France 2024 is booked - We did it Last Minute

- Hello & Welcome back to Caravan Escapades and welcome to this Vlog. So we did the normally brown thing and do a crazy thing last minute and headed over to Cleethorpes for Fish & Chips. Well, that wasn’t the only crazy thing we did today, with no real planning at all we booked our French holiday for 2024 with only a couple of months to go. We are super excited and are heading to Camping Les Pre Catalan, we have booked with Irish Ferries through CMHC and have take their Red Pennant Insurance once again, We did look at Eurotunnel and it was considerably cheaper than last year but so is the ferry and with nearly £200 difference we had to go for the ferry again.

Big saving you made in your crossing, bet your pleased you just checked before you booked tunnel.
It will be, be interesting to see how easy it is on the pitches in the south. Pitches are normally ok, but the lanes to the pitch can be narrow. I am glad ref the savings, Last Year the Ferry was about £560 so I thought I was getting a good deal with the tunnel till I checked.

Look forward to the vlogs James. We are just getting round to looking at dates. Know what you mean in difference in ferry tunnel prices. We did Irish Ferries last year. Not bad. Booked VIP lounge it was excellent.

Hi, We are looking forward to making the Vlogs, now its booked, we cant wait to go, Claire has already stated with the packing list :-). We actually got the VIP lounge last year on the way back at no additional charge. The site does look good especially as it was a last minute booking. Only thing is the children's pool facilities don't seem as comprehensive as we have had in previous years. I am sure Darcie-May will love it all the same.

Hi, Its mainly because of the limited Time I am able to have for Holidays with Work, France is such a big country as well so much to see, We do tend to go south but take our time going down and always seem to tray a different route south and don't plan any of the stops so always stop in a new place. We also never seem to go to the same place when we get to the south as well always try something new. We do plan when we have more time in the future to go further, Spain / Italy who knows where.
