Awesine catches! We were in the Wando last Sunday before the rain chased us out. The darn blue fish were biting our plastics in half. The grandson thought it was cool since he usually fishes on fresh water.lol

Have you had any success bottom fishing the structure at the ballpark. If so, what type of fish, bait and tide? Thanks!

Hey Trout Tamer, Fishing around the ballpark can be interesting. If I'm fishing an outgoing tide then I'll fish to the right of the small boat ramp all the way past the power lines and will pick up trout and redfish using zman trd green pumpkin goby. If fishing an incoming tide, then I will fish to the left of the boat ramp all the way to the 41 bridge. I've picked up redfish and flounder using the zman trd green pumpkin goby. If you try to fish the outgoing tide to the left of the ramp the current is way too strong. I would think that a basic Carolina rig would work in that area with cut mullet or blue crab as well. Plan on losing some rigs as there is still a lot of debris from the old shipyard that used to be there. Hope this helps.

@@saltwaterjacksfishing Thank you. This is very informative and helpful. I tried bottom fishing on all the structure showing on my bottom machine, but the outgoing tide was moving way to fast as all I had was 1 oz sinkers. My bottom machine was marking fish, but just couldn’t get to them. Again, thanks and I enjoy your videos.

@Trout Tamer Let me know how you do? I might try bottom fishing with a carolina rig in that area, and I'll let you know what happens. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. It's a lot of work but it's my new hobby and I enjoy putting them together. I have no delusions of becoming a UA-cam star, just like sharing info and adventures. Thx again
