I’m 20 weeks pregnant and I work as a birth doula. I didn’t plan to be pregnant right now - it’s certainly giving me even more empathy for our clients/patients during the pandemic. So hard for all of us. I got COVID when I wasn’t pregnant in 2021. I’m hoping to avoid it this pregnancy but I really appreciate your story. It helps.

When I was 8 months pregnant I got covid a second time while pregnant and drs gave me this med. it did scare me cuz there were no studies on pregnant women. I had mild symptoms tho but since I am not vaccinated they recommended taking it. It did work out and Happy to say my baby is healthy! 3 months PP.

I had covid at 18 week recently. I hadn’t yet had my autumn booster (I’m in the U.K.) but I had all my previous 3 vaccines, but last one was in December 2021. I then had covid the first time in March/April 22. Please can you tell me if you would consider me ‘vaccinated’ at the time I caught covid recently? I don’t have any serious underlying conditions but they just told me to take OTC medicine. I called OBGYN after and they didn’t recommend it or mention it to me so I’m just currently using otc medicine like mucinex and Tylenol cold and flu stuff and lots of beneficial vitamins. You think I should push the paxlivid if my symptoms get worse? So far they’ve been the same as yours and mild.

I’m 35 weeks today exactly and I felt awful two mornings in a row for about half an hour but then felt fine but after I left my fetal
Medicine appointment today I went downhill super fast and was shivering so badly I was banging into the hallway while running ti hop
In a boiling hot shower for the third time. I’m
single from two days after getting pregnant and have a 2 year old toddler so totally alone. I had preeclampsia in 2020 Witt my little girl that turned into HELLP syndrome and we both nearly died and had to have an emergency life saving c-section at 35/4. She was only the size of a 28 weeker as she got cerebral redistribution syndrome due to my placenta stopping working due to the HELLP.
It was terrifying. This pregnancy was going so well until today when I got home from
FMU I just got so sick but I’m
Double vaccinated (student nurse) and so mum told me to take a test while I was on the phone to her and it tested dark dark positive on the RAT test at home within seconds. It was like a super strong pregnancy test! I didn’t get Covid the entire pandemic. I am
SO SORE. I can’t sleep. Shortness of breath. Terrible congestion. Shivering then overheating. Pretty sure my two year old has it too but don’t know if it’s worth traumatising her trying to do a test. What do you think?

I'm 15 weeks I am vaccinated and I did have my booster but I missed the recent vaccination.. My doctor prescribed me paxlovid. I did take it it did give me that nasty taste in my mouth that just last and it kept making me fall asleep.. and I did take it for the full 5 days but before my doctor gave me the medication he asked me when did I test positive for covid and at what day was I when I first felt my symptoms because if I was 5 days past the symptoms that began they couldn't give me the medication so I think I was at day 3 of symptoms when they prescribed me the medication I don't know if that means anything or anything like that... but I am finished taking the medication I do feel much better my only symptoms I had which I thought was strep throat was my throat was burning very bad it started out with and then became a dry cough and then with the medication all I did again was fall asleep a lot.. I drank plenty of water kept my windows open in my room I did quarantine everyone in my house caught covet after that but I've just stayed away from everybody and now my kids and my husband or not feverish and they feel much better but I'm still wearing a mask even in my own house and gloves.. I was scared to take the medication but I did take it and if I must say I felt better really fast but one day after the medication was done I still was very very tired so I slept an extra like 2 days I mean don't get me wrong I woke up ate food drank and then I would fall asleep so my husband was more like the maid I felt really bad but he took care of all of us and we're all healthy right now I guess I'll come back at the end my pregnancy and tell you if it gave me any effects or anything to my baby so for the most part I'll just keep praying to God keeping my fingers crossed and pray that everything else goes well.. I really like this video and I hope my comment helps don't be afraid to take this medication I can't speak for the other but it definitely works for me I definitely feel much better and I do feel my baby moving around and things so I don't feel that nervous and I did order a Doppler off of Amazon for 80 bucks just so I can make sure my baby's heart will still beating if that'll make you feel any better...
