Love the Jeep, looks great. I watch a lot of these types of videos and your is outstanding. Great video. I just spent x-mas in Hawaii and rented a Jeep Wrangler while there, I just loved that thing. I was really surprised at the room in the back.
Hey thank you, I really appreciate the feedback!! And jeeps are pretty awesome, I've been driving them for 7 years now and honestly don't want anything else lol
Finally, another person that likes to snow camp. Just found your channel and subscribed. I just recently purchased a Wildfinder RTT to camp off the ground. I use the same sleeping bag that you just bought and I have an Amazon usb powered blanket that works great together. It was only 23 degrees the other night when we went camping. One of the things that I like about winter camping - less people and more peaceful. Love the clear panel on your JKUR.
Love this area! Man you killed it. Great video. Im a full time photographer, so I definitely appreciate a good sunrise from Rainier. You caught the perfect conditions, risky but worth the send! You gained a new follower. 😎🙌🏾
What a great trip that is an awesome area to explore during the summer in and in the winter time and to get a nice view of mt. Rainier at night and in the morning was great to see thank you for sharing 😊
Great overnighter! Unfortunate but also a blessing that a lot of roads are still open due to low snowpack. We just hit some higher areas up north, great time to be outside!! 👍🏻❄️🏔
John seems like a great guy, nice to see someone put time and effort into an unconventional vehicle… well done! I used to live in the Seattle area, also a contractor, moved to the east side!
Great video! Can you provide any info about the suction cup mounts you have on the side windows? How do they hold up in extreme temps (I'm mostly concerned about cold)? I appreciate it. Thanks!
They are from Sea sucker and are absolutely fantastic! I've been using them for a couple of years now and have run them up in northern Canada into the deep negative temps with no problem and have also run them in hundred degree + heat in the southwest with no issue
@@Outofthewoods_Adventures Awesome. Thanks! That's great to know. Might be the solution I go for. Your Jeep looks sick out there in the snow! Cool build!
Great video.Came to your channel from your friend channel (Grand Exploration). Love your freedom panels, would you mind in tell me where did you get it?
Great video. So I have that same chair. Does it actually recline? I think mine is either stuck or can’t get mine to work properly… Maybe it’s just a bad design?
thank you! So mine doesn't recline at all, I think it's more so meant to just kind of bounce similar to a rocking chair. I think they do make another version of this that does recline but that's not the way mine is
This is right around lonesome lake right? Looks like my favorite spot around here IVO haller pass. That lookout can be tough to get to, the last incline gets a ton of ice and I usually have to air down to 3 psi and have lockers engaged
Great video with spectacular views. Just wondering what tires you have? Snow rated AT? I currently hv factory Yokohama AT. Looking to upgrade for better use in the snow but still use them on the hwy. It’s my daily driver, 4Runner.
so this is also my daily, so I want a good tires that were kind of good all around. These are the Toyo MT's and I absolutely love them for everything. They ride well and are quiet on the freeway, handle mud and rock incredibly and surprisingly do very well in the snow as well. I've ran a lot of different kinds of tires and these are by far my favorite
I fully agree, only reason why I did here was because I knew the trail well, and am pretty confident in my recovery skills and have lots of gear to recover if needed
Nice video. I always bring an extra trash bag when out, because I know there will always be trash left behind by inconsiderate people. At least it’s an opportunity for a teaching moment for the kids.
How do you like the Toyo MT's and how they run in the PNW? I heard they are not the best in wet conditions/snow but it looks like they work perfectly fine?
I am on my second set of them and absolutely love them. They run excellent on dirt and rocks and honestly I've been surprised how well they do in the wet and very well in the snow. Also since this is my daily driver I have been quite impressed with how well they do on the freeway
thank you very much, I really appreciate the compliment. His set up is a lift with 35s, I'm not sure about his gearing but I know he doesn't have lockers
Most people don't understand the battery technology. Lower voltage vs higher voltage. Always choose the highest voltage possible. Milwaukee M18 chainsaw is inferior to any 40v, 60, or 80v. I would pick 80v Ryobi chainsaw for power and battery health. M18 batteries will overheat and degrade over a short period of time vs the 80v batteries. The best way to explain is. 2 cylinder engine 4 cylinder engine 6 cylinder engine 8 cylinder engine. Which would you choose? M18 would be considered as a 2 cylinder engine.
Look up Diablo pruning blade…. This and a sawzaw go a long way…. (Assuming you have a sawzaw….) not to detract from your desire for an electric chainsaw- these blades are $20-25 and Home Depot usually has them :)
I feel like you aired down too much too early. With the speeds you're going and the packed snow, you could have done it without airing down, down to 20s PSI for comfort if you want, but could really save your tires from deteriorating. The side road is where you should start to air down that low.
So I actually did air down on the side road, and I was never going more than 15 mph. Also the tires I have are made for this so I'm really not concerned about damaging them, I really appreciate the concern though
Great vid and spot. Im local based in Olympia always up for a trip, have a first gen tacoma with retro Wildernest. Hit me up if ya need some drone shots and second GoPro. My Taco setup on my channel.
It's not something to buy in to, it's just a simple fact that it works... Ask any person that wheels in the snow. If the whole idea of airing down is to create more surface why wouldn't it work on snow?? I've done plenty of wheeling in snow, and some without airing down and when I don't I notice very quick. I'll often go as far as I can without airing down just to see and in deep powder I will always eventually come to a stop with my wheels just spinning. I'll hop out and air down, and then immediately be able to push forward more, so it definitely works
you can get the roof painted with certain trim levels but honestly if mine was painted it would show a lot more scratches ha ha so I'm not too worried about it
That clear roof panel sure gives the viewer a cool view of your drive
it's one of my favorite things I've done to my Jeep honestly
I've had mine on for 3 years now, still loving it
That was a great video thanks you. I look at Mt Rainer every day from work. I can't wait to go do some camping out there.

Thanks man! Yeah it's a pretty awesome feature to have, especially for the views in this spot.

Thanks for sharing a great adventure. For starting a fire I make fire starters out of old candles and egg cartons, I place them inside my log cabin.

Love seeing cool places to go in our beautiful state of WA any suggestions I'm actually looking to get out before winter ends
