YES! Amazing. The most incredibly thorough breakdown of this step I've seen. they don't teach as well in classes or even private lessons. Thanks Tytus & LiWen. You guys are such fantastic teachers and you complete each other! I can see your passion for teaching and dancing. Inspires me to wanna dance more. ❤️💙💚💛💜
@@DanceInsanity I need help with everything! But I could use help with spot turns and also leg action for samba. I really like your botafogo video - very funny and useful. Cusadas walks and locks?
Thanks so much, was broken down so well. Some time can you please show how the leader makes the follower close her feet while in fan position. I sort of got a clue watching Tytus arm action when he was demonstrating knowing your partners footwork with out moving. It goes to show you that if you dance only using your feet you can't go any where. I can see through your legs hips and upper body actions movement is so much easier and pleasing to the eye.
Hi Kieth! that is a great suggestion! I remember when I first figured it out, I'll talk to the boss and see if we can make that happen in a video for ya. thanks! Tytus
Keith Adolph Great observations! Closing Fan is an interesting connection for sure... We'll add to our idea list. 👍🏼 Thank u for the question. Bravo for pointing out -Footwork is just one small part of Latin dancing. To complete the picture, there's much more at work. 💯💪🏼🕺☀️
Really awesome and talented couple. Teaching is very clear to understand beautiful techniques in addition to entertainment. I just want to thank you so much. If they come to Canada, I will definitely take private lessons with them.
@@DanceInsanity I can swivel pretty well when I do them separately, just to practice. So I thought I will do it in alemana no problem. But it turned out to be challenging! I need to practice more:/
Yulia - Yes. Practice practice. It's amazing how well the body likes and responds to consistent practice. I also find it helpful to focus on pulling my center up right as I step onto the left foot right into the swivel. That combined with using the hip rotation. Perfect recipe for a good swivel action. :)
Dance Insanity great tip! Thank you! I will practice more. I notice that I get better the more I practice. I had a very busy week last week and I could tell I was a bit rusty in my dance class yesterday
This does not help me at all. How about teaching alemana from a fan position or any other positions we can use it with - the dance steps leading to alemana and the steps after the alemana. I pick up in dance combinations. Thank you.
Super detailed lesson! Lots to practice now. Thanks. Your footwork friday videos are fantastic. Now, I have a backlog of things to practice. No more excuses for me.
I follow you guys for quite a while already. I do not like your shenanigans very much, may be because I am at quite advanced age, but ! I would say that this is so far the best explanation of alemana with all those valuable and indispensable: directions, timing, hip movements, feet placement etc. Thank you very much for your input to dance community, big "like".
@@DanceInsanity Badly Stumbling walking the Rumba walk:) I am inconsistent on that hip movement. I am also taking some classes to augment your video lessons. (But that is American Rumba.) Your videos are guiding me every quick -quick slow of this journey. You guys have done an awesome job articulating with empathy and talking the talk that I can relate.
I don't think the "knowing the followers footwork" is that useful. Better to know what to expect for the followers weight position and how to sense it.
The steps might seem similar, but an Alemana is different than a spot turn because of its direction+ alignment with your partner. Leg brushing action is optional - that can be done within a spot turn as well as Alemana. :)
LiWen is your boss. Lol
that is correct! lol!
Always!! 💪🏼👸🏻

Love your teaching style. Very easy. The best
Thanks for a great video! Very comprehensive and detailed explanations. I also like the many repetitions with music at the end.
glad you like it, thanks!

Wowww bro I like your belt

Thanks so much Albert! 😊
Whereabouts in Canada so u dance?
i think i can use a breakdown like that for every single step! is that asking too much? ;)
Not all all!! Haha. 👍🏼
I'm going to practice my alemana with a swivel now. Very excited! Looking forward to your next video as always;)
oh great! go for it Yulia!

They are very good. The only wish they talk less and teach more. It easy to get distracted by unnecessary cuteness
@Faroog Sheikh Appreciate your feedback! Any other steps/ dances that you'd like to see more tutorials of.. with less "unnecessary cuteness"? 😉🙃
good point, thanks for the suggestion!
wow, this is perfect, thank you! can you teach the step free dancing? 😊
welcome... that's a good idea, thanks!

Perfect partners! You're already there..Congratulations..
All you need is time, and everything will fall into its rightful place.. More power..
Great, clear instruction. I love the repetition and the counting, for me, it accelerates the learning process.
I just LOVE the passion that you two show all the time! This makes it so much fun to watch and learn! It made quarantine so much easier ♡
@Elina Hull that's great that we're making quarantine easier! Stay healthy and dancing ❤️ Interested in online classes?
Isn’t that a spot turn? I thought alemana involved an extras step with even a brushing action in the process.
