Hi Stephanie, I too have aging skin although I take very good care of it. I love anything radiant or dewy. I work in a hair salon as a stylist and with blowdryers and lights i need a primer that actually works! I love the guerlain l'or. I don't know if ppl who didn't notice anything read the directions. I'm so glad u mentioned the tacky feel because it says to immediately apply your foundation when u feel that. That is what makes it like "glue " for your foundation but in a great way. I noticed ANY foundation i use with it looks better and i do get a firmer feel. U have beautiful skin and maybe don't need that. :) Thankyou so much for the meteorites review...now I'm excited to try it. As for the L'or....I'm hooked!
Hi Lynn! I wish it had worked for me. I don't know why my skin reacted the way it did. I'm glad the meteorites worked well for me though! Let me know what you think of it if you try it! Yes, I understanding needing a primer (and foundation) that works! I'm in and out of a hot car and walking in the heat and humidity most of the year. It can be brutal! Thank you!

I purchased the Baby Glow Touch which this is for people of color and it gives a Big Beam and you can use this with/without foundation. The Glow Touch is not a color correction but a highlight for everyday use, however, you have to apply this from the south to north of your cheeks. I was amazed to see the white beam upon my brown skin which looked great when I applied this without foundation. This is a great find by Guerlain and no one knows about it.
Probably a sensitivity to gold made you get the bumps. Some people reported getting milia from the L’or. I think it’s a gold sensitivity.
The guerlain L’Or primer I have and it’s amazing ! Best primer ever ! But now that’s it’s half way nearly done I want to see whether or not I should go for the meteorites pearl one ... even though it’s s few dollars more expensive here in Australia ($123) I need to know which one is better , so glad I found this video !
Thank you so much for doing a comparison on all these primers. Been looking for reviews on what to get at sephora for the upcoming vib on the 11th. These Guerlain primers has so much raves and the Becca one. I'm super oily but I tend to get dry when the temperature gets cool and by using AHA'S. I love my hour glass (this is my holy grail) makes my foundation last for a really long time, but it doesn't cut it when I'm dry so might get the LOR (tried this before and works great. This helps with my foundation not cling to the dry patches on my face) and also want to get the Becca for some radiance on my face, maybe mix it with my matte foundation so it won't look flat? Is it okay to use this after the hour glass? So it extends the wear time of the foundation rather than just using it by itself?
+dimplezpink I haven't tried mixing it after using my HG but I don't think it would be a problem. I've mixed the Becca with foundation and used on bare skin before. It works nicely that way. The only way to tell is to try! :) Thanks for watching!

great review of the primers.. there is something in the Becca products that I'm allergic too. This year I am on a mission to find products that are as close to what I use., that cost less. I am using a L'Oréal eye product, that I like better than the Estee Lauder I have used for years. I have found dupes for the Estee lip liners, you can't tell the difference. Have you ever tried Estee Lauder Idealist? ..I have used it ever since it was introduced, fabulous product. I did not hear any noise from outside.

I am 57. And I can’t really even found a foundation or B.B. that doesn’t settle. I now have to not put a lot on, go around my wrinkles my mouth and eyes. You have to use any primer lightly. So for primer ? I’ll have to try those. I Just love your channel and you. I’ll get the travel size. Can’t afford any. Boo. Ha

Great review Stephanie. I am glad you said the Guerlain L'Or didn't show any signs of tightness. I had high hopes based on all the reviews, but it was a huge fail for me. i do use BECCA's First Light Filter Face Primer and performs really well for me.

Stephanie, I know you probably won't see this or at least not for a long time, but I do have a couple of questions;
1.) Which primer do you like best of all, is flattering, & works best with most all (or lots) of your makeup?
(I want one for minimizing pores and was SO disappointed to hear here in this video, that Hourglass doesn't do that😞.).
2.) Whic primer seemed to fill in crevices, pores, or at least disguise them?

I really like Hourglass Veil Mineral primer too and have to agree about it with Nars Sheer Glow....I have combo skin...I actually bought both. On the same day so I kept using them for some time ...yep in denial. I have guerlains L'Or primer now too and really like that... in comparison my Hourglass one seems like just thinned down silicone base. Anyway great to see these three compared...just subbed!
Ps no firming with L'Or primer though either!

+Amy pham berthod I had heard that too. But it seemed that people with combo/oily skin who tried them both didn't end up liking the NYX one nearly as much. I haven't tried it myself though. If I see it maybe I'll pick it up!

it has some tint to it so I could wear like bb cream . definitely give me summer glow:-)

Why do you rarely demonstrate the use of the products you discuss?
Hi Kara. I did a testing new makeup video about a week ago, a mascara routine a couple of weeks prior, a concealer hack shortly before that, and a summer bronze look a little before that. One of my next videos is a long wearing foundation routine. I also have GRWM and challenging eyes playlists. I (and lots of other channels) don’t do them as often as other videos because they get less views than other types of videos, which tells us that there’s not as much interest. I decided, though, that I will be incorporating them more in the upcoming months bc I enjoy doing them.
