I found it funny 🤣 even though Sam was hesitant to go into the dangerous ghost zone the minute she heard jazz looking for someone to go over her diary she changed her mind and the way she said you drive to tucker lol 😅. Also that was some midlife crisis jazz was going through she's so obsessed with being right she actually wants someone to read her diary.
I think this episode establishes that the Fentons are a dysfunctional family. First of all there's jack who's obsession with ghost causes problems like forgetting his anniversary. Then there's Maddie who even though she's more reasonable than her husband can act rash when she's emotional like how she obliviously launched Danny into space because she was angry at Jack. Then there's jazz who tries to be as she says an adult in a teen body but she's so distracted with the fact that she was wrong about her dad she ignores Danny's concerns about their parents getting divorced and her brother is usually her top priority she basically has the opposite problem of her mother where her logical side can get in the way of her emotions and then there's Danny who puts too much pressure on himself and is a nervous wreck worried about his parents getting divorced over a simple gift.
Other than aunt alicia I haven't seen any other relatives of the fentons it's never mentioned if Danny and jazz have any living grandparents if that's true it makes since why jazz feels she has to be her brother third parent since even though Jack and Maddie care for their kids their obsession with ghosts puts their children at risk as seen in this episode.
Episodes like this that force enemies to work together are always interesting like skulker said the enemy of my enemy is my friend and this won't be the end of that during the whole series.
Aunt alicia calls jack a fool for believing in ghost but her sister does the same and despite her distain for jack and his own for her I think it's sweet she genuinely cares for maddie I wonder if like vlad she dosen't hold her dislike of jack against her niece and nephew danny especially since she seems to dislike males.
