Feedback: I think it would be much cooler if berry bushes would be "harvestable" - so just picking up the ripe berrys instead of just ripping the whole plant out. 😅
@@sennaul I wouldnt even like the auto-replant. Its just more realistic and immersive if plants that are harvestable can actually be harvested. Not just berries but thinks like apples from apple trees too, you know. Everything that grows FROM a plant and isnt just the whole plant as in carrots for example. 😅 Dont know if you agree but thats what I think about that.
This has a very Final Fantasy feel to it with all the floating islands hanging around. Less science fiction; and more fantasy with some techy elements.
@@ardeof don't know a single one, all my favorite games have a lore, and lore/story is the main and most important thing for me (alongside with good gameplay of course, but story is more important and i can tolerate some mid gameplay), i mean, if there's no lore/story i'm not gonna be interested to play it if it's just an endless pointless game with nothing but gameplay
Feedback: love it, such games are so needed opposite all dystopian junk. But I think it needs some drama and depth. Like can you land on, let alone see earth, and see it poisoned? Are there companies trying to corrupt your solar punk with advertisements that offer green washing short cuts? Can you speak to others who need to be liberated from shortage anxieties? Is there also an alternative economic model, say gift economy, rather than the traditional exploitation capitalist model? Where's the story beneath the story? Will islands die, when over exploited, so you need to protect a healthy balance and diversity? Etc.
I love the idea of having these deserted flying structures. I think for the future development, it would be super epic if a small story line like in Raft was added, that does not make out the whole game but adds a little explorative spice to it. Also, this is exactly the kind of game I was always looking for and I sincerely hope the best for this game!!! Is there any way to support besides financially?
Gotta wait for someone make a geo-placement for those who want tidy space, and it also nice is we can turn on or off that easy because the terrain is not even to a bit adjust will be better
I feel like the basic farming needs to feel a bit more yechnologically advanced (or at least be able to be upgraded that way) with grow lights and nutrient dispeensers or whatnot. Something to tie the whole solarpunk theme into the gameplay. Like integrating tech into an artificial ecosystem you build in order to help it florish benefitting you and other creatures that start living within such ecosystem
Planet Crafter is also a good Relaxed survival game. Unless this game does not have a hunger meter, but I see Berries lol Either way this looks like fun. Going to wish list it. EDIT : Guess I already wish listed the game awhile back. Probably heard about it from a gaming channel I listen to while I am at work lol
I’d recommend making the hunger and thirst meters quite forgiving by default. Allowing players to focus more on high concept build ideas would be preferable to constantly having to think about where your next meal is coming from.
Can't wait to play this! 😍 The only thing I don't really get is the power lines on the ground. Wouldn't they make you stumble all the time?? Otherwise this game looks fantastic!
I love it. But I'm a lil afraid it might run out of content in 10 hours if not less (well maybe not I'm judging the amount of things i saw in the trailer). Happens with a lot of survival games when they don't have enough crafts/perks/goals. Icarus has the coolest perks and tech tree, but even tho it's my favorite not-story-based survival it has very little actual goals you work towards. The Forest has basically not much more than pretty short story and building and you're forced to go far places leaving your carefully built base behind to progress a story. Green Hell was so full of life-threatening things that you kinda don't need a goal because you're busy fighting for your life. Deep Stranded - To "win" they make you cosplay seaborder patrol and go into the waters for hours which is not very exciting. Really liked Demo of the Frontier but it was too short, and idk if it had so little robot upgrades and crafts because of the demo or is that the full release experience. Subnautica is #1 story-based survival for me, they solve the annoying problem of being forced out of your base to progress a story by allowing you having a base inside the cyclope submarine that you use to go to places. Raft is one of the greatest survival games i played, it took dozens of hours from me, it uses similar method to subnautica - your base is your transport. Then Slime rancher, not a survival but kinda a base builder, enjoyed it at first but then it became a careless grind, the only motivation to get more types of slimes is that selling the same ones inflates the price. But i loved the map and overall vibes, girls probably love that game. Anyway i hope you have success, and don't let little mistakes demotivate you! If you listen to the playerbase it all will be fine. Cheers!
Great feedback thank you! So even in the current very, very early phase, you play for longer than 10 hours. If you like Minecraft in survival mode and Raft, then you'll like Solarpunk. Please keep in mind that we are only 2 people, so everything takes a little longer.
Looks really cool! Any chance we could "bury" those electrical lines in some kind of underground layer? No idea how much work that would be to implement.
Nice looking so far, but that building with the very large surface area of glass walls would be comically expensive to keep heated in winter, there's no way such a waste of energy fits the notion of Solarpunk.
@@ninjafruitchilled No double paned glass window can match the thermal performance of a simple brick wall. Maybe you wanted to say triple paned? And what sustainable materials and process do you propose to use to make the high-performance reflective coatings?

I thought the -punk suffix just means it's an aesthetic/genre/style, like how there's Steampunk, Dieselpunk or Frostpunk. Yeah, the -punk genres are usually used to connote some dystopia, but it's a nice change to have a -punk genre that isn't a needless dystopia.

Building a house, getting solar panels or just flying an airship is much more expensive in real life. I guess it's the more peaceful and reliable game that draws people in. But I do see what you meant, it's nice to grow your own veggies and fruits
It's funny that you obfuscate who your developers actually are online. You pipe off that you are "based in Germany" leading me to believe you aren't actually a Western team.
