This is it. I have been trying to find a custard rice pudding like my mother made. The only difference is she added raisins. You killed me at the end tasting it. I kept reaching into the screen when you brought the spoon up! Thanks very much.
I made your recipe and it reminded me of the rice pudding my grandmother used to make. I always wished I had gotten her recipe before she passed away. This recipe tasted closest to hers of all the ones I’ve tried. It really did take 90 minutes to cook! Next time I will cook it even longer for a crispier top. Thanks for sharing!
It was so good, this is my moms recipe. Takes me back to my childhood. I had a chance to check out your channel and website. You have alot of delicious recipes on there. I'm glad you checked out my recipe, I subscribed. We home cooks have to stick together. 🙂❤️
In this recipe I would only use cooked rice, it blends better with the custard. Uncooked rice will make it too stiff and not creamy. But there are recipes that use uncooked rice, I am not a fan of those. This is t he way my mom made it and it's delicious. 🙂❤️
I just made it & very sweet after I put the sugar in personally there is too much sugar so next time will reduce the intake of sugar I don't mind sweetness in things but then everyone's taste is different
Yes everyone has different taste. Next time you make it use less sugar, my family likes it sweet. I'm sorry if it was too much sugar for you. Thanks for watching and the comments. 🙂❤️❤️
