It's a good amount of traction. I have used some Thule saddles over the years, and they were so sticky that I had a problem sliding the boats up. I think this is just right. :-)
Thanks for the video. I've just ordered a pair but haven't received them yet. One question: at 4:05, aren't there washers that fit between the brackets and wing nuts? Thanks again!
Looking at the megawing but sea it is only 27.5" (1/2" longer than sea wing) Most fishing Kayaks are greater than 33". Is there space to access the loop holes if the kayak is on the wings?
I typically leave the inside side of the SeaWings with the strap in place, then I just feed it through the outside side. The Predators are wider than the saddles, but I have no problem feeding the strap through the holes. :-)
Funny. I'm google searching the seawing to fit onto my xsporter rack and you have an unpacking.....perfect timing......I'm putting a lot of money in transporting my kayak, more in the rack than the cost of the 10ft Wilderness Tarpon that I bought secondhand.
Awesome review and unboxing.
Thanks!!! :-)
How would you describe the friction of the wings to the kayak. Looking for something that would prevent sliding and eliminate need for now stern lines

They actually don't come with washers at this time. :-)

Nice! We must be on the same wavelength! :-)
Proline.com is where I got my xSporter and looks like they have the wings for $115, free shipping.....
That's a good deal. They retail at $139.
Just ordered. Thanks again for reviewing.
Cool! :-) You're very welcome!
How is it at highway speed? 70mph? Is it stable?
Very stable! I drive all over the country and never had any issues at all. 👍😊
Does it hold the PREDATOR XL?
Yep, I carry all my Predators on them. My XL lives on my trailer on a pair of them. :-)
Would it work with Hobie pro 12??
I have never tried, but it should. I keep an Old Town Predator XL on them. :-)
