with Michelin PS5 since it replaces PS4. Avg of R3200.00 per tyre and they only last like 35000 to 40000KM's if you rotate all 4 every 6000KM's
I was definitely tired. Need to rest more for when i go back. She just wanted to speed that one 😂 i had to make sure she doesn’t speed, but yeah, a wholesome moment. Appreciate you tuning in 👋🏽
Scientifically you are not correct to say it doesn't have density, if it cools down it becomes more dense. Your point is - if it's cool, the consumption will be high (since there's more particles per unit volume in contrast to when it's a bit warmer)?
@ when it cools down, there's decantation. Fuel separates from water and you get close to 100% fuel when you fill up in the morning. Therefore, consumption will be less
Lovely road bro, i flew this time around but always enjoy that road. I am pretty sure you didnt sleep, drove straight through the night. Enjoy the ride back
Great video, according to my tests and analysis i have done with my 1.0 POLO 2018 highline car driving long distances , i think it would cost me approximately R2244 to travel 1700km
😢😢😢 dem that's quite a fuel efficient car my Citi Rox 1.4i gives me minus 720 on the tank 😅😅😅😅and there is no aircon 😂😂😂 had to change the exhaust system now I have power flow and hopefully I will have better fuel consumption😅😅
What /How did you position your camera on the passenger seat side,? It shows everything from the road, mountain views, digital cluster and yourself ( the driver).... That's awesome! 🎉. What did you use?.. If possible please show it
I commend you for doing 100km/h in a GTI and resisting the temptation to unleash the beast😂. Must of took a lot of self control to stop yourself from trying to listen to the exhaust at every tunnel you could find.
First fill up is not make sure. Your car is 45l with an extra 5 reserve, so with 40km range left should have at least taken close to a R1k. Your trip must have been nice in the GTi🫡🫡🫡
I stayed in CT for 3 years and I've driven in JHB a number of times, during traffic and i Fully agree with you, CPT drivers are the worst. When it rains in CPT the traffic on the N2 does'nt move and that used to drive me Crazy...
lol i had the same same or even worst dramatic reaction when i go through freestate all the times 'you can never ever get used to their horrific state of socol potholed roads in FreeState yooooh, youll always see that x1 '18wheeler truck or a bakkie flying past u while u slowly taking caution of ur small car through the holly roads lol
Bro great video, I also plan to do a trip like this one day when I get the Polo GTI🤣nghlala e Game and I start working in Cape Town next year, this is inspiring🙌🏾what do you do for a living?
I drove (208 Peugeot GTi) from jhb to cape town (6 am to 8pm) recently after festive holidays. It was 14 hours of driving. The heat in Northern cape for me. After 12 pm or 2pm. It was perk heat. I
Does the polo GTI not allow you to pass the airlock when fuelling? I drive a Polo Vivo GT and the normal tank size is 45 litres but I normally put 52 L and that gives me an increased range.
Joburg is just not it man 🫠 the aura. There is just negative in every aspect... I was just watching BMTV . He also mentioned that Joburg has this aura...
I dont agree with the fuel consumption because you consider only one person in the car while most people drive as a family with luggage and going to bloem you climbing from sea level to the highveld those stats on fuel consumption would be completely out.
@PheloMngCars, Eco Mode clearly slap different in different cars. Is that 17 hours reflective of only the drive time on the road and not rests periods?
Eco Pro Mode at some point in my 2012 BMW 120D gave me an average of 4.4L/ 100kms and on the return leg it reached 3.9L/ 100kms. Eco Mode in a performance car feels like a scam stru😂😂😂
Free state has the worst back roads the one you travelled in is far better that most of them some of those roads you'll need to ti travel at atlist 20km/h cause the potholes are so big that they fill both lanes and can't be avoided. Free state roads are poorly maintained and are worse than the dirt/gravel roads i travel when in KZN.
Cape Town? Folks there drive as if driving is one of very many things that is happening to them at that point in time. Dozy behaviour..worst I have seen is Limpopo though. Saw gents overtaking going into a tunnel... Those guys are "vho risk it all"
Duuuude is that a national road with all those potholes??? If only South Africans used the vigour and energy they use to attack the Eastern Cape to attack the national government!!! In EC you will never find a pothole on a national road by the way smh 🤦🏾… nice video ma brother and nice car 👌🏾👌🏾
Cape Town drivers are not “bad drivers” per se; at least not in the true sense of the word.. They just don’t understand the “keep left, pass right” concept; and they are too damn slow - they will hog the fast lane doing 40 km/h 😡😡. But heeey I guess that makes them bad drivers because they mess up our time on the road
I have spent R2800 on fuel from cpt to polokwane. posted my video last week. nice vlog bro
Great video, reminds me of BMTV’s I30N road-trip

Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Very educational with regards to toll gates and fuel consumption on the Polo GTI. Great content.🔥👌🏾
It is advisable to fill up in the morning because the petrol cools down throughout night and it's thick, doesn't have density
Scientifically you are not correct to say it doesn't have density, if it cools down it becomes more dense. Your point is - if it's cool, the consumption will be high (since there's more particles per unit volume in contrast to when it's a bit warmer)?
