@ferrucciolamborghini7182 I’m going to take this as aspirational and not rude. I spoke it as a child and lost the language when we moved away from mom’s CV family and my mother worked all the time. Now, I work full time while raising a child. I don’t know your life and you don’t know mine, so it’s cool that you were able to do that, but Learning a second language as an adult is an undertaking not everyone has the time or resources for.
We, Cape Verdeans, carry in our hearts our essence, regardless of the language we choose to express ourselves. It's a deep sense of Cape Verdean identity that binds us together. When you learn to speak Creole, you will open the door to this wonderful world that is ours.
I learnt Portugues when i just 16 years old, and i am Italian it is so easy. Can i speak perfect Portugues no, but if i live few weeks in Brasil i will. You have no excuses for not learning
