I remember hiking this trail almost 20 years ago with my Walking in the Wilderness professor from Champlain College, Jim Ellefson. He taught how out of shape I was at the time and take daily walks ever since. We had lasagna at his Plainfield home after it was great. We got to the point where the lean tos were and he says, “write something describing being above the clouds” and I wrote about the clouds floating around the area at the time it was foggy. I still have the journal. Lol he would call me “Brother.”
Looks like it was a hot one but you had fun nonetheless ❤

Gorgeous hike! Didn't look too busy at all, but yea, hot for sure. Stunning view at the fire tower! Just subbed! Looking forward to more! If you like hikes in the Whites at all it'd be cool to support back 😀 🙏
