I think the final girl in this had one of the best fight scenes with Jason... and the only reason I think the backstory was added was to show that she had managed to defeat him once before. Some people theorize that when she passed out, she was playing dead so Jason moved on.
At least in this Film as well as Part 4 Jason Voorhees is in a way somewhat slightly better Camouflaged in his Wilderness during all Seasons with that Olive Green Utility Work Shirt & those Gray/Grey Utility Work Pants whether Dark Gray/Grey (Blackish Charcoal) or Light Gray/Grey (Foliage like/Wolf like)!
Friday the 13th 3 is one of my faves and actually knocked off E.T at the top of the box office after E.T was number one forever, Friday the 13th 4 is my fave of the franchise.

The Harpoon only made sense because Shelly was a "Horror Fan" and was making up his own ideas on how to scare people. Illogical for no logic! lol My logic about why Jason is so "Different" each movie. "JASON" himself is a legend. With a legend like that people Interpret what he looks or acts like differently Each Time somebody tells the story. So the Inconsistency is for the Narrative's sake over the Logic of how Jason would be (IN REALITY) from movie to movie.. IMO
Why I love to watch any woman reacting to horror films is that they try to apply common sense logic to a HORROR MOVIE!!! LOL That's why we love horror movies, the acting is almost always terrible; we want to see gnarly carnage candy & for the characters to do and/or say the most illogic things!!
Nah. There are plenty of horrors with good acting. Some of the best ones have only a few kills and little to no gore. Most of the ones with 5 kills a minute and loads of blood only rely on those 2 things because they have nothing else. And nobody likes dumb characters continually doing dumb shit.
I had a van just like that one back in the day, reserve tank and all. Mine was a stick though. I also (ironically) took it on camping trips.
