It is truly a nice vehicle Jeff. And I am not much of a 'Van Guy'. (I liked the old Chevy Vans of the mid 1960's with 'Three on the Tree' though. lol)
That Platinum Trim is in the same price range as the Highlander Platinum so to speak.
I wished you took that out on the road so we can get a feel for it....0-to-60 and all of that.

I appreciated the thorough review of the 2022 Sienna. I just took delivery of my Platinum 4 days ago and I am so impressed. The features I now have are just light years away from my 2015 Subaru Outback. I bought this model to get the reclining second row seats with the ottomans as my wife has to have her feet up.
I've read just about every single review on the Sienna...the comparables to the Odyssey, KIA Carnival and Pacifica. I'm all about buying American products and with this minivan being produced in Princeton, IN, that fits the bill. However, the KIA Carnival was my original choice, especially for the second row ottomans. KIA has electric controls on theirs and it is very slick. What got me though, was talking to several dealers in 5 states and finding they were pricing waaay above MSRP. One dealer in Arkansas wanted $12K over sticker for a used Carnival with 12,000 miles on it. No thank you!! The mileage for the Carnival is terrible, also.
I previously owned 2 Ford Aerostars and the only time I put a piece of 4x8 plywood down on the floor was to haul firewood in it. I don't ever anticipate putting any wood in this van! I have a pickup and a trailer for that and if I want a load of lumber I can have it delivered. I"ll stow the third row and push the front seats forward if I need the room for furniture.
There have been so many that keep saying it's too slow. I've taken this up to 85mph with no trouble and did not find it laboring to get there. It sips gas and I drive the left lane to pass all the time. Toyota has incredible safety features, even at the base models. I would encourage folks to give this minivan a try!
How much was your platinum if you don’t mind me asking?
I gotta to give 100% on the fact that I got a 2004 and it have been the one perfect, and the one thing to think about you don't see Toyota Sienna broke down on side of the road, facts. Gotta To Love it

Is it werid that I'm 26 years old and have no kids but want this van so bad this thing is nice it's AWD it's a hybrid and can fit 8 people in it gets good gas mileage which means I can take this thing around the country and travel in style with reclining rear seats a mini fridge and more

I used to get a new car every 2 or 3 years, but they have become way too expensive - plus I'm hearing about dealers marking up the prices. That makes this a BIG NO for me.

Given the lower than normal production and inventory, will it worth it to just wait for the 2023 model? Also why Toyota don’t offer another seat color in addition to the Noble Brown, I really wish they offer black seats.

@@rv2167 The new Sienna and Highlander Hybrids should have won Car of the Year in every contest when they came out. The practicality and fuel economy they provide is a huge leap forward. Just imagine, a Sienna that gets better mpg than a typical Corolla!! The only way to make them better would be to make them in Canada instead of Indiana.

Well that is a great question. Every dealership is a little bit different and every region is a little bit different. Not sure what else to tell you on pricing lol sorry
Thoughts on the rear infotainment system? No DVD player or support for apple airplay is a big negative

Good option as camper van. Get rid of all back seats, increase ground clearance with a lift kit, and I am ready to trade my 4 runner. Why Toyota never offered this as a cargo van???
Why is there an empty/blank button next the camera view and heated steering wheel buttons (to the left of the steering wheel)? If highest end trim, shouldn't all spots/buttons have a purpose? Maybe it's something only on the AWD models?
That spot has no purpose on any current model Sienna, Toyota usually saves an extra space for any potential future features.

Hello Vanessa, I am from Mexico. I ordered a Sienna Limited White blizzard 2022 in August also. Same here, the production is too slow, sales girl offered one in silver in December but me and my wife rather have what we ordered since the start. My advise is, to forget about the 2021 and go for the newest model available.
Did you receive your XSE yet? I ordered one in May 2022. I’m still waiting.

Can you do 2022 Prius prime the blue and the red compairing them on the colors as well so hard to find a good vid on the more expensive paint vs the blue that comes on the prime, also any update on the 2023 models ?

Great video Jeff! I'm looking at the Sienna Woodland but they seem impossible to find. Dealers don't seem to have a single one in stock, for me to even look at. Is this because demand is really high, or really low for the Woodland? What are you hearing and seeing about the Woodland Edition?
Which one you bought in the end? I'm looking at all the trims and Platinum makes sense since we've to live with it for next 10 to 15 years!
The only reason that I bought the limited trim not the platinum is the ugly brown seats

…Haven’t heard it does on sienna 2022..2023, although the 2023 Highlander has wireless CarPlay so maybe sienna will get it for the 2024 model

Unfortunately, the cheapest, stripped down mini vans start above $33k with Kia and Honda and Toyota starts at $34,700. The Pacifica starts above $37k.

They do.
2 things we don’t like: 1) the trunk seat area seems cheaply designed to fold seat compared to the Honda Odyssey. 2) the front grill is boring!

Really disappointing to me that Toyota won't put 8 seats in a higher trim level Sienna. Honda does that. Plenty of people need the better practicality of a three place second row and want the extra features.

Your looking at 61K if I include Tax,Tag and Title, plus Freight. What ya get for that money? Old 2.0 Safety Sense, 9 Inch screen, and a lousy back up camera view that's way outdated. Not to mention the CVT trans that's belt driven. No wonder it's golf cart slow otherwise you'd rip the belt right off of it. At least the Highlander has better technology.
….Highlander limited has 12.3” screen &. think 2.5 safety sense

A $50,000 vehicle yet Apple carplay and Android auto requires a USB cable, despite coming with a wireless charger!
Toyota is such petty company that even on a $40k vehicle, its backup camera doesn't even have a dynamic grid lines. It practically cost them nothing to put it in. I rented a Kia Forte recently in Hawaii, the little kia has a super backup camera grid lines. Backing up into tight spots at resorts is so much easier. Now it is getting worse, in the $60k platinum, you can't even get the digital rear view mirror option. Damn!
