There is an ongoing political debate going on in India that is bharat .The ruling party claims that name India is a colonial construct and historically it is known as bharat .Sir could you please throw some light on the historical naming of India in modern time and bharat in ancient time .
How is "India" a colonial construct? It has existed since 2000 years. But of course, it was mainly used by foreigners. There are some good videos by some UPSC coaching teachers on UA-cam about this topic. I recommend the one published by "Level Up IAS" channel.
