Did Longs yesterday for my 16th overall, 14th this year and have to agree. What a gem of a trail. Honestly can't wait to be back on it for different routes and different seasons.
Great list! My only major disagreement is on Bross - the standard route is definitely F, but the S Gully (from kite lake) was a really pleasant easy snow climb that I'd recommend to anyone looking for an intro snow climb or a warmup hike! Probably B-C tier with that route
Thanks for all the info this is amazing. Congrats on hitting so many peaks. Planning on torreys and greys next march. Hope to get snow. Is it as busy around march?
It’s funny you mention how you didn’t catch any storms on Sherman because I got hit with one on the summit while doing my first 14er last weekend. When my hair started standing up I lost my shit lol thinking I was going to get struck, I probably wasn’t too far away from it. My head kept feeling zaps of static while I was ducked by a rock

Just as a subtle note, there are a good handful of 14ers that have long techincal rock climbing routes similar to the diamond

Thanks for watching! Winter climbing is a whole other thing. Much fewer people and much more challenging
If longs peak wasn’t S tier I think I would have a fit.

@Qqqqql that's a close call! Weather can come in quicker than you'd think. Always best to be headed down by noon.
Great list !
Awesome 😎
Omg this is hilarious, I should do a tier list of rock climbing walls at Shelf Road
Great list, longs is my first and only 14er, got sick doing it LOL.
wonderful series, great, informative presentation. your gal from MA
Dig this! Wish the pics had names on them
Cool series!
Would you recommend grays and torreys for a tuesday ascent?
A weekday should definitely help with crowds, yes! It's still winter up there now, it's really only high summer when it makes a difference
